Shaq Barrett’s Season Is Over

October 28th, 2022

Done for 2022.

Last night it was “feared.” Now it is reality.

Bucs sack king Shaq Barrett blew out his Achilles last night in the ugly loss the Crows. His season is over. Per uber-insider Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Shaq is expected to be gone for at least seven months.

That means Shaq likely won’t hit a football field until maybe the end of underwear football season in May.

It just keeps getting worse…sucks! Go Bucs! I just hope Brady comes back next year to play with the Bucs. This season has been a complete mess.

  2. Da Bucs Guy Says:

    Did it ever start?

  3. BradentuckeyBuc Says:

Probably still runs faster than Devin White did last night!

  4. Anonymous Says:

🙁 the Devil has come for his due from the super bowl

  5. Rod Munch Says:

Seriously, just call the Dolphins owner, try to get multiple 1st for Brady. You’d be able to get a huge haul out of that Brady fanboy, and this season isn’t going anywhere. You can’t lose player after player after player and have terrible coaching and think everything is going to work out OK.

  6. Jeff Says:

Brady leaves the Yucs to play elsewhere. Lock yourselves in for a 6 win season! Good news is the Bucs can trade up for a QB in the 1st. This is a good draft for QB’s.

  7. LVMYBUCS Says:

Doesnt matter these players dont want to play hard for Bowles and Leftwitch.

  8. Marine Buc Says:

    @ Joe

Peter King just said – “The Bucs have a ‘paper mache’ defense”

That is a pretty accurate description.

We also have “paper mache” coaches… Just going through the motions and pretending to have answers.

    Welcome to the dumpster fire…

  9. Lokog Says:

Ill enjoy watching the goat for his last year to bad we can’t win anymore it’ll take a miracle or two

  10. BuxfaninTax Says:

Could’ve cut some dead weight free agents and had Robert Quinn…

  11. Bucsfan13 Says:

Players don’t have any time to recover with these TNF games. The players only thought about money and not their health when they agreed to this.

  12. BucBallin Says:

Don’t worry folks, Bowels has a plan.

    “We just gotta get better”.

3-5. How did we ever win 3?

Fire the HC and OC before they totally ruin the franchise.

  13. Redeemer Says:

Shaq sucked all year. He was also terrible in big games last year. Ironically he was playing his best game last night, and boom. Bucs have a big decision when he’s healthy.

  14. BucU Says:

The Shaq news is just the exclamation point to a season where we have another epidemic of injuries, a GM who completely dropped the ball when Jensen then Stinnie went down for the year. He did NOTHING. That’s on him. Bowles and Leftwich have gotten exposed so badly I’m not sure they win another game this year. This team has sleepwalked thru this whole season. Not an ounce of excitement or enthusiasm.
    Sickening.

  15. Capt.Tim Says:

Our best defensive player. Just ahead of Winfield Jr.
I wish him a speedy recovery

Our weak defense just became horrible

OMG, I just realized, it’s the curse of #3, Jameis. He went to New Orleans and learned Voodoo, just like Doug Williams did. It took him a couple of years to get the spell right, but now the team will never again win more than 3 games until we put Winston into the Ring of Honor.

  17. ElioT Says:

It’s possible Shaq wont ever be the same player.

This season is just a giant kick to the nads over and over again.

    LOL! Uh no.

It’s Winfield, LVD, Davis, even Vita, then Shaq.

Winfield is, by far, the best player on this defense, and it’s not particularly close at this point. In previous years it would be LVD, but he’s starting to show his age a bit AND Winfield has just improved to the point that he looks like a Ronde Barber clone.

  19. Your Mom Says:

“Well it can’t get any worse”
    – Everybody before this news

  20. Capt.Tim Says:

    Hey Rod,
    Disagree Buddy.
The most Valuable Defensive players are Pass Rushers. Thats why they get drafted first, after only QBs.
We had one, after we lost JPP.
    Now we have none.

  21. Jack Sparrow Says:

I did not realize he was still with the Bucs.

  22. D-Rok Says:

Eeeks the losses keep coming. But hey, at least we have JTS. 🙁

  23. Bucamania Says:

    That’s a real bummer. Heal up 58

  24. kyle Says:

anonymous^^ agree… time to pay the piper for the Superbowl…

  25. Mike Johnson Says:

The article is titled, Shaq Barrett’s season is over. But say guys..So is ours. It was over the minute Toms wife got in his head. And it was over When we realized this D line is one of the worst in the NFL. It was over when we had to start 3 new O linemen. Just not our year. Let Tom ride off into the sunset. He looks tired, old, and disgruntled. Did you see him try to run last night? On the other hand, we might be in the running for a top 5 draft pick this year.

    ==========

I would completely agree with you if we had a special pass rusher, but I also don’t think Shaq has been anything special the last couple of years. He had an amazing 2019, since then he’s been good, but not special. Meanwhile, Winfield might be the best safety in football right now and is on pace to be a first ballot HOFer. Also, David, should be a first ballot HOFer.

I’m not bashing Shaq by any means, it’s just more a comment on how valuable Winfield has become.

THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Losing Marpet, Jensen and Stinnie and thinking a Rook and a 2nd year player both playing out of position would patch that GAPING hole in our line and protect our 45 year old tree!!! WTF!

Not to mention not resigning the NEVER injured glue on the DL in Suh!!! ugh!

  28. MadMax Says:

Dang, I’m just now seeing this…heal brother, take care of yourself.

  29. HawaiianBuc Says:

    Now go get Suh. #bowlesout
