Raheem’s 10-6 Is Safe

November 26th, 2017

It’s been seven darn years since the Bucs started 10 rookies through the 2010 season and managed 10 wins, which should have been 11 wins if officials didn’t botch an offensive pass interference call on Kellen “Vaseline” Winslow.

Who knew those were the “good ol’ days,” with Josh Freeman shocking the NFL with brilliant play, complemented by a punishing running game (LeGarrette Blount is still dominating) and an opportunistic defense.

Hell, the Bucs even won games without an edge rush? Stylez White was the go-to guy off the Bucs’ right edge, and he played so well that season marked the end of his NFL career.

Hats off again to the ol’ ball coach, Raheem Morris, who now is the assistant head coach/passing game coordinator with the mighty Falcons.

Raheem, now 41 years old, landed on his feet. The Bucs haven’t duplicated the magic of that season. With a 4-7 record, Raheem’s accomplishment can be lauded for another year.

Without a miracle finish to this season, your Bucs have locked up the NFC South basement for six out of the last seven seasons.

Unbelievable.

Second greatest coach in BUCS history, (sadly). And no, Gruden isn’t the greatest.

  2. Eric Says:

    Raheem does look good now.

Why did we have to put the fate of the franchise in two failed Atlanta cast offs?

  3. tmaxcon Says:

Its crazy to think raheem will have the last 10 win season in franchise history… good for him …. glazer cliwns set him up to fail and rah gets the last laugh… what a pathetic organisation ran by incompetent clowns…

  4. Buddy Says:

Joe~ you continually referred to DK as a “winning” coach. He’s a joke. Don’t ever even try to refer to anyone better then Rah until they beat his 10 win season. Quit trying so hard Joe to make somebody something they aren’t.

  5. tmaxcon Says:

    Crazed fan

Gruden like it or not is the only coach to get the job done in tampa. Which makes him the undisputed best head coach in team history. Followed by mckay then raheem that POS dungy the one dimensional hypocrite with aa career losing record that failed miserably in tampa barley makes top 5… gruden gets extra credit for having to clean up dungys mess… whyce built dungys defense and dungy choked

  6. Rrsrq Says:

Bring back Rah, with this talent he would win ten games.
Tmax, really don’t like Dungy, who brought this team to relevancy, even Wyche never coached again, why no teams were knocking down his door and Dungy was hired as fast as he was fired.

  7. Crazed Fan Says:

Didn’t we kick Lovie in the balls for bringing in his entire neighborhood to work the BUCS? But no one sees the bridge that was built from Atlanta to Tampa. I guess a falcon is a pirate’s best friend.

  8. tmaxcon Says:

    Rsrq

Thats irrelevant…. bootom line the one dimensional fool faiked in Tampa and only got a ring becasude of mannings offense… he wasted 6 yearsof 55 and 99 careers

  9. Eric Says:

Dungy built one of the greatest defenses in NFL history while in Tampa.

When he took over the bucs they had not had a winning season in 15 years.

Ask anyone on that defense how important Dungy was vs. total ignorant fans who never played a down in their lives.

  10. Eric Says:

My problem with Dirk is he has been in charge of the bucs offense for three seasons and cant seem to get it going with any consistency. The big selling point bringing him in was he knew our offense.

Does not seem to be working. Somehow we brought in Djax, drafted Howard, and got worse.

  11. ben Says:

    Bring Gruden back!!

  12. bigblock690 Says:

@tmaxcon Put down the Pabst Blue Ribbon 55 and 99 had their best years under Dungy go check for yourself after you sober up Pro Bowls /Def Player of Year/Tackles/Sacks/All Pro/ under Dungy check the stats after he left..

  13. tmaxcon Says:

dungy failed… PERIOD… 2 playoff wins in 6 years wasted sapp and brooks. you can’t rewrite history because you like the POS FOOL…

Whyce built dungy’s defense and the stubborn ignorant fool could not even put a pop warner level offense on the field… dungy did far more harm to bucs organization than good. The ignorant one should have been fired 2 years earlier when it was evident that he was a choke artist that was one dimensional and could not win in the playoffs. the hall of fame has lost all credibility with that bum enshrined when you have real coaches like tom flores and jimmy johnson not in… flores was first minority to win a superbowl and has 2 rings and a career winning playoff record unlike the popular clown dungy.

oh and sapp and other prominent defenders have said the same thing that dungy cost them a super bowl.

bucs have been irrelevant 37 out of 41 years you guys give way to much credit to that ignorant one dimensional fool. next to mccoy that bum is the second most overrated sports personality in tampa.

  14. 813bucboi Says:

People like to say that season was a fluke….I say Dirk’s 9-7 was a fluke…. Look at this mess…. harbaugh line one please!!!…GO BUCS!!!

  15. Eric Says:

Obviously the Raheem, Schiano, Lovie, Koetter show has been miles better than Tony Dungy.

    Wyche built the bucs defense?????????????????

He invented the Tampa Two? I, along with the rest of civilization, missed that one.

  16. tmaxcon Says:

    dungy never invented zone coverage

the legend of dungy the clown far surpasses he actually accomplishments.

nickerson, brooks, lynch and sapp all the from whyce… dungy failed… he is just another hypocrite dirtbag…

BTW, How did that Father First BS turn out for him

  17. JimmyJack Says:

Absolutely ridiculous that this team is so bad there is a legitimate reason to be reading an article of Raheem Morris.

What a pathetic disgrace this regime has done at building an NFL team. This team makes me sick.

  18. Mike Johnson Says:

Somewheres in ATL, theres an assistant coach with a sh..eatin grin on his face, smokin a stoggie, sayin, Y’all need help? His name? Raheem Morris!!

  19. tmaxcon Says:

    JimmyJack

it starts at the top sir… glazers have had years of failures since daddy got sick… this is bigger than gm’s and coaching regimes. It goes deep to the core of the organization and their unwillingness to do whatever it takes to win…

Tom Brady who I hate yet admire will have more super bowl rings than the bucs have career playoff wins. how pathetic is that.

  20. tmaxcon Says:

    Mike Johnson

Raheems Receiver group led by Julio and Sanu punked Captain McCoy and the Ice Cream Patrol

just think about this for second…. raheem coaches jones and sanu now that is more talent in just those two players than the glazers clowns and dominick gave raheem for his entire tenure in tampa. i bet julio and sanu have a combined salary higher than the one raheem had to work with for his entire roster.

  21. JimmyJack Says:

You’re just a bottom tier fan if your going to disrespect Dungy in 2017.

Sure the guy had lots of things to criticize but if he doesn’t get this franchise churning out winning records every year and being considered a contending team then no free agents would have ever come to Tampa in those year and the talented players we had drafted would not have resigned here to go to winning team.

Criticizing is all fine and dandy but to show that level of disrespect means you are purely a worthless fans that understands nothing about how the NFL actually works……….time to go back under your rock dude, we’ll wake you up when this team gets relevant again……..Moron

    ——————-
I give Dungy credit, but don’t forget that Dungy did not draft Lynch, Brooks, or Sapp. Nickerson was a 1993 free agent addition, Dungy came along in 1996.

  23. JimmyJack Says:

Yeah it does start a the top but you gotta know the Glazers are letting Licht make the decisions……..They didn’t tell him to bring in Dzx, for example, it was the other way around……..Glazers don’t know how to hire that’s their fault. But the way this team has been built is all Lichts doing….Not Glazers.

  24. tmaxcon Says:

    JimmyJack

it’s not just licht though. licht had a solid reputation. I have lost faith in him as well as the entire staff but it goes deeper everyone that comes here fails regardless of past success… not just coaches and front offices. look at all the promising free agents with pro bowls and rings who come here. within weeks they are soft and accept losing. the core issue is with the glazers. they set the tone, the tone is they simply do not care about winning or are incapable of understanding what it takes to win.

  25. JimmyJack Says:

Yeah I agree it’s not just Licht…….The most glaring thing to me that shows these guys don’t know what they are doing is the DJax signing. We wasted all our free agent money on the one area of the game we actually excelled in and now the passing game is actually worse off…….That is a pure disgrace.

Something tells me(seems Obvisous) That Licht didn’t make that call on his own and a few head were put together to decide to blow their wad on a WR. If I were the Glazers I would fire anybody who put their word on that signing.

  26. mark2001 Says:

JimmyJack…bottom tier fan. Let’s be honest. TD was a great D coach, and he took the material drafted by guys when Wyche was coach into a formidable Defense… one that should have won at least two SB rings, with a decent offense. But during his tenure, we couldn’t build an offense worth a squat…we could never get over Philly, losing big time just prior to Tony’s firing. TD went to Indy that had a great Offense, build a decent D and was a SB winning coach. But he had his faults as a HC in building a complete team. Don’t you remember how many times he would say “we just need to play better”?

Gruden did win with TD’s D…but he rebuilt the Offense, just as he built a SB team in Oakland. So you can’t take anything away from him either.

I have the greatest thankful respect for both coaches. But neither one was perfect. But both are far better than any coach we had before or since.

  27. tmaxcon Says:

living in the past is for losers who are scared of the future simple as that. no to gruden. no brooks. remember and respect the has beens but always move forward.

  28. JimmyJack Says:

Yeah well Mark your being fair…….I agree with all your complaints about Dungy. When he was fired I was on the side of fans that was glad about it.

But the guy did get the team turned into a winner which, to me, means he deserves credit and for sure some respect…….To be ranting her in 2017 calling Dungy names just tells me that you(not you personally) are a ver very sore loser.

Not every coach that comes along(Andy Reid…..bill cower for years) is going to be Super Bowl material. That doesn’t mean they were a bad coach just means your a sore loser to misrepresent Dungy.

  29. JimmyJack Says:

Plus we didn’t get the Big Tuna so be careful what you wish for…….would you rather get a scrub coach in here in 96 to run the team into the dirt so then Sapp signs with Dallas and Barber goes to NY with his brother meanwhile Rice and Johnson never even consider coming to Tampa nor the the Glazers consider paying for them.

Don’t be deranged in thinking Dungy did nothing cause Dirk is here right now to show you what it’s like.

  30. Howard Cosell Says:

I doubt the Soccer Brats even watch Bucs games unless they have to.
It’s not like Arthur Blank or the Rooneys or Bob Kraft who absolutely love the game and their respective teams. The Soccer Brats look at the Bucs simply as vehicle to make money. Nothing more.
Teams take on the personalities of their owners, hence we have a bunch of disinterested paycheck cashers. It will never change. Best thing to do is to stop watching the Bucs and do something else. The Soccer Brats will never sell because the team is worth too much.
Hell, even asshole Jerry Jones loves his team and loves football.
The Soccefr Brats love soccer and money and could literally care less about the game of NFL Football.
Sorry to disappoint you, but Team Glazer is at every game, home and away, and is completely engaged. –Joe

  31. Howard Cosell Says:

I tried to tell people this 10 years ago.

  32. Eric Says:

I understand that some of the components of the great bucs defenses were in place when Dungy took over from a personnel standpoint.

But the bucs defense was a laughingstock when Dungy took it over, opponents racking up about 40 pts a game near the end of Sam’s tenure.

Dungy changed all that and got them to play some of the best defense in the history of the game.

Surely he gets credit for that. Especially from bucs fans for crying out loud.

  33. Eric Says:

I will never understand how so many bucs fans have such contempt for Jon and Tony, the only two guys that ever accomplished didley squat with this team. (except for just a couple of seasons under McKay)

Some kind of collective mental disorder if you ask me.

  34. Howard Cosell Says:

People ragging on Gruden and Dungy are just trolls or media types looking to drive a conversation. It’s not a real person.

  35. Eric Says:

I wish that were true Mr. Cosell, but I run across a lot of live ones I know aren’t smart enough to write for a living.

BTW, good thing you did not make that “monkey” remark in today’s climate.

  36. Wesley Says:

    Re-hire him, he’s ready now.

  37. not there yet Says:

Wow really your reminiscing about Raheem Morris days? This coaching staff is done, for the first time in the Glazer’s history the offensive and defensive coaches should be fired in season. Any coach would take this job and do better

  38. Howard Cosell Says:

You mean Dan Sileo’s monkey comment?
I’m not Dan Sileo…..I can prove that.
However Dan was a pretty awesome DJ.

  39. Howard Cosell Says:

OK sorry…just Googled Howard Cosell monkey comment and apparently Howard also made a monkey comment

  40. Howard Cosell Says:

    @ not there yet
” Any coach would take this job and do better”

    Any coach could do better?
You mean like Schiano and Lovie and Raheem did better?
I think a trues comment would be that any coach could (and would) do just as poorly given the shi*ty culture established by the Glazers

  41. Howard Cosell Says:

It’s been pretty much established that any coach the Glazers brats hire will suck.

  42. Fire Goodell Says:

Before Gruden got fired, Raheem interviewed to be the Broncos head coach. The Glazers moved quickly to promote Raheem because he would have been another Mike Tomlin in Denver.
