Joe isn’t sure who was listening to the Buccaneers Radio Network after the game but America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, made it perfectly clear to listeners: He is hot as a firecracker in July that the Bucs got curb-stomped today by the Stinking Panthers and wants the 2016 to start tomorrow. (more…)
Team Glazer opened its checkbook for big-name players and a big-name head coach. And right now, all they have to show for it is a hot mess of a ball club and grumbling fans, despite the fantastic glow of a franchise quarterback with a legitimate offense around him.
That may sound harsh, but that’s the cold reality when your team gets humiliated during the final four weeks of a season, as the Bucs were. (more…)
The horror began in Week 1. Over four months later and into a new year, the horror show continues. (more…)
Joe has officially turned the page on Austin Seferian-Jenkins, the high-talent, high-skills, high-maintenance tight end of the Bucs. (more…)
Cam Newton slithered away from what would have been George Johnson’s first sack of the season. The Bucs were clobbered in all phases. (Photo courtesy of Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
Lovie Smith called this game a “measuring stick” during a pregame interview.
Using that logic, the Bucs don’t measure up, and they limp into the offseason as a flaccid bunch, losers of four straight and in desperate need of Viagra in the form of defensive backs, pass rushers and receivers — and much improved coaching. (more…)
Will the Bucs lose four straight to end the season? Or will Tampa Bay rise up against the NFC’s best team and inject mass quantities of hope into the Bucs’ faithful?

Go Bucs!
We all know the lone logical reason to have Lovie Smith return for the 2016 season is his handling of America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, and his brilliant transition to the NFL. (more…)
For most of this season, the standout Bucs’ offensive line has featured two guys off the street and two rookies drafted in the second round. (more…)
A great success story of this season is second-year man Charles Sims delivering absolute brilliance as a complementary running back to Doug Martin. (more…)
We all know what Joe thinks of obscure stats and the Pro Football Focus crowd (this just in: many NFL suits and coaches, including Bill Belicheat, think much less of them). (more…)
In Indianapolis today, it’s all about No. 5, just like it was for your Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2009 to early 2013. (more…)
Bucs fans are unnerved.
America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, led the Bucs to a 6-6 record and in the thick of a playoff chase, the Bucs’ pass defense completely crumbled and Tampa Bay has lost three straight games to garbage teams. (more…)
Bucs general manager Jason Licht hit the extraordinarily difficult grand slam in the 2015 NFL Draft. Another draft like that and Joe will demand Licht pick the cheerleaders and the in-stadium beer, too.
But Licht does not work alone, and his right hand man could be moving on. (more…)
Joe is on record stating the smart move would be to shut down America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, tomorrow and start Mike Glennon for a variety of reasons. (more…)
Even if the Bucs pull off a miracle tomorrow and beat the Stinking Panthers to end the 2015 season, with the Stinking Panthers needing a win to secure home field advantage through the playoffs, Joe still believes Bucs fans won’t ease off the gas pedal with their frustrations over Lovie Smith. (more…)
You asked for it, you got it. It’s the TV map for tomorrow’s game between the Bucs and the Stinking Panthers, a 4:25 p.m. kickoff from Charlotte. (more…)
Only about one-third of Bucs fans surveyed claim to be confident in Lovie Smith.
But what kind of grade would they give Lovie for the 2015 season to date? (more…)
As Joe wrote Monday, Austin Seferian-Jenkins is the Bucs’ third-string/third-choice tight end now. That’s what the snap counts say.
So Joe asked offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter about this phenomenon earlier this week. (more…)
Cam Newton lit up the NFL during his rookie season, notably as a dual threat, throwing for 4,000+ yards and running for another 706 yards with 14 rushing touchdowns. (more…)
