Your Bucs were back at it today against the Tennessee Titans in shorts and “shells,” aka upper body pads, for a joint practice in Nashville, a lighter tuneup before Saturday’s preseason game. [read more]

So Tuesday, just after practice at One Buc Palace ended and before Father Dungy had his press conference about his induction into the Ring of Honor, Joe decided to see what the good folks at Buccaneers.com were up to. [read more]

So what did you really miss at Bucs-Titans practice yesterday in Nashville, the only one in which the teams will be in full pads and really hitting each other?
Joe was out there patrolling. But Joe must caution you about any report you read anywhere. Two things (minimum) always were happening at once, as the teams worked on two fields simultaneously and sometimes three.

In hoops, there is a term when a ballhandler busts past a defender as “breaking his ankles.” [read more]

Tampa Bay coaches used to call ex-Bucs tight end Luke Stocker a glue guy on the roster and the type of player who appeared destined for an NFL coaching career.
So of course, Joe tracked down Stocker yesterday in Nashville to talk about the Bucs team that cut him right after Thanksgiving. [read more]
Sadly, Titans house rules ordered no media or fan video or still shots during most portions of yesterday’s Bucs-Titans practice in Nashville. It’s a very restrictive policy compared to what fans and media are accustomed to in Tampa.
Joe was unaware of the exact blackout periods, so this intriguing video was recorded before Joe was given the lose-the-camera sign. [read more]

OC Todd Monken
Yes, offensive coordinator Todd Monken will call the plays on Saturday night in the Week 2 preseason game against the Titans like he did last week in Miami.
But just stop thinking this somehow means Monken will be the guy on opening day. [read more]

Lauds JPP.
As Joe pointed out earlier, Bucs defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul was a monster today in the first of two joint practices this week with the Titans held in Nashville. [read more]

The teammates of Jason Pierre-Paul, who has already built a reputation in Tampa as an intense practice player, got to see what he’s like in a more competitive session. [read more]

DeSean Jackson has returned a grand total of three punts in the past four seasons for a grand total of -5 yards.
