Perriman Target Depth

December 15th, 2019

Big play man.

In his Wednesday conference call with the Tampa Bay pen and mic club, Lions coach Matt Patricia mentioned Breshad Perriman as dangerous and also noted how dangerous Mr. Entertainment, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston’s arm is on deep throws.

It seems the PFF tribe has evidence why Patricia is concerned. Only two receivers in the NFL have been targeted with deeper passes than Perriman, based on the average depth of throws to them. And one will be playing against the Bucs today.

Per the tribe, Mike Williams of San Diego’s average target is 18 yards downfield. Detroit’s Kenny Golladay and Perriman are nearly identical just a couple of yards behind Williams.

Of course, the Bucs have a quarterback who can launch the ball. The Lions? Matt Stafford is out and the Lions are onto their third-string quarterback David Blough from Purdue, who the Browns signed this spring as an undrafted free agent.

Then again, we all know about how the Bucs struggled against worthless backups and rookies. Sad!

Perriman was kind of loosey goosey at the beginning of the season…like he was trying to find his through a maze…but looks like he is beginning to find some traction! With Big Mike out, a few catches from Perriman and Watson will draw the heat away from GOODWIN!! GO BUCS …TAKE THE STREAK TO 4 IN A ROW!!!
