Gameday Tampa Bay

September 4th, 2009

Texans at Bucs
Preseason Game 4Kickoff:
7 p.m.
TV: WFLA Ch. 8 (Replay Saturday, 10 a.m., NFL Network)
Radio: Buccaneers Radio Network (in Tampa WFUS-FM, 103.5 and WDAE-AM, 620); Sirius Channel 125.
Weather: Per AccuWeather.com, typical Florida in the summer: weather changes constantly. Sunny and warm at kickoff forecast for 80 degrees which thunderstorms popping up early. The second half should be partly cloudy with temperatures hovering in the mid-70s.
Odds: Per Bodog.com, Jags -3 EVEN.
Outlook:The Bucs already know who the starters are. Now it’s time to pick the reserves. Few players will have more of an impact on their days with the Bucs than Josh Johnson. Currently the No. 4 quarterback, he has been impressive enough that Raheem The Dream is toying with the idea of keeping four quarterbacks.

How Chucky of him?

If Johnson lights up the Texans, don’t be shocked if Luke McCown is released tomorrow.

Also wither Matt Bryant. He has a bum leg and Raheem The Dream has all but told him if he doesn’t kick he’s gone. But if he can’t kick with a hurt leg, how can anyone expect him to win the job?

Another player to keep an eye on his Kareem Huggins. The running back has done nothing but impress Bucs officials. If he has a solid game, he too may avoid the dreaded Turk.

Speaking of solid, the lovely lass you see above is Houston Texans cheerleader Randi. No less an authority than Maxim magazine deemed her the “hottest NFL cheerleader.” While Rachel Watson will always have Joe’s heart, it’s hard to quibble with Randi’s title.
