Hot seat chatter.
So let it be written; so let it be done. (more…)

Yes, the Bucs have a 4-5 record. Yes, the Bucs have problems. (more…)

Bucs LT Tristan Wirfs.
Joe hears all the hollering and braying and stomping of feet (as usual) about how the Bucs have a worse offensive line than Northside Christian. (more…)
Consider Joe baffled that the Bucs can’t figure out how to have a slightly below average rushing attack with an elite superstar monster of an athlete at left tackle who weighs 360 pounds.
That’s right — 360! (more…)

Out.
Good news on the Bucs injury front. Only fan-punching-bag safety Ryan Neal has been ruled out of Sunday’s game at San Franciso.
Carlton Davis (toe) is set to return, and Mike Evans (quad), Luke Goedeke (foot) and Devin White (foot) will play through their minor issues. Starting left guard (former starting guard?) Matt Feiler is back from his knee injury.
Hey Bucs, it’s Week 11. You’re a relatively healthy team with quality talent and a ton on the line. No reason to come out flat, or to look like a punching bag.

A lot of people think the Bucs have zero shot Sunday against the 49ers in the other Bay area.
But what disturbes Joe is that so many think Tampa Bay cannot compete. (more…)

This saddens Joe. (more…)

Bucs edge rusher Markees Watts. (Photo courtesy Buccaneers.com.)
Look, Joe would love nothing more than for rookie edge rusher Markees Watts to totally blow up and become the second coming of Simeon Rice. (more…)

Defensive line coach Kacy Rodgers.
Last year the Bucs went out to NoCal to play the 49ers and got their arses kicked. Physically beat up. (more…)

Sick stat.
Joe will start this morning off with a cool story about how a coach, against his conscience, decided to mold an offense around his talent. (more…)

Defies probabilities.
So the NextGen Stats elves are playing with their completion probability numbers. And they seem to like Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield. (more…)
All-World Bucs left/right tackle Tristan Wirfs draws a hard line at four feet. (more…)

Can the Bucs offense handle the truth?
Playcaller Dave Canales went there today and explained that his unit must be prepared for an ultimate wakeup call — good or bad. (more…)

Bucs playcaller Dave Canales.
Those who study Bucs offensive coordinator Dave Canales have heard him many, many times address how things were done during his years with the Seahawks. (more…)

Swing and miss.
You know how sad and depressed Joe is about the Bucs’ garbage running backs? Joe is ready to uncork a bottle of Big Storm Distillery’s Coyote Ugly bourbon to celebrate a failed acquisition. (more…)

“Look, Glazer, I call the football shots around this place. I don’t care if you think Baker is a mensch.”
So many fans and media are focused on next season and roster building — with the Bucs at midseason and in a Super Bowl hunt.
It drives Joe a little wacky. (more…)

Smooth transition.
The more Joe thinks about it, and the more Joe sees Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield play decent football, the more Joe thinks Mayfield is not a one-and-done guy in Tampa Bay. (more…)
