Interesting name on list.
Only two Bucs quarterbacks are listed in the pewter pirates’ top-five passing performances in postseason history.
And neither name is “Doug Williams.” (more…)

Owned Lions CB.
Next year when the Bucs travel to Detroit, provided Mike Evans returns to the Bucs, Joe will bet that Cameron Sutton won’t be covering Evans. (more…)

Bucs GM Jason Licht.
Helluva fun season. Lots of ups and downs and drama and frustrating moments and exhilarating highs. The winning, however, came with a cost. (more…)

Mike Evans hauls in a crazy catch in front of Detroit CB Cameron Sutton. (A JoeBucsFan.com photo.)
No Victory Monday today. And none for about another nine months. Rotten fourth quarter yesterday. Sad ending. Let’s get this over with. (more…)

Joe would not have wagered on Cade Otton hauling in 13 postseason catches for 154 yards and a touchdown.
Consider that Otton only caught 19 balls and 1 TD through the final eight games of the Bucs’ regular season. (more…)

Lots to be proud of, along with a few regrets.
The 2023 Buc season ended at 6:10 p.m. Sunday, but not before Tampa Bay scared the heck out of Lions fans who expected the visitors to roll over. As we’ve seen time and again, there’s no quit from a proud team many forecast to win six or seven games this season. (more…)

Bucs QB wheelin’ and dealin.’
“The Nature Boy” seems to want the Bucs to keep Baker Mayfield. (more…)

Decision didn’t jibe with the moment.
Joe is addressing this because it stuck in the craw of a lot of Bucs fans watching the final minute of today’s gut-wrenching loss in Detroit, and Joe admits to being bewildered in the moment. (more…)

Mostly MIA today.
One reason Lions quarterback Jared Goff sliced up the Bucs’ secondary today was that he pretty much could order his fiance a glass of chardonnay before he was breathed on. (more…)
Thirteen tackles (9 solo) 1 sack and 2 tackles for loss — that was Lavonte David’s playoff afternoon today with everything on the line and his 34th birthday two days away. (more…)
Joe was in stunned disbelief. The mighty Lions’ run defense, third-best in the NFL, was little match for the Bucs’ consistently sad running game today. (more…)

Props for his No. 1 receiver.
Earlier tonight, Mike Evans said if he returns to the Bucs — and he wants to — he wants Baker Mayfield back throwing the rock. (more…)
Yeah, Mike Evans played a costly game of volleyball in the first quarter with a too-hot Baker Mayfield pass that hit him in the hands. But Evans recovered to deliver a true Hall of Fame performance.
And don’t tell Joe that wasn’t pass interference in the end zone on the late two-point converstion. Cris Collinsworth should be banned from the state of Florida. (more…)

Both returning?
Do you blame Mike Evans? (more…)

Team Glazer has an easy evaluation.
Today’s edition of the Buccaneers sure didn’t look like the clown show that showed up (didn’t show up?) against the Saints three weeks ago or the mess on display at Carolina. (more…)

Jared Goff wins off the field, and when facing a Todd Bowles defense.
Joe knows a sect of unreasonable Bucs fans think Bucs coach Todd Bowles is a terrible defensive coordinator. Well, he has way too many pelts on the wall for Joe to even entertain the idea that he sucks. (more…)

Bucs coach Todd Bowles.
Joe doesn’t know whether it was injuries or just that the defense was zapped. Either way, the defense let the Bucs down today in a winnable division round playoff game. (more…)

The defense didn’t have enough.
Damn, that was exciting. It was fun for a while, but ultimately the Bucs got kicked in teeth today in Detroit by a high-octane offense that they probably had little chance of stopping the entering the game.
Joe is sad and proud and feeling punched in the gut all at the same time. (more…)

Comment all through today’s game with fellow fans and some ridiculous haters.
Behave, please, unless you’re blasting the zebras or Lions lovers who find their way in here.
Go Bucs!
