BY IRA KAUFMAN
My only road trip of the season ended in heartache for the visitors and relief for the surging Falcons.
Tampa Bay made it interesting for awhile in the second half, but the Bucs failed to make the plays necessary to extend their winning streak to three games. One look at the face of dejected GM Jason Licht in the locker room and you knew there are no moral victories in the NFL. [read more]

Defenses getting worked over regularly.
This is enough to make you throw your beer at the backyard fence. [read more]
It’s been seven darn years since the Bucs started 10 rookies through the 2010 season and managed 10 wins, which should have been 11 wins if officials didn’t botch an offensive pass interference call on Kellen “Vaseline” Winslow. [read more]

Pregame and through the game, America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, was hard at work.
You may dislike America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, and believe he’s bad news because of the lastest crotch-grabbing accusation against him.

Odd choice in personnel.
It was 27-6 early in the third quarter. The game appeared grim at the time. How could anyone expect a Ryan Fitzpatrick-led team to overcome that margin the way the Bucs play ole’ defense on the road? [read more]

Down on playcalling
Damn, was this frustrating.
There the Bucs were, 2-and-2 with 7:51 remaining, driving well and trailing 27-20 on the Atlanta 19 yard line — and they came up empty. [read more]

Dirk Koetter and Ryan Fitzpatrick couldn’t find touchdowns
At least the Buccaneers battled hard. Very hard.
Hey, Joe is fishing for positives here at the Georgia Dome, as Tampa Bay appeared to clinch the NFC South cellar for the sixth time in seven years.
But the cold reality is the Bucs paid dearly for no first-half pass rush and no touchdown daggers in the playbook. [read more]

Joe is in the dome
