Update.
It appears the Bucs have a starting cornerback back!
The Bucs updated their official injury report this morning. The most important one is cornerback Carlton Davis. He cleared concussion protocol and will play in the do-or-die game at Carolina tomorrow.
The news is not as good for linebacker K.J. Britt (calf). Britt has been downgraded to doubtful.
Outside linebacker Cam Gill has a bum knee and is new to the injury report. His status is questionable.
Joe loves hearing the Bucs optimists. Those great folks know Tampa Bay will take out the Panthers easily tomorrow, complete a love-worthy regular season and advance to the playoffs where the Eagles likely will greet them at The Licht House. [read more]

Green light.
Todd Bowles made it official today. Injured Bucs starting quarterback Baker Mayfield has been given the green light on his sore ribs. Mayfield will start Sunday at Carolina.
Bowles said all players will be ready for the game against the Stinking Panthers. That includes cornerback Carlton Davis.
Of course, it’s a do-or-die game for the Bucs. Win and they host a playoff game next week. Lose and they clean out their lockers.
Tie? Well, maybe they play next week.
