Ravens Adjusted By Deciding To Run The Ball Down The Bucs’ Throat

So the Bucs led 10-3 tonight at halftime.
It should have been a bigger lead, which would have forced the Ravens to keep throwing the football.
But that didn’t happen because the Bucs offense got anemic after scoring on their first two drives against the Ravens. Per reports on the Amazon postgame show, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh put his foot down at halftime and decided to run the ball because that’s what his team does best. Never mind that the Bucs defense came out strong and has Devin White, Lavonte David and Vita Vea.
And it worked.
The Ravens attempted just eight passes in the second half and humiliated the Bucs with 31 carries for 231 yards for the night.
The Bucs have the talent to have a decent run defense. But a good run defense requires discipline, toughness and heart. The Bucs are lacking in all those areas.
It’s perhaps the biggest difference between the 2022 Bucs and the Tampa Bay teams of the past two years.
Joe doesn’t know how Todd Bowles quickly can fix every phase of his team’s game in need of repair, or if he even knows how to approach it.

I counted them…..we missed 884 tackles……
The difference is our offense scores 3 instead of 7 and doesn’t sustain drives….it wears our defense out by halftime…..look at the 2nd half defensive stats….

Biggest disappointment was seeing Devin White blocked 20 yards down field on almost every play in the second half. Can you say overrated.

Trade the fraud while there is still some value. Diva is slow and stupid. Can’t tackle or cover. He sucks miserably.
Yet tonight, can’t say that Mymoron was the biggest reason for the suckage. That goes to the Bowels of Toad, whose most memorable moment since the SB was blowing the best comeback in NFL history.

Jts and devin white are some of the most undisciplined players I’ve ever seen they’re about half the reason this defense stinks. They’ve never heard the word contain in their lives and devin white 1 play got blocked 20 yards pas los lol

45 is a colossal disappointment. The loafing, poor gap control, and getting manhandled by a rookie all night long was a very bad look. Everyone that doesn’t wear 31, 78, 14 should be made available on the trading block. Everyone. The trouble is ego and a lack of objectivity. We will stay the course and be 3 win team at the bye….and after.

I have long been a supporter of Devin, but the way he has played this season. Especially the last 3 weeks, makes me want Lord Licht to offer him up at the trade deadline. He just doesn’t get it and I’m afraid he never will.

It seems to me that the team takes on the personality of their leader, head coach. Todd Bowles does not appear to be a leader of men. He was not successful in his first go round as head coach and sure seems he’s the author of destruction of a very talented football roster.

TOP was lopsided like I feared. 40 freaking minutes. Ravens must have had 4 guys with 50 yards rushing. Worst 8 game start to Brady’s career. None of them look like they believe in the plan, or each other. Start selling off and start the rebuild on the fly. Hold on though, Bowles said the other day they were in a good space mentally

First thing we need to do is to fire our strength and conditioning coaches.
WE were fine for the first quarter, actually we were dominate, but after the half, you could see our guys on both sides of the ball we exhausted.

Harbough just had a weird game plan. I would have figured he’d run the ball down the Bucs’ throats the entire game; instead he waited until the second half.
The Buc run defense was surviving on reputation alone. That reputation has ended.

Remember last year when opponents knew they cant run the ball on this Defense and in many games didnt even try and just resorted to the quick passing game.
Well this year they dont even care to throw more than 10 passes because they know they can get 200 yards rushing.
I am not excusing Bowles because he has to take a big chunk of the blame but when 3 times out of the last 4 games the D give up around 200+ yards rushing that will fall on the players. Also looks like the front office and the coaching stuff way misjudged how much important Suh was for the running D.
And about D.White, i think i m at that point when i wont be fulled again after a few good games that he has taken the next step to become a top player. He was a good player then came the 2020 playoffs where he was a stud and i believed he had arrived. Then in 2021 he never continued in that path. Again in the start of the season the first 2 games he was flying all over the field even in coverage breaking up passes and i really thoght maybe now he finally gets it and do it (not only words)………. But again he is missing in action. Dont know.
Many issues with the team both Offense and Defense both Coachinng and Players. Even if they find some things to get better and win the division (a bad one) i just dont think we can expect more. We didnt see that coming for sure at least at that level of bad.

232 yards rushing, 204 yds rushing Seco d half, inexcusable. Harbaugh perfect game plan, keep it close wait for Bucs D’s adrenaline dump then run it down their throats. WHY, WHY, WHY not stay in no huddle O? The O may not score a TD but they get in scoring range. D White has to be the easiest defender to scheme against in the league. They need to tape his mouth shut.
