Defensive line coach Joe Cullen always seems to be screaming, but he’s got to be liking what he’s seen through training camp.
Joe’s got more video of the trench warfare at One Buc Palace! (more…)
A pretty cool Mike Evans interview by Charley Casserly aired Tuesday on NFL Network. And Evans isn’t really known for giving decent interviews. (more…)
Joe just wants to punch a wall because this franchise not only can’t find a guy who can breathe on a quarterback from the edge, but when the team had a guy who fit that description, they let him walk away for no good reason! (more…)
It is the trifecta that keeps Bucs fans awake in the wee hours munching TUMS like they are M&Ms. And that three-headed source of indigestion is no pass rush, shaky offensive line and a rookie quarterback. (more…)
Former NFL general manager and current NFL Network talking head Charley Casserly was at One Buc Palace to survey Tampa Bay this week, and pay particular attention to “America’s Quarterback,” Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston. (more…)
Yes, there is a large sect out there that acts like infants without a bottle if they cannot qualify something to a number.
They will whine and cry and scream until they suck a pacifier, or in this case, a calculator in their hands. (more…)
Joe absolutely loves the start of training camp. But it gets old fast. And it’s not just because Joe must deal with standing in downpours, broiling in the sun and absorbing sneers from hateful media types.
After a few practices, Joe is ready for opening day. Real football. (more…)
Bucs defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier may be the quietest Buccaneer at training camp. Perhaps it’s because he hasn’t gotten over what happened at quarterback during that famous Vikings’ Monday Night Football game of 2013.
Frazier hasn’t been saying much, but he did talk to Joe’s new friend Josina Anderson of ESPN. (more…)
Good things are happening on the Bucs’ offensive line — in the running game.
Joe not only gets a close-up view at practice, but Joe has the benefit of reviewing practice video. (more…)
Joe referenced already how cornerback Alterraun Verner is having a nice early training camp, playing so much better than last year.
Again, Joe has to qualify it: The Bucs have had but four practices. Very, very early. (more…)
Joe is paid the small bucks to share whatever Joe finds interesting or moving in the world of the Bucs.
And there was a tense moment worth mentioning after training camp practice yesterday. (more…)
Joe’s already called opening day against the Tennessee Titans on Sept. 13 in Tampa a “must-win.”
It’s not a must-win for the standings. Duh. But it is necessary for the psyche of a fanbase that’s hasn’t seen a home victory since 2013, and compares Jameis Winston to Marcus Mariota. (more…)
All Joe and just about everyone who follows the Bucs had heard through the draft process and into training camp was that “America’s Quarterback,” Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston, was all football. (more…)
Bucs coach Lovie Smith invoked MMA fighter Ronda Rousey when talking about “America’s Quarterback,” Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston yesterday.
Joe likes creative analogies but must confess this one left Joe scratching his head.
Yesterday, in his daily presser, Lovie Smith was asked about the development of “America’s Quarterback,” Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston. This somehow dovetailed into Lovie invoking the name of MMA fighter Ronda Rousey. (more…)
Joe is peppered with questions all the time about what player is standing out in the early days of training camp. Joe usually hesitates to answer because it is so early, some guys that are getting noticed will be assistant produce managers at Publix in a few weeks. (more…)
Multimedia Joe aims to please, and what could be more pleasing than Jameis Winston, America’s Quarterback completing a quick strike? (more…)
Joe was back in the steel cage this evening with the dean of Tampa Bay sports radio, Steve Duemig of WDAE-AM 620.
The “JoeBucsFan Hour” returned for madness and mayhem and all kinds of takes out of training camp. (more…)
Joe will never forget after a memorable training camp practice last year, where Bucs linebackers struggled to stop tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Joe mentioned to ASJ that he had a helluva day. (more…)
