“Except for three games this year, we’ve been in every one. So I think true football fans can see that we are on the verge. We have built a foundation. We’re not there yet. But in time we will win football games around here, and win a lot of football games. Going through tough times like this, going through adversity like we’re doing. It’s making us stronger.” —Lovie Smith, Monday, Dec. 15, on the Buccaneers Radio Network. [read more]

Joe’s finally figured out the identity of the Bucs offense: it’s a tired, impotent man that occasionally revives with Viagra, but not nearly enough to satisfy anyone.
Tampa Bay had 76 first-half yards today on 27 plays. That wasn’t bad considering their first 15 plays amounted to zero net yards. [read more]

So here we are, the Sunday before Christmas and it’s a Packers convention at the Den of Depression — Green Bay South.
Hey, what do you expect? The Bucs haven’t given fans any reason to come to games this year and Packers fans are escaping the long and brutal winter of Wisconsin.
Bang it here for your thoughts during the game, no matter how many picks Aaron Rodgers may throw, no matter how many sacks Da’Quan Bowers may have.
As always, Joe encourages you to e-mail URLs of illegal video streams of the game among yourselves, but posting said illegal links here can and will get your run.
Go Bucs!

The only thing right about the offense of the Bucs is the wide receivers. Mike Evans very well may be rookie of the year and Vincent Jackson is quietly having a Pro Bowl-like season.
The outlook today appears grim with hotshot Hollywood starlet-shagging Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers coming off a bad game. Rodgers is lethal after bad game, not that he has had many of them. [read more]

Joe gets the sense, though nothing has been confirmed, that Anthony Collins will never start at left tackle again for the Bucs. He may never play another snap.
Last week, Collins was, in NHL terms, a healthy scratch. He was benched for awful play, replaced by right tackle Demar Dotson. Collins seemed shocked. [read more]

One of many offensive struggles plaguing the Bucs is pass protection from running backs.

Demar Dotson discusses his move to left tackle in great detail
Last week, after the loss to the Stinking Panthers, Bucs left tackle Demar Dotson told reporters he was flipped from his normal right tackle position on orders from “upstairs.”
To Joe, upstairs is a loaded word in NFL jargon. [read more]

A possible Bucs target?
Not everyone knows about the Packers’ other stud receiver, Randall Cobb, who should be a handful for the Bucs on Sunday.
The 24-year-old speedster has 76 catches for 1,076 yards and 10 touchdowns. He’ll be a free agent in a matter of weeks and reports out of Green Bay say contract talks have stalled.

When Doug Martin slashed through the Raiders defense in 2012, it marked the last time the team had consecutive 150-yard rushing days.
At least in the past three seasons, no matter how deep the stable of Bucs running backs is, no matter who has been coach or offensive coordinator, the rushing game has revolved around one man.
That man’s name is Doug Martin. [read more]
