How about a Mike Smith confidence poll?

  2. D-Rome Says:

Little confidence. Same as last time. Going 5-11 with the most talented roster the Bucs have had in years inspires little confidence. He’s to hoping for a winning season.

  3. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I too, would like to see a Mike Smith poll……

  4. Lucious Selmon Says:

Little confidence until something changes in the results column.

  5. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

The problem with these polls is that you get dimwits that don’t vote according to the current status of the team, but according to the emotional turmoil of last season. In their eyes, things cannot get better because they were bad last year.

Never mind that the year before that was a winning season and all of last year’s weaknesses have been addressed.

They are the so-called fans who made up their minds about this season last year.

  6. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Oh Bonzai

Last years biggest weakness has definitely NOT been addressed…

And it’s name is Press Box Smitty….

  7. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    BTW, I voted Totally Confident.

And frankly, at this point of the season, after witnessing everything that has changed during this off season, I don’t understand how anyone who calls themselves fans of the Bucs can vote worse than Confident.

It’s not like you cannot change to another vote on the future polls. Voting Confident now does not prevent you from voting No Confidence later, if that’s what you want.

And that is the difference between a good fan and a bad fan. Good fans prefer to believe until they have reason not to believe. Bad fans just give up, and refuse to believe. Even when they have reason to believe.

I’m with TampaBayAllDay. My big concern with the team is Mike Smith forcing off coverage on corners that aren’t suited to it.

It’s like the cover-2 debacle from 3 years ago all over again.

Oh, I beg to differ. Last year’s biggest weakness was not Mike Smith, it was the lack of talent Mike Smith was provided to do his job. If you really want to know about those changes, click my name. But if you are one of the ones who have made up your mind, don’t bother.

  10. Buccfan37 Says:

Confident will get the most votes again. Like not a dead skunk in the middle of the road, just iffy. The accident waiting to happen hasn’t happened yet.

  11. D-Rome Says:

    Buccaneer Bonzai,

With all due respect you are not an arbiter of who is or who is not a good fan or a bad fan. Most of us support the team by visiting JBF, buying merchandise, going to the games, watching the games, ect… and as fans we all have varied opinions. Some fans look at the team with sunshine and lollipops with rainbows and other fans are pessimistic. It’s to be expected when the organization has largely been a loser since 2002.

The only people who are bad fans are those who break the law in the name of supporting their team (i.e. celebration riots).

I’m totally confident that after reading this, whether you’re a good fan or a bad fan, you will have a lower IQ.

  13. Gambelero Says:

The vote is about as normally distributed and neutrally-centered as you’ll ever see for a poll like this. Really, if you gave this poll out in mid-August for every team for 50 years, this one would stand out as a 1 in 1600 freak of a poll.

Joe should take a snapshot and put it on the wall.

  14. 813bucboi Says:

    yall already know my answer….

    no confidence!!!!

our OC & DC both have outdated schemes and don’t like to adjust…..the 4verts and off coverage schemes arent effective….simple as that!!!!

    #NOEXCUSESIN2018!!!….#PRESSURESONTHECOACHES!!!…GO BUCS!!!

  15. ChanEpic Says:

Little confidence because I like the roster but I have not seen anything about Koetter that would give me confidence. I will be happy to update my confidence answer in the fall but as for now, what are we confident in? Last year was a disaster and Koetter played his part in that.

  16. The Buc Realist Says:

The “real” fans really like the coaching staff!!!! Its the roster and all the new pieces that are the concern!!! Its the QB suspended for the first 3 games that is the concern!!!! Its the holes on the roster that the coaches need hide is the concern!!!!!! But this year can really set up this team!!!! It is heading in the right direction!!!!! Fixing the disaster from talk show dominik and loser lovie is slowly becoming a past problem!!!!!!!!!!!

    GO Bucs!!!!!!!

  17. TampaBayAllDay Says:

Lol y’all kill me with the real fans and fake fans bulls(p)it. We’re all looking at the same picture through different lenses and some choose to be blind to the fact that mike smith hasnt cut it (yet). Its all good though.

  18. Reality_43 Says:

All this talk about off coverage is interesting to me.
Smitty said he let’s them line up how they want to, but that doesn’t mean 20 yards is ok unless they need 30 maybe.

Take the 2 pts conversion against Jordan Whitehead last week. Because its within 5 yards you HAVE to disrupt the route with bump and run. He backed up and tried to choose and follow. Perfect throw and he choose wrong 1st.

That has to be coached up and if Smitty doesn’t he is a moron.

    I don’t think Smitty is a moron.

If you heard Koetter talk about Rojo, he said he thought he lined up too deep on some plays.

Obviously they are looking at the details.

Better players has been the issue and we have those now.
    Why not be optimistic?

This proves my point. You’ve already made up your mind strictly based off last year. You have not given credence to anything that the Bucs did this year, so you vote Little confidence.

    Cuz… history. ☹️
