Cheerleader, Counselor Jameis

November 26th, 2017

Pregame and through the game, America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, was hard at work.

You may dislike America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, and believe he’s bad news because of the lastest crotch-grabbing accusation against him.

But that hasn’t stopped injured Jameis from operating as a leader of the Bucs.

During today’s pregame warm-ups, Jameis was putting a lot of energy into pumping up his teammates 1-on-1 and as a group. It was impressive. Jameis wasn’t putting his all into it.

And it didn’t stop during the game.

When cornerback Ryan Smith got burned badly in the first half by Julio Jones, there was Jameis, as seen in the photo above, counseling the young man with passion.

Jameis moved around to various players through the game and was studying game film with his Surface and taking notes on old fashioned paper.

Yeah, some might call this meaningless, rah-rah-type leadership fluff, but Joe was impressive. Jameis remains an impressive football player — when he’s not finding a way into off-the-field hot water.

Joe asked Ryan Smith after the game about what Jameis said to him during the chat seen above.

“He’s just a leader. Bad play. Good play. He’s going to be that leader for you,” Smith said. “That’s really who he is and he’s not afraid to talk to you. Plays happen, but he’s going to be there regardless.”

the hole appears to be two years wide with a possible Winston six gamer, and that’s if the the team decides to stick by their “franchise” guy.

Jaboo multi tasked by massaging injured groins.

There isn’t a player in the NFL that wants to be on the field more than Jameis Winston….I am convinced of that.

Let’s hope he’s back next week and avoids the NFL suspension.

I will say this….Fitz has done a nice job in relief….that game was lost by the defense today….but with the turnover and some decent playcalling, we had a shot….
I remain extremely disappointed in Koetter….I am starting to believe that he cannot HC and OC at the same time….

  6. Jman Says:

HES asking them if the late night taco joints are as good as those in Arizona. Return of the tunes out court jester.

  7. Bucnut2 Says:

    lightening- that’s FUNNY!!!

  8. Bucnut2 Says:

I think we’ve already figured out that Winston’s hype fest is growing old and nobody is responding. You are not leading if nobody’s following. Winston should turn around, I’m pretty sure no one is following his leadership.

  9. Tom Edrington Says:

Fitz looks more efficient than Jameis…..throws a nice ball and is accurate…..leading by his play, not by all his BS and rah-rah crap….

  10. ben Says:

I would prefer less of a leader and more of an accurate passer…

  11. Crazed Fan Says:

    Make Jamies the GM!!!

  12. Nole4JabooANDdBucs Says:

Ok…so Fitz is 35 years old and played for 7 different teams averaging 1 year each…so you would think he should be able to hit the side of a barn!
The below list says it all…he is a qualified back up QB…

St. Louis Rams (2005–2006)Cincinnati Bengals (2007–2008)Buffalo Bills (2009–2012)Tennessee Titans (2013)Houston Texans (2014)New York Jets (2015–2016)Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2017–present)

JW could play better if he wasn’t being forced to be a pocket passer. JW is a competitor who has been constrained for some reason! He is a scrambler!

  13. Lamarcus Says:

    #freejameis

THE FRANCHISE SHOULD BE ON THE FIELD NEXT GAME IMMEDIATELY

Idc what yll haters are saying. Yall mad Fitz shut yall down. Fitz is servi cable. What he getting paid 7 million to do.

    Jw needs to play asap.

  14. Lamarcus Says:

    Nole4

    Bingo
I always thot koetter is making him to be Ryan/gabbert/Garrard. Jw is not a Passer that way. Go back watch him in fsu pro system and man oh man Koetter got some explaining to do.

This is where Koetter got gabbert wrong

Koetter track record with young qbs are sinking

  16. Eric Says:

I cant believe there are not some offensive minds out there that could make this offense go.

One of them lives in town.

  17. Roy T. Buford Says:

Lemmings also follow the leader–over a cliff.

Not to worry…Winston is not leading anything. Leaders don’t get personal foul calls between plays because they are bad sports. Leaders don’t make themselves and their team sleep walk into 4 blowouts. Leaders don’t put themselves into situations where their character is again questioned (third passenger syndrome). Leaders don’t put their team into a position to both next season over suspensions.

I’d not call Jameis “America’s QB” anymore. In fact, if he is caught in a lie or did what is alleged, I’d call him “America’s Most Wanted.”

  18. BrianBucs Says:

I guess it’s hard to grab crotches when all the guys are wearing cups

  19. Crazed Fan Says:

    Hahaha…corny

  20. JimmyJack Says:

Hope Jamies plays next week……The franchise really needs him to so the fans can really have any interest in watching the game next week…….What other reason could their to possibly be to watch us in Green Bay next week? What just to see Lambau?

I literally can’t think of any reason to care much at all for that one.

  21. Mike Johnson Says:

@0 points is surely enough to win a game IF..you have a Defense. Fitz played OK. We just could not..as we knew all along..stop anybody. On to the next…LOSS!!!

  22. MadMax Says:

Was he eating his fingers again? yeah, cheesy, i know….so is most of his antics though.

  23. I'm tired and 87 is right Says:

Leave it to our Bucs fans, just bashing our players and team. Typical. Some of the comments you all make on here shows me the ignorance you have. Support your team or go elsewhere. Go Bucs and go Jameis!

  24. Simeon97 Says:

Dump winston, we don’t need cheerleaders, we need a mature team leader. Thinking about him makes me angry, and it’s not just because he can’t throw footballs accurately.

  25. mark2001 Says:

Please Joe…I don’t get the America’s QB gloss. He is one of about a half dozen good QB’s, and the jury is out regarding which will be the best of the lot. I like to think about him as Tampa Bay’s QB….no more, no less. I just hope he gets past this Uber business, or he might end up joining Kaepernick and Manziel on the “do not call” list and nobody’s QB.

  26. Eric Says:

Please put Winston in so we can get a better draft pick and grab a REAL NFL caliber quarterback. This guy’s song and dance are old as the “Twist”. He is garbage at best, and that is his on the field qualities. He is of very poor character and he flat out sucks as a leader. Look at the results of his over hyped leadership. Only people still believing in this bum are the Florida state Semen Holes losers who post on this site. Stop living in the past saying he was so good at FSU, Manziel also looked phenomenal at Texas A&M. The one thing these clowns have in common is Mike Evans making them look better than what they really are. That being said, Manziel looked more dominant with Evans than Miss-A-Ton never has…..

  27. mark2001 Says:

Actually Mike, Fitz has surprised me. He seems like a guy that looks at the offensive weapons we have and is having fun, relatively speaking. How many career backup guys get a chance to have a group of receivers like we have? He isn’t turning the ball over, and most of his throws are accurate. They even said on the TV how we have a rare situation with two good QB’s, referring to the fact that most teams have a starter and a poor backup, while Fitz is currently playing like a starter.

  28. loggedontosay Says:

    Joe,

You do not need to apologize to your reader for your opinions. Take Anomaly for an instant. He says Jameis wants to eat a W. Why would anybody but an idiot put so much energy into making it a crime to eat a W?

I have never been convinced that Dirk Koetter was the best offensive coordinator. So my confidence in him as a head coach has never been high. Dirk Koetter’s offensive strategy is outdated. He also needs to learn that there is more to coaching then getting the right play called. Clock management…Very important.

Actually, Mike, Fitz has surprised me.

First I fixed your punctuation. Fitz is accuracy is terrible. It was 50% today and the receivers did not drop any balls. At least be truthful.

  30. loggedontosay Says:

    Joe,

My comments are awaiting moderation? You cannot keep pandering to your racists’ clientele and putting down women. Someone might complain to the Buccaneers and the NFL which would bring your press pass into question.
First, Joe isn’t pandering to anyone and doesn’t know what you’re talking about. Second, Joe has zero concern about a “press pass.” This site was founded and thrived without one, and it would again if it ever came to that. Joe always monitors comments but it’s not always as fast as everyone would like, or things aren’t always caught by various filters. –Joe

  31. Crazed Fan Says:

Whoa, Eric. Strong words from a couch potato who will probably spend his Christmas at an IHOP.

  32. Nole4JabooANDdBucs Says:

Coaches can mess up young players especially QBs they are suppose to be coaching up. I watch Fitz he can take off and run JW was stopped from going across the goal line his rookie year and no shot gun and no scrambling. As for being a homer yes I am and I know if he leaves the Bucs he will be unleashed to make plays, not throw and be contained in the pocket!

And as for his character I can tell just by reading your prejudged post his character outshines yours!

And looking around the league all QBs struggle depending on the circumstances. What is going on with Dak he was shining while Zeke was running the ball. Fitz with his lonnnnng list of team experience SHOULD be playing better with all the talent and dink and dunk playing
    around him.

JW put us in a position to win with minimal talent and less experience last year. HOWEVER, Koetter does not ask Fitz to fire the ball down field BECAUSE HE DOESN’T TRUST HIM!

Listen to DK’s commits after the games with FITZ he doesn’t sell being excited…he knows the caliber of player Fitz is! But of course you JW HATERS don’t care and can’t see the forrest for the Jameis hating trees😣

  33. IsrBuc Says:

    who gives shi*
I much rather have a cool and collective QB like Fitz than that rah-rah-can’t-back-it-up-maybe-we-score-on-the-second-half JW leadership

  34. JF Says:

JW is good at leading his buddies to say they were in the car with him or the bedroom with him.

  35. Crazed Fan Says:

Hate to sound like a “Jamies Jerker”, but Fitzpatrick does the same thing. Suck for three quarters, then suddenly get the EYE of the TIGER.

  36. MTM Says:

Winston needs to save the rah, rah non sense. This isn’t middle school football. Jameis would make a better leader if he would just shut up and play like a 1st round pick not a walk on. Jameis’s over the top antics are wearing thin with his team. Count on it!

  37. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

You can tell the panty wearers from the boxer wearers up here. They absolutely refuse to see what Fameis brings to this team , the will and want to win, passion for his team and teammates and a genuinely great attitude. All he has to do is to be more accurate more consistently. Maybe find a better way at rallying up the troops. The haters up here are ridiculous. If Ben Rapistberger was on this team not one of you would ever bring up his court case and it’s not because he’s a consistent winner either. Each and every year he gets a little better but it ain’t enough for the losers in Tampa Bay. You people don’t even deserve a professional franchise. Just stick with hockey, tennis, golf Jai Lai, soccer badminton erc etc. I hope he stops doing good things in your area and goes to another team and tears it up. You people deserve the curse of Doug Williams. Wonder how many of you sent him death threats when he first became our qb. It’s a shame so few fans are in Fameis’ corner.

  38. Getaclue Says:

I think a lot of us know what Jameis brings but we don’t know what’s going to happen since he was out getting hairy tacos

  39. Bucko40 Says:

Still sniffing Winston’s jock strap I see Joe. Might want to distance yourself from America’s Joke Crotch grabbing Sexual Assaulting Rapist QB. He’s already working on getting his 2nd coach fired and 1st GM. The fact that the Bucs are more of a laughingstock now than they were before drafting Winston speaks volumes
This was a malicious insult, but a funny one, so Joe will allow it. Joe is calling it straight, writing about what the franchise QB is doing during the game. Would you prefer Joe not share?. Joe isn’t jock sniffing and Joe doesn’t engage in “distancing himself.” Let’s see where the Bucs stand at the end of the season before we start throwing around laughingstock. –Joe
