Chucky Says Baker Mayfield Is A “Gruden Grinder”

Chucky is back to being a media machine like his old days working for the four-letter. Although now, Chucky is working for Barstool Sports.
Dave Portnoy, El Presidente of Barstool Sports, hired Chucky recently and claims advertisers are beating down his door to work with Chucky.
So much for the NFL’s rationale for blackballing Chucky. (Allegedly.)
Among the projects Portnoy has Chucky working on is a weekly “Gruden’s Grinders” that has Chucky highlighting the strong play from guys who like to do the grimy, sweating, tough work in the NFL.
Chucky gave Baker Mayfield a shoutout this week for his play against the Giants. Chucky loves how Mayfield hurt a defense in so many ways: legs, arm, or blocking 40-50 yards downfield.
“We have the heart and soul of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Baker Mayfield,” Chucky began. “He jumps over bodies for a touchdown, then he’s downfield as a lead blocker.
“Eleven different receivers. And I love this thing he does.”
Chucky then began imitating Mayfield imitating Tommy Cutlets.
“I’m working on it,” Chucky smiled of his imitation. “Way to go Mayfield.”
The way Mayfield played Sunday, he was like a 12th man. What defense expects a quarterback to block downfield like 40 yards?
Defenses have to worry about Mayfield’s arm, his legs and now his blocking.
That’s a guy willing to put the offense on his back and carry his team to the playoffs if he has to.

I’m grateful Baker IS Our Guy. I Sure Did Not have this love for him off the rip. I thought we could SURELY do better than a floundering journeyman. I’m so grateful I was wrong and he has EARNED my Staunch Support and Respect. Im quite sure he IS the REAL DEAL!
Riding or Dying with Baker to the very end and will support him just as passionately as a Baker Boi but not into the realm of obscure. That’s not necessary. His play says it all even if he’s not perfect, he sure makes up for it in So Many other ways.
Ride or Die as long as he’s leading our Tampa Bay Buccaneers, I’ve got his back! He has my Respect, regardless….. GO BUCS!

What’s a Gruden Grinder? I’m guessing it’s bologna and American cheese on wonder bread. No one works harder than Chucky to make Chucky germane than Joe.

I was cautiously optimistic when the Bucs got Baker. It only took a few games and I was sold. Baker proves it on the field with his effort, his guts and his results. I find it difficult to believe there are any people left who still want Trask.

It makes sense that Chucky would love to have Mayfield as his QB. Jeff Garcia was a Chucky favorite and Mayfield is the QB that Garcia aspired to be.

I mentioned several weeks ago that Baker IS NOT the reason that the Bucs have had a tough time so far. We all know in Joe Buc Land that the defense is the issue.
However, I think it’s ridiculous and dangerous that we have know idea what Trask is after 2-3 years! Give him at least several sequences at garbage time. If he shows any promise he’s a good trading chip. He’s not going to start for the Bucs unless here is an injury.

I think Gruden has found his place in life as a commentator, as well as Baker has found his as our QB.

I keep forgetting about Baker blocking downfield, and in my mind Grudens comments are so credible ! The man is a football guru !!

People overrate performance. BA and Chucky won super bowls for the Bucs, but now we have the sleeper – best coach ever. It’s the intangibles that matter. Don’t get hung up on number of wins, yards allowed, or failed fake punts. Bucs fans have our winner now! Yay Bucs.
