Todd is pleased the Lightning moved on but blasts them for a lousy performance in Game Five. The Devils were done and didn’t want to make the trip to Tampa, but the Lightning let them hang around all afternoon. Games like that get you beat in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and the Lightning got away with one against probably the 16th best team of the 16 teams that made the postseason.
A few guys showed up to play for Tampa Bay, including Mikhail Sergachev, and Todd dives into those positives and much more.
Todd Wright isn’t just the fantasy football podcast guru and golf chief around here. The longtime national and local sports radio personality has loads of knowledge about the Tampa Bay Lightning. So launching the Todd Wright Lightning Playoff Podcast was a no-brainer.
The podcast will run through the Bolts’ exciting playoff run right here. Todd has media credentials for home games and will provide plenty of fresh insight.
(Also, the JoeBoltsFan podcast with Tom Lang has been a big hit every Friday.)

Can you imagine how much different life would have been for Jason Licht as GM of the Buccaneers if he could just play DraftKings? He doesn’t have to carry a kicker on his roster!
Would that change his horrible history of wasting big money on lousy free agents and for some stupid reason actually caring about where a kid went to college in his draft philosophy? Well, no it wouldn’t.
So the Bucs results would be pretty much the same. Still, the kicker and fantasy football seem to have an endangered relationship much like the NFL and kickoffs. As a Commissioner, Todd lessened the single game impact of kickers in his league last year and plans to do the same this year. Not as many points as standard scoring leagues for long field goals and penalties for any kick missed from 39 yards and in. Todd calls it “The Matt Prater Adjustment.” Matt Prater is a terrific kicker and one hell of a weapon for the Detroit Lions. However, do the Detroit Lions win championships because of him? No.
Should your fantasy football team win a championship simply because of him? Todd says no. Todd discusses kickers in this pre-draft podcast and invites your thoughts on how kickers should be scored, if at all, in your season long leagues at ToddWrightFantasyFootball@gmail.com.
