Buccaneers 45, Raiders 20

October 25th, 2020

What a manly, January-like road victory this was for the Buccaneers today.

It’s the stuff that makes playoff dreams real. The Bucs (5-2) are now undefeated at home and .500 on the road. That’s how you win the freakin’ division.

Back-to-back blowouts of winning football teams!

Tom Brady was phenomenal, 32-for-44 for 346 yards and 4 touchdown passes.

Brady is on pace for 41 touchdowns and 9 interceptions!!!

Devin White broke through as an effective quarterback hunter for the second consecutive game, which is very, very exciting. Three sacks for White – Three!

Chris Godwin looked in midseason form.

Scotty Miller continues to be a legitimate deep threat.

Leonard Fournette returned revitalized.

The run defense continues to flourish. Pro Bowler Josh Jacobs with 10 carries for 17 yards.

And the second-best part is angry Chucky was humiliated on his home turf.

The best part? The Bucs are alone in first place and off to play a crappy Giants team in 8 days.

I love our secondary!!! Carlton has to be OK……I determined today that he is the best player on this team!!! He is our MVP IMO.

  17. Buc4ever Says:

Brady is deadly in the red zone. Makes it look like slo-mo and easy. No JW freak outs, fumbles,or screw ups.

  18. Rayjay1122 Says:

    Stacking W’s

  19. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Devin White is a speed monster…..what a player…..all over the field…..

Another great game….I think only one penalty on the offense….no sacks, no turnovers…..we can’t be beat when we do that.

It’s quite a feeling to start a drive on the 20-25 and be confident of eating clock and scoring points every damn time.

  27. Elita Vita Says:

Will Antonio Brown return kicks in his “scheduled” 1st game at home vs New Orleans???

  28. bojim Says:

That Brady guy is pretty good. 🙂

  29. Steven007 Says:

The difference in QB the last few games, not to mention the whole season, cannot be overstated. What a wholesale difference on all levels. Ball protection. Accuracy. The list goes on. If both sides of the ball continue to play like this we are absolutely legitimate contenders come January / February. And possibly March…

  30. orlbucfan Says:

Bucs are getting closer to playoffs for guys like LVD who had his usual game, will finally play in a playoff game.

  31. Joe in Michigan Says:

    Just win, baby!!

  32. No Risk It No Biscuit Says:

    Anyone seen the Realist?????????????????????????????????????

  33. Sourbob Says:

The most complete team in the NFL?

  34. JasonH Says:

Are their anymore Winston fanboys hanging around this site anymore?

  35. Steven007 Says:

By the way, Scotty Miller proved to be anything but a scrubby dullard this game. Right Munch?

  36. UKBuccaneer Says:

I think the Steelers and Chiefs are the best overall teams in the league. I’d absolutely put our bucs in the tier immediately below them though.

  37. No Risk It No Biscuit Says:

Who is not convinced we are a playoff team?

    Go Bucs!!!

  38. JimmyJack Says:

What were we today 8for8 in the Redzone? Or was it 9for9?

    Byron is unstoppable!

  39. ©MadMax Says:

Evans, Godwin, Gronk, AB, ….i mean who do you double? …And speedy Miller wide open….man are you kidding me, just stop, its too much…and I didnt even bring in Brate and TJ….TOO MUCH, LOL SMDH!

  41. AtlBuc Says:

And then a crappy New Orleans team

  42. Buc_U Says:

Good win today, but I swear I wanna slap the next person that says Tompa Bay🤣

  43. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Anyone watch the FOX after show? Howie said, “If they can control themselves, then no one can beat them.” He said this in regard to there not being enough ‘ball to go around’.

A comment like that wasn’t made before we signed Brown.

  44. NYC Bucs Says:

Most complete team right now in the NFL

  45. Rayjay1122 Says:

I agree with Howie Long, our Bucs are the most complete team in the NFL and only the Bucs can beat the Bucs.

  46. DaBux Says:

Scotty Miller to AB: No, you can not have my position. Try returning punts.

  47. Joe in Michigan Says:

Have you noticed the “doom and gloomers” posts early on in the open thread, how all of the negative posts don’t age well? It’s comical to read after the fact, especially last week’s.

  48. SmoothBayRider Says:

Whatever happened to that hater Tmaxxcon ?

  49. Tampabaybucfan Says:

AB replacing Cyril Grayson doesn’t seem like so bad a deal to me…..

  50. ©MadMax Says:

Sorry guys, but i have ndog gagged and im throttling him….but dont worry, i poured a lot of lube on it so it wont hurt too much….from the gagged noises he’s making, i think he’s actually enjoying the throttling 🙂

  51. All lives matter Says:

Was it Brady? ..or was it Belichick? ..NE benched Newton after his Jameis Winston rendition of tossing INT’s

  52. Joe Says:

Whatever happened to that hater Tmaxxcon ?

He pesters Joe on twitter now. 🙂

  53. Colin in Canada Says:

    45 points wow

  54. jugheadfla Says:

We just blew out the Raiders and all the press can do is ask Tom about AB…..losers

  55. BUC CHEEKS Says:

Awesome win guys!!! Tony Gonzalez called us the most complete team in the NFL… And that’s not the first time this week I’ve heard that.

  56. TomTom Says:

@MadMax Best post of the day

This is a different feeling than I’ve had since the Gruden days.

Defense stood their ground and Brady never took his foot off the gas.

Let’s savor this victory and look forward to the Giants on Monday Night Football.

These are great days we’re living boys!!!

    Go Bucs!!!

  57. DBS Says:

I can’t wait for the stupid statement just like we saw last week about the Packers. Only this wee it will be. The Raiders LET The Bucs Beat Them!.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! That’s hilarious Joe!!! Sorry man 🤣

  61. TheShaz Says:

    Anybody missing Jameis?

Do you think New England is missing Brady?

    Is Evans still gimpy?

  62. Bird Says:

He commented about my wife. Send him to me
    Bucs r real

Jameis is tour hype. Brady balls kid
    18 and 4

  63. UKBuccaneer Says:

Raiders fans on Twitter lighting up Gruden now for being a terrible offensive mind, too conservative, and out of touch with football.
Which is all very accurate, and one of the reasons that he won’t ever be more than a .500 winning coach.

  64. NJBucsFan Says:

Confirmed PTSD from the Winston years. Up 24-10 and honestly feeling they were going to lose the game. Got to realize Brady is a little bit better than the previous QB.

  65. #1 BUCFAN Says:

Just my opinion, IF the Bucs can stay healthy and minor injuries the only team to beat them will be Tampa Bay Bucs..

  66. Howard Cosell Says:

Was New England’s great success due to Belicheat or Brady?

  67. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Ndog, Munch, Realist – where are you guys?

  68. LongSeason Says:

My complaint is this team is leaving me nothing to complaint about!!!
    Well . . .
    That ain’t so bad.

  69. Christopher Schiefen Says:

Hold on…Todd Bowles as someone who understands his defense wanted Devin White and not Josh Allen. Now “Joe” as someone who doesn’t understand this this defense (or football, admitting today he never watched the Patriots?) keeps harping on IMPENDING DOOM Antonio Brown. Maybe BA and Licht (AND TOM) understand this football team (& football in general) and know it’s gonna be ok. So it’s official: if Joe deems something a bad football move, feel good about it.

  70. Boggy Buc Says:

I am not used to this at all. Two straight games with 5 minutes left and you could chill and celebrate a win. I also have Jameis PTSD. My therapy is going great. Go Bucs. Awesome.

  71. Jmarkbuc Says:

We’re a good team. Don’t know if I would say “most complete “, not until secondary improves a little more.

23 is routinely in over his head it would seem. I will say that Edwards makes plays, almost immediately when he enters the game.

Defense isn’t 2002, but not many are. I’d like a little more from the D before I crown us….

  72. firethecannons Says:

offense was exciting, secondary could be better. good to see Winfield get a pick, Edwards had a pick too–penalty negated it. They had an offensive line that does not give up, our defense prevailed, we have White and David our secret weapons! Our offensive line was playing well as TB12 had time.

  73. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

This is a bend don’t break defense. When they stop bending they really put the snack down on people. Edwards definitely should start over SMB who is always running behind receivers. Glad Winfield got his first! You can see how he made sure to get his arms under that ball. He really wanted that one! Perfect place perfect time!

  74. Wideleftandright Says:

Better not read all those “get a big head articles yet” Didnt Daniel Jones light the Bucs up last year ?? A trap game for sure .
    Just saying !!

    Go Bucs
