Aguayowide

Victory!

Joe will take it. Bucs fans everywhere will take it.

There are no ugly wins.

Your Bucs found a way — 2-3 at the bye, which absolutely was mandatory. Joe’s liver needed this.

Our kicker needed a game winning field goal.

  5. Warren Says:

Two division wins! We’re still crap but it keeps us in this season

  6. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I didn’t think we’d win this. So happy to be wrong! How long did we go without beating the Panthers???? This had to have broken a streak!

  7. DB55 Says:

Choir boy. Proof he don’t need to be on the field. #1tackle1game

  8. D-Rome Says:

Great win by the Bucs but make no mistake, Dirk Koetter is worse than Lovie Smith. I’ve never seen a coach failed so frequently in one game. So many bad calls. He’s a coward.

  9. LargoBuc Says:

Screw the beauty contest. We won!

  10. FR Says:

Do we win this game if Cam had played?

  11. Jolly Bucs Fan Says:

For all those hating on Jameis, he is the one who overcame Koetters Spit play calling on the final drives

  12. Bucs3 Says:

He might be 4 of 8, or whatever it is… But he’s never missed a game winner!

  13. Gigglypuff Says:

So happy for that young man. Great job Berto!!!

  14. Miko says! Says:

Worst football game in the history of man kind.

  15. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Wow….we are 2-3 at the Bye…..2-0 in the division……our defense played well with a bunch of scrubs……we win the turnover battle…

    Carolina 1-4

  16. JMN Says:

Hooray!!! And with the bye we got 2 weeks to enjoy this one Bucs fans!

Kudos to Joe on the picture, the Aguayo Spread Eagle victory pose lol

    Ugly wins be wins

  19. Gigglypuff Says:

    @FR no way in hell

  20. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    FR Says
“Do we win this game if Cam had played?”

The Bucs had more starters injured. So they played with a bigger handicap.

  21. Bucs3 Says:

What was up with that playing calling tho?

  22. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Mike Evans and Vjax stood up tonite

  23. Warrenfb12 Says:

Man I dunno. Didn’t like the game called by dirk.

  24. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Gameplan was good for Jameis……no turnovers

  25. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Play calling was fine.

  26. Jeagan1999 Says:

Thank God he made that final kick! I was afraid the kid was gonna get tarred, feathered and thrown on a box car out of town when they got back to Tampa!

A “gutty” win by the Bucs!

  27. Rojas Says:

Hopefully this game winning field goal gives him his confidence back.

  28. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

So, is hte same guy creating new names to say he didn’t like the play calling? Because it sure seems like the same guy over and over. And a bunch of new names.

    Gonna get himself banned, lol.

  29. Phred Says:

“Do we win this game if Cam played?”

Might as well ask do we win this game if Doug Martin, GMC or Ayers played?

  30. TheRealDrew Says:

Happy for win and Aguyao, but Dirk has to get his crap straight.

  31. D-Rome Says:

Anyone who thinks Dirk called a good game is a moron. He coached like a coward and pretty much embarrassed Jameis on national TV by running on 3rd and 9. So many bad play calls and poor clock management. The Bucs won tonight in spite of Dirk Koetter.

  32. The bucfan 88 Says:

Look ppl this was an ugly game but we came into this game with no ayers no Martin no gmc and we got 4 TO Jameis threw no int yes it was ugly but going into the bye week to get healthy this is pretty sweet

  33. 911bucs Says:

    Way to go Roberto!!!!

  34. Erik w/ Clean Athletics & United Games - a new 'Interactive' Fantasy Sports app by the makers of Madden Football Says:

Cutter seems to allow how emotions to drastically effect his playcalling…

As soon as Winston makes one bad decision, he takes thegame out of his hands and gets wayyy too conservative.

We really got lucky to overcome his horrible playcalling to start our 2-min drive at the end.

  35. Erik w/ Clean Athletics & United Games - a new 'Interactive' Fantasy Sports app by the makers of Madden Football Says:

    *Koetter Lol

  36. Buc1987 Says:

I feel good. Told ya’ll I felt good about this game. Didn’t say they’d win though, but wow. How does a team go from 15-1 to 1-4? I’ll take it.

Should’ve won the Rams game…damn it.

  37. Welcomebackoetter Says:

To those bit$hin about the play calling, no jameis turnovers and a win. Job well done.

  38. WutdaBUCisthis? Says:

    @Bonzai

    Oh n
    YO JOE
    GO BUCS!!!

  39. Chucklehead Says:

That was the craziest game winning 2 minute drive Ive ever seen. How many runs did they pop off? We got extremely lucky tonight, But, Ill take it. Go Bucs, Go ugly.

  40. Trubucfan22 Says:

The play calling was very curious late in the game. How in the world does koetter trust aguayo over jameis? That blew my mind. I am impressed that koetter was able to stick to the run early in the game. Even late in the game he kept pounding even though it wasn’t working. The fan and competitor in me wanted to see jameis sling it against this shoddy secondary. But koetter stuck to his game plan and we did get the win. So i can’t be upset over it.

  41. Bucs Ace Says:

    NFC champs are in freefall

  42. MadMax Says:

Maybe Roberto needed this to turn it around and build some confidence.

    BUT!

It shouldnt have fallen on his shoulders like it did. 4 Turnovers, 3 from our D (crucial one from Grimes in the end zone) and 1 from special teams! We shouldve won this game by 14 or more! Just pointing it out.

  43. Eric Says:

No such thing as bad game plan when u beat the Panthers in their house on MNF. Got the running game going which was huge.

When Jameis is no turnover good Jameis were a decent team. Kid had some fine throws,

    Huge win.

  44. Tampa Tony Says:

Koetter coaches scared and I hate that

But the Bucs play another few bad qbs so another 3-4 wins and then it’s all about the draft

  45. Trubucfan22 Says:

In past games he has let jameis throw it for the most times in the league. He had his game plan set to run the ball. He did it early and often. He made winston be a game manager for a change and we won. By the skin of his teeth, but he got the win. I think it was good to put winston in check. Winston has been very sloppy this year and it didnt really get any better in the limited passes he had today. So to show winston he doesnt have to do it all himself, his was a great lesson for winston. Hopefully this win can give us some momentum. This was he hard part of schedule. To come out 2-3 was what all of us expected. We played some good teams. Things get a bit easier in the next part of the schedule. Im still only hoping for a .500 season. But we need to see some better team football. All 3 phases need to step it up after the bye week.

  46. Stpetebucsfan Says:

Do we win this game if Cam had played?

Do we win this game if GMC played? Doug Martin? Ayers? McDonald?

Before the game the negative nellies here were blabbing about how Derek Anderson owned us and would beat us again.

Tampa Tony thought Anderson played “FAR” better than #3.

It was a hard fought win between two depleted teams. It was on the road!
We are 2-0 in our division! We now have two weeks to heal and learn from a killer first five games but go ahead and figure a way to denigrate #3’s throws in the last two minutes…VJAX’s receptions…hey Mike Evans dropped a ball..

I think Koetter also broke wind on the sideline…have I left out any negative?

  47. Ndog Says:

Do any of you idiots think maybe he ran the ball so much to keep the depleted defense off the field? And guess what he did exactly that!

  48. ElioT Says:

    – Jamies was horrrible.
    – Play calling left me dumbfounded at points.
    – Penalties were ridiculous.
    – Something is seriously wrong with David.
    – The D set another career record for an opposing player.
    – Aguayo is still awful.
    – Couldn’t put away the game with so many opportunities.

They have a ton of issues to clean up.

With that said, many guys stood up on defense today which was awesome to see. Grimes, McDougald, A. Spence, Lambert, Ward, Hughes III… balled out.

    Go Sucs!!!

  49. Brent bull/buc Says:

Great game call by dk save a couple calls. Playing short handed and with poor kicking. Great balance as grudges acknowledged. Jw didn’t have to win game by himself or lose game by himself. Another bad game for our kicker he’s gotta get better.

  50. Kobe Faker Says:

    Kobe faker was right

  51. Buc fan since 76 Says:

As a nail-biter against a crappy team. But I’ll take it.

  52. Pat Says:

    @D-Rome,

What makes you say that Koetter failed so many times in one game? It may be true and I might have missed what you are alluding to but I went into this game thinking that Koetter does not need to be the intelligent Offensive Coordinator guy that gets to be a Head Coach. He needs to do the far more difficult job of using wisdom as a Head Coach with a young team who is struggling to learn how to win. I will take the “wise” Coach Koetter over the let me show you how intelligent I can be Head Coach. Wisdom over intelligence every time. 6 runs right down their throat to open the game was wise but it wasn’t necessarily intelligent. Brilliant coaching on his part not to mention perfect time management at the end of the game . He may have actually sucked at everything you think he sucked at. But…at the end of the game his team was in a position to win and they did with no time left on the clock. Brilliant game planning and coaching for this team at this time. Scoreboard

  53. Pelbuc Says:

Congrats to the Bucs for playing hard and finding a way to win. I was pretty sure this was gonna be a loss but most fans thought Bucs would be 2-3 going into the bye. Clutch 2 minute drive and Jacquezz plays with los of heart. Other than letting Olsen go wild, defense stepped up.

  54. Stpetebucsfan Says:

another bad game for our kicker

Who won the freaking game. Man you guys are really blind. Again did you listen to Gruden described Janikowski’s rookie year?

And so Aguayo is five games into his career. How many game winning last second kicks has he attempted? Oh that’s right he’s attempted ONE..he’s made ONE

So far in his brief career Aguayo is 1.000 on game winning kicks.

Now I’m not annointing him the next Vinateri or Janikowski. He may not make it. But for heaven’s sake if I did that would be no more absurd than screaming for his head five games into his career!

  55. Pit Says:

erik our coach did the right thing.VJ was empty and JW forces a throw at ME in double coverage??? why in the world would he let #3 throw away another game?
this way hopefully JW learns smthng we win a game and everybody is happy.
    what about that time management??

    Take the win,enjoy and STFU!!!!

  56. RumRunner Says:

Cannons fired! But Dirk may need to relinquish the play calling duties or take a course in situational football. Anyway GO Bucs!!!

  57. RumRunner Says:

How was the licht ale? Certainly picked a perfect night for the release!

  58. Tampa Tony Says:

    News flash to St Pete

Anderson did outplay Jameis. Jameis missed wide open receivers forced throws and Koetter took the ball out of his hands to win the game. Anderson had the turnovers but was pushing the ball down the field and nearly had 300 yards.

Don’t get me wrong I’m happy for the win but Jameis is not that good it’s just a fact

  59. SteelStudBuc Says:

Aguayo needs to get it together… It’s torture watching him single-handedly piss away games.

I was a bit upset with Koetter’s play calling at some points, but you know what… Jameis has been an interception throwing machine… Can’t say I blame him… Hopefully this is the beginning of better days.

Will be nice to get some guys back healthy.

  60. You go joe Says:

Koetter had jac run right on 3rd n 9 to help aguayo. Kid can’t kick from the left hash. Wasted a play setting up a kicker to miss. JW did the same right before the kick.
Kid is getting babied… Or maybe I never seen a kicker need this extra help

  61. surfbuc Says:

I’ll take it. Feel like the Bucs got stronger tonight. Not only did we win on prime time, we did a 2 point conversion on prime time and made it look easy.

  62. Warthog Says:

Well done Koetter for grabbing that one by the wherever
