Satisfied Gronk, Injured Gronk

October 18th, 2020

Today’s victory marked the biggest game for Rob Gronkowski in a Buccaneers uniform.

It was a welcome sight to see him look like the tight end fans fantasized about all summer.

Gronk made the tough catches look easy, hauling in five balls for 78 yards and a touchdown. And in the end zone, he looked like the you-just-can’t-cover-him guy the Bucs thought they bought in April.

It was a beautiful sight.

Joe was gearing up for a big, trademark spike after Gronk caught his third-quarter touchdown, his first in a Bucs uniform. Instead, Gronk paused, thought about the spike, and then did a rather weak one with his left hand.

After the game, Gronk was asked about it by FOX reporter Erin Andrews, and Gronk said he went lefty because his right shoulder isn’t feeling so great. He didn’t elaborate.

Joe was too happy to let that injury comment send a shiver through Joe’s body. Joe will simply pray to the football gods that Gronk is ok.

As for Gronk leading the Bucs in receiving today, he said it’s just a byproduct of hard work in practice and things clicking there. It was satisfying to have things show up on the field, Gronk said, and was confident it would come. And then Gronk gushed about the mighty Tampa Bay defense.

Damn, what a game.

But in regards to gronk , he was in witness protection early on. He stayed in game after td. Actually missed pretty easy ball.

    Go bucs.

So let the man rest. He deserves it.

Gronk will get your hopes up just enough to let you down when you need him most, in the playoffs. He’s a walking concussion and that CTE he’s got will only get worse with each hit he takes, nevermind the rest of his plethora of injuries. That game Sunday was an outlier. Should have stayed retired…

Can we just lose out so Mike Evans can get 1,000 yards this season or what?

There’s a video about this Gronk’s first touchdown as a Buccaneer showing the whole catch in slow motion. It’s a thing of beauty…textbook…brilliant….so glad we have him. Go Bucs!!
