Joe pays attention when Leger Douzable talks Bucs because he played defensive tackle for Todd Bowles with the Jets and he is the pride of Alonso High School in Tampa. (more…)

Offensive linemen usually fall into two categories. (more…)

Hard work beginning to show.
Yesterday after the Bucs defense had five picks total of Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask, head coach Todd Bowles said the defense was starting to “come together.” (more…)

Fumble recoveries vs. points.
Joe has remarked more than once this training camp, tinged with more than a hint of sarcasm, that if Bucs coach Todd Bowles isn’t careful, he’s going to start sounding like lousy Lovie Smith for the way Bowles is so hungry for takeaways, and paranoid about turnovers. (more…)
Joe has said this for months, but now the voice of NFL Network and a friend to many NFL big shots is saying the same thing. (more…)

Third-string.
The glorious first preseason game is Friday against Pittsburgh, which means the first official team depth chart has been issued. (more…)

Focused on himself.
Well, Joe certainly appreciates Kyle Trask’s candor here, even though it seems like a vanilla answer bordering on a dodge. (more…)

Ex-NFL suit down on Baker Mayfield.
As Joe has noted many, many times, outside Tampa, no one seems to think Baker Mayfield can resurrect his career with the Bucs, much less lead them to the playoffs. (more…)

Still a stud, stat suggests.
It’s been an up-and-down past 10 months or so for Bucs linebacker Devin White. (more…)
