Bucs sacks king Shaq Barrett.
So the Miami Dolphins are playing hardball with Bucs sacks king Shaq Barrett, who won’t join Tampa Bay this season.
Shaq unretired this week and Miami holds his playing rights because Shaq was on their roster when he retired in July. But the Dolphins put the word out yesterday: Shaq won’t be activated and the team will not release him.
That means Shaq will get some easy cash and will be a free agent after the season.
The 32-year-old edge rusher wanted a Bucs reunion, but that’s highly unlikely now.

The Panthers defense is one of the worst in the NFL (30.2 points per game), and Joe saw a whole lot of loaf and quit from it Sunday in the Chiefs’ game-winning drive. [read more]
