The Buccaneers’ No. 1 receiver, 21-year-old star Mike Evans, hasn’t taken his foot off the gas since working out with Randy Moss this spring and joining America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, for a summer chemistry session in Tallahassee. (more…)
It’s the countdown feature you’ve all been waiting for. Not really, but on the heels of last year’s award-winning “20 Worst Buccaneers Of The Past 10 years” feature, Joe had to deliver.
A list like this is highly subjective and toxic. Fits of rage were common during production meetings at JoeBucsFan.com world headquarters. Scared interns soiled their pants. Full beer bottles were smashed, and a treasured Rachel Watson poster was accidently destroyed. But order was restored.
Current and former general managers and head coaches might not like what’s coming, but it had to be done. This is what happens when your team is 30-70 in its last 100 games. (more…)
‘Tis the season of lists! There is a list for quarterbacks. There is a list for defenses. There is even Joe’s list of hottest Bucs cheerleaders (Do you really wonder who Joe has ranked atop such a list?). (more…)
Joe knows that before the draft, the thin-skinned, scared midwives who curled up in fetal positions and sucked their thumbs at the thought of the Bucs drafting a quarterback, much less “America’s Quarterback,” signal-caller Jameis Winston, howled in protest. (more…)
In the dog days of July, after folks have finished blowing off fireworks, it’s research time, as NFL teams all but shut down their facilities.
So the spreadsheeters have been working overtime at Pro Football Focus as the dawn of training camp is within sight. (more…)
Joe confesses to purchasing a living dinosaur on Sunday, that would be a traditional newspaper called The Tampa Tribune.
It was extremely enjoyable reading, except the sports section was downright puzzling. (more…)

Then again, those three likely rookies, “America’s Quarterback,” Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston, left tackle Donovan Smith and right guard Ali Marpet, are an upgrade over the drek that played those positions last year. (more…)

Bucs fans for years have had irritable bowel syndrome when it comes to safeties.
Obviously, Sabby the Goat was the perfect example but in latter years, the likes of Sean Jones, Mark Barron and Hawk Goldson have kept Bucs fans on the bowl for longer periods than expected. Those safeties have basically been bad hotel toilet paper. (more…)

Penn State is “Linebacker U.” USC is known for pumping out offensive linemen. Miami cranks out wide receivers.
And on it goes. (more…)
Right now, less than a year removed, the 2014 Bucs draft looks to be a one-man band. Mike Evans has been nothing less than a home run.
The rest of the draft? Shaky, to be polite.
Running back Charles Sims sure looked to be forced into playing duty. Nothing he did impressed Joe. But Joe is willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt since he got hurt in preseason. (more…)
