Raw Emotions, Disappointments, Deep Questions & More; It’s Your JoeBoltsFan Podcast With Tom Lang

May 25th, 2018

And the season, she is over. Oh what could have been, right?

That’s the hard part about the way it ended. If our Bolts aired it out – like Game 7 – and came up short, that’s one thing. But looking back on the whole of the Eastern Conference Finals, can you really say the Lightning left it all out on the ice? A frustrating edition of the JoeBoltsFan Podcast, talking the sins of Games 1 & 2, getting by with just enough, and do coach and/or captain need a second look? Bolts fans, we stick together, but let’s keep it real too.

Many thousands have enjoyed the JoeBoltsFan podcast with Tom Lang, lifelong Lightning fan, Clearwater native and popular personality at ESPN Tallahassee. And this is the second-to-last episode of the 2017-2018 season.

Bucs fans know Lang from The ScuttleBucs podcast, but do not fear, Lang knows his beloved Bolts inside and out.

Accurate

May 25th, 2018

Busting myths.

There is a sect of Bucs fans that for reasons not entirely clear stomps their feet on the floor so hard they spill their Bud Lights into the crevices of their La-Z-Boys while hollering how inaccurate Jameis Winston is.

It happens whenever America’s Quarterback fails to connect on a pass.

The PFF tribe disagrees.

Lightning Does Not Strike For 159 Straight Minutes;. Collapsitals Miss Flight To Tampa For Game Seven

May 24th, 2018
159 minutes is a long time to do anything. Or in this case it is a long time to not do something. Like…oh…I don’t know…maybe…score a goal?
.
In this final edition of the Todd Wright Lightning Playoff Podcast, Todd takes you through those final 159 minutes of the Eastern Conference Finals where the Capitals (Not the Collapsitals) outscored Tampa Bay, 9-0. Sure, the Lightning had the better goaltender, but they clearly did not have the best player on the ice and perhaps they had a group of defensemen who simply were not built to beat a team like Washington over seven games. Todd also looks at the future for this Lightning roster and one big name in particular, while also reminding Lightning fans and those making lame excuses that a guy named Marchessault is still playing and actually scoring goals as the Stanley Cup Final begins on Monday.

Todd Wright isn’t just the fantasy football podcast guru and golf chief around here. The longtime national and local sports radio personality has loads of knowledge about the Tampa Bay Lightning. So launching the Todd Wright Lightning Playoff Podcast was a no-brainer. We sure hope you enjoyed it.
