Some major rookie action this morning as practice kicked off in pads for the first time at Training Camp 2018 — and none of it was good. (more…)

No clashing of egos.
Man, when a team is freaking loaded like the Bucs in the passing game, how can a quarterback give any receiver enough touches? (more…)

Multi-talented.
It was one of the better quotes Joe heard this past offseason. (more…)

Shining in practice.
Yesterday, Kendell Beckwith told Joe the Bucs are playing it too safe with him. Beckwith, who fractured his ankle in a car wreck this spring, had surgery on it and has yet to take a snap in training camp. (more…)

New formula for winning.
The Bucs may have the most loaded team at receiver in the NFL. (more…)

Rookie Ronald Jones after Saturday’s practice and an extra special teams session on his own time.
The summer broil was on at One Buc Palace, as Day 3 of training was held under full sun before about 1,000 fans on a military appreciation day.

About 30 minutes after practice today, DeSean Jackson wrapped up a personal teaching session with rookie fifth-round pick Justin Wastson.
Jackson is one animated teacher, and he was still coaching up as the pair headed to the locker room.
Impressive stuff.

Kendall Beckwith talks to Joe
There’s a frustrated dude wearing a baseball hat and a Bucs jersey patrolling the training camp sidelines at One Buc Palace. (more…)

There’s an interesting summer theme inside the gates of One Buc Palace.
It’s a lot better than Lovie Smith’s “California Dreamin'” slogan rolled out years ago. (more…)
A shrill voice from Los Angeles has added his name to the many who predict dire things from the Bucs this year. (more…)

Cleared but limited.
As the Bucs march onto the practice fields behind One Buc Palace this morning — just a few short minutes ago — they were joined by right tackle Demar Dotson, who missed the final five games of the last season with a knee injury. (more…)

Raves about America.
Well, on Thursday after America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, stood before the Tampa Bay pen and mic club and took his medicine for getting a three-game sentence from NFL strongman Roger Goodell to start the season, most everybody had their takes. (more…)
Is Jameis Winston a distraction? Joe assumes that for those with a severe case of ADD who have the attention span of a housefly on a caffeine buzz, he would be. (more…)
Sometimes it’s not just what you say, it’s how you say it. (more…)

The bleachers are gone. The sight lines are different and patrolling One Buc Palace outdoors at training camp practice is a very different animal.
Alas, Joe is feeling it out and sharing along the way. The Bucs were not in pads for the second consecutive day, a league rule for the start of camps. (more…)
