Bucs linebacker Danny Lansanah hopped on WDAE-AM 620 today and talked about how Jameis Winston will not come into the locker room and change the culture of the team.

How was the mood at One Buc Palace last night?
Jason Licht mentioned the draft party the Bucs held at the Den of Depression, saying, in a not-so-veiled reference to how he wanted to celebrate the draft choice of Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston, “I’ve heard that there’s a lot of people over there at the stadium,” Licht said. “Heard that’s a pretty good crowd, they’re pretty excited – I wish I was over there. Bucs GM Jason Licht fought off going all Dick Vermeil last night.
Jason Licht was one happy camper last night. It’s not often you scout a college football player jumps out at you and you think, “Man, would I ever love to draft that guy.”
Then more than a year later, you do.
That was what the general manager Jason Licht did last night drafting Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston to lead the Bucs out of too many years of despair. (more…)

Joe doesn’t begin to suggest he knows Jameis Winston. Joe has met the guy twice, but not in a private setting.

No person pushed Bucs coach Lovie Smith to draft Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota more than Father Dungy.
With his track record of quarterbacks, Joe has no idea how Dungy all of a sudden became a modern day Bill Walsh when it came to the game’s most important position. (more…)
