Bucs RB Bobby Rainey states for the record he is not a fumbler.
Last year, the best Bucs running back was Bobby Rainey.

Former Bucs commander Greg Schiano discusses “America’s Quarterback” and Bucs veterans.
Yes, “America’s Quarterback,” Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston, is but a rookie. One helluva talented rookie, that is.
But with all rookies, there are growing pains, learning curves. It’s just a matter of time until a rookie makes an error or two or three. (more…)

Seems Bucs C Evan Smith and “America’s Quarterback” were at odds a fair amount of time in OTAs.
Joe always wondered what the hair was up Bucs center Evan Smith’s tailpipe about “America’s Quarterback,” Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston.
For the longest time, the marginal center acted in public as if Jameis had farted in his dinner plate. (more…)

ASJ needs to knock off the Michael Clayton impersonation.
It is beginning to worry Joe. Through seven training camp practices, tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins has been unable to come up with easy catches.
It began last Saturday night in the first practice, when “America’s Quarterback,” Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston, hit ASJ right in the hands for a short pass and it was if the ball hit a rock. Incomplete. (more…)

Joe’s written quite a bit over the past two practices about rookie Division-III right guard Ali Marpet. The Buccaneers’ second-round pick has looked capable — sometimes more than capable — running with the first team in full pads.
On WDAE-AM 620 this afternoon, Bucs general manager Jason Licht skyrocketed hopes even more when it comes to Marpet. (more…)

It’s another soggy, soaked day at One Buc Palace with more rain on the way. The Buccaneers’ sixth day of training camp practice, scheduled for 2:30 p.m., has been rescheduled for 5 p.m.
Of course, that still could change.

Bucs rookie left tackle Donovan Smith
The Bucs have a very hungry corps of defensive ends, “yungry,” as Raheem Morris liked to say.
Larry English has the most career sacks at that position (12), and he’s the elder statesman and best known for being the Chargers’ first-round bust in 2009. (more…)
