Take A Deep Breath On Swearinger Signing

Wednesday, May 13th, 2015

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a new safety, a guy for whom the rest of the NFL wouldn’t cough up a seventh-round pick.

Be Afraid Jameis, Be Very Afraid

Tuesday, May 12th, 2015

?????????????America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, oozes confidence and positive thinking. That’s one reason his teammates gravitate to him so.

And young Jameis is quick to point out he’s not afraid to make any throw. However, his brand new offensive coordinator, Dirk Koetter, has a totally different mindset. (more…)

Spread Offense Is Not NFL Offense

Bucs OC Dirk Koetter explains why America's Quarterback, Jameis Winston, may have an easier transition to the NFL than other drafted quarterbacks.

Bucs OC Dirk Koetter explains why America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, may have an easier transition to the NFL than other drafted quarterbacks.

Joe knows many fans go nuts when they hear or read this: The spread-option offense, so popular in college, is killing the NFL.

First, look at the roadkill of spread quarterbacks littering ditches outside NFL facilities. For every spread QB that makes it, it seems a half-dozen or more are thrown aside. (more…)

Evan Smith Not A Fan Of Rookies

Monday, May 11th, 2015

Bucs center Evan Smith sure didn’t seem happy fielding questions about America’s Quarterback, Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston.

Formerly Evan Dietrich-Smith (he just goes by “Smith” these days, saying “Dietrich” was a “pain in my [arse]”) sure doesn’t seem to like rookies. Or at least talk about rookies. (more…)

Only the haters and knuckledraggers worshipping at the altar of Woody Hayes are tired of hearing about America’s Quarterback, Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston.

The next decade or so could prove to be stressful for these folks. Like it or not, when you draft a quarterback No. 1 overall, especially someone with the football resume of young Jameis, he becomes the face of the franchise. (more…)

If Tampa Bay’s first three draft picks all click in their rookie years, this offense will be significantly better. Then again, we are discussing improving one of the worst eyerakes for an offense Joe can remember.

There was a reason the Bucs won the Chase for Jameis, and drafted a quarterback and two offensive linemen with their first three picks. (more…)
