Deep Threat

October 25th, 2020

“Scotty, I love you, man. I know I just demanded we replace you. What have I done?”

Little Scotty Miller continues to be Tom Brady’s BFF and now he’s got his first 100-plus-yards game.

Just look at what happened in the Bucs’ critical drive very late in the first half against the Raiders this evening.

The Bucs’ big guns were on the field and who got three significant targets? Miller.

The last one came on a dagger of a 35-yard touchdown dart in the back of the end zone. The throw was about 50 in the air.

After six catches for 109 yards today, Miller’s now got 22 catches for 365 yards. Obviously, Miller, who has been battling hip and groin injuries, is getting healthy — or is healthy — after just one catch over the previous two games. After the game, Bucco Bruce Arians told the Buccaneers Radio Network that Miller is 85 percent healthy.

And what timing, right after the Bucs sign freak-show criminal receiver Antonio Brown.

Miller at his small size really isn’t a slot guy whatsoever. He’s a true outside burner. Chris Godwin also had a great game, and Mike Evans made a helluva catch late in the game while rookie Tyler Johnson caught his second TD.

What an array of weapons the Bucs have. Joe sure hopes nothing upsets this fantastic chemistry.

Tom Brady was dropping dimes everywhere. Tom Brady puts finesse on his passes compared to Jameis Winston’s frozen rope fastballs on every throw. Tom Brady is the reason why we are 5-2 and not 2-5

  2. Bird Says:

    Hey. The one joe
    Yes. Awesome stuff

    The other joe and Winstonites
    Bye felicia

  3. Bee Says:

It can’t be overstated how a change at QB has taken this team to another level. Brady will make sure we have chemistry. He throws to the open man. The D plays hard and gets timely turnovers. The Bucs are a complete team.

  4. Blogtalkfootball.com Says:

I hope Evans gets healthy ASAP.

TB12 Dropping Dimes All Day!!! Spread That Damn Ball!! 5-2 NFC South Leaders!

  6. Brandon Says:

Not a fan of the AB signing but someone has to go. I think that guy is Jayson Mickens if AB will return punts and kicks.

  7. 813bucboi Says:

Brady missed a few passes…but was money when we needed him…

    GO BUCS

  8. Bucs Fan Since ‘76 Says:

Mickens is the weak link on this team. He has excellent hands but no speed, quickness or acceleration, all necessary components to a competitive return game. I actually think he may be used primarily as a punt and kick returner rather than as a receiver, unless there’s an injury.

  9. D-Rome Says:

Brady is the greatest QB in Bucs history. Anyone that suggests that former #1 overall draft bust should be ignored.

  10. DaBux Says:

No, TB12 did not demand a replacement, he and the team are worried about #13 and #14’s injuries. AB can fill in and spot rest our starters as needed. You put Tyler Johnson out with AB, Gronk, Brate and Miller? Fawgeddaboutit.

  11. Casual Observer Says:

With 9 receivers today – and mostly healthy —– who needs BA?

  12. Tampabaybucfan Says:

How can you blame Antonio Brown for being hired by the Bucs…..

If you have a beef….it should be with the Glazers, Licht & BA….(and maybe Brady)…..but not Brown..

  13. Sorryjackchuckiesback Says:

You wanted to bench him last year Joe… And people were giving you crap about Rojo because you are not good at seeing the talent!! You kept wondering why all these coaches who get paid millions in this league kept saying “the bucs have plenty of talent” …. You just couldn’t see it!! Miller was this guy last year too and Winston just overthrew him over and over and over!! And the line is starting to play better is why Rojo “looks” better…. His first year he really didn’t have a chance but his second year you could see how good he was if you knew what you are looking for and he just wasn’t getting any blocking and had some reeeeally bad calls on big runs…. Miller is NOT an outside threat!! He has played his whole career in the slot and is not good enough to go up against top tier corners and beat them with anything more than speed… They have him right where he belongs,.. out running slow, bigger hitting slot corners!!

  14. CPN Says:

Maybe Brown’s mental health is in a better spot. We should give him a fair shot before he gets cut in week 10.

  15. Rico 210 Says:

And he’ll be more of a deep threat with AB on the field. Duh. Damn sure glad you ain’t the GM Joe.
    GMC still here
    Winston still here
    No Suh
    No Brady
    No Gronk on and on
    Relax homie. They got this
    Go Bucs

Buehler? Ndog? Realist? Sheep? Anthem? Need a Realist report!

  17. jjtixs Says:

@ sorryjack………….your out of your mind if you say.Scotty MILLER..Isnt an outside receiver! did u watch today?????????????

    scotty

  18. Clean House Says:

Look for AB to replace Mickens- that’s my guess

  19. stpetebucsfan Says:

The ONLY stat I care about is W’s and L’s. The rest is as the man once said around here…for losers!

So we have wonderful problems. Two future HOFers…one potential HOFer at the same position with only ONE football to go around.

I honestly believe it’s not going to matter. WINNING will surpass everything. This team has a chance to achieve some special things if they do not let egos get in the way. As long as this team wins we’re fine.

  20. TampaTown Says:

    Bird:
    That was friggin awesome 😂

  21. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

AB will be available for the Aints game. This offense is much different from what we fielded that first game. Brady had just an ok game yet still scored 3 tds. Today he could’ve had almost 450 yards if he didn’t miss some open guys. Today he was phenomenal!

  22. Sorryjackchuckiesback Says:

Jjt … Yeah I saw him burn 3rd string corners all night because the best corners were busy covering the better receivers on the team… Miller is too small and doesn’t quite yet run the type of route tree those guys do to play that outside wr spot… He played really good tonight and I’ve been a Miller supporter since this sight was saying bench him because I saw that he was open all the time and Winston just wasn’t getting it to him and I saw the speed and the drive and determination in his eyes…. But he’s not a number one or 2 receiver bro!! He’s right where he needs to be right now!! Up against sub par corners and beat them deep while they try to double Mike and Chris!!!

  23. Onetrickpony Says:

Script number two of the Brad Johnson era

  24. Mike Says:

TB is too good evaluating WRs.

  25. Buczilla Says:

ROFL “Freak-show criminal receiver Antonio Brown”. Please use this moniker for Antonio, I just about sprayed my coffee all over the table. That deep touchdown to Miller was freaking art man. I can’t wait to see what Wright and Russini have to say about our team this week.
