Names his No. 2 running back and more.
Joe already wrote a full story on Dirk Koetter’s fresh Friday comments on SiriusXM NFL Radio about his playcaller decision.
But Koetter had more to say about your beloved Buccaneers. [read more]

Please no.
Ryan Smith has no business being on an NFL field playing defense. [read more]

Talks playcalling
Man, Dirk Koetter has been irritated in recent days by the media question of who will be playcaller of the Bucs offense on Sunday.
Yesterday, Koetter softened a bit and shed light on a decision that he might actually be agonizing about. [read more]

No state secret.
You know, if national guys would just do a tad bit more research or at least e-mail someone who covers the Bucs, they wouldn’t look like such horsesarses when they do try to write about the Bucs. [read more]

Good news.
Yeah, the groin-stomp of news that Brent Grimes has an injured groin leaves Joe moaning. [read more]

This is a fresh Friday groin stomp to Buccaneers fans everywhere. [read more]
How patient can Dirk Koetter stay with the running game?
That’s just one question on the mind of Mr. Derrick Brooks in this inaugural episode of TAMPA TWO with Brooks and co-host and prized JoeBucsFan.com columnist Ira Kaufman.

Todd has “The Smoking Gun” in his continuing fight against the PPR concept in this edition of the Todd Wright Fantasy Football Podcast. The season opener between the Eagles and Falcons produced a bad game with a fun finish and a stat line from one Eagles wide receiver that both shows how awful the Eagles passing game was, yet stupidly and inaccurately rewards fantasy owners in full point PPR leagues.
Last night also showed nothing has seemingly changed as far as Julio Jones getting in the end zone, further frustrating owners who invested a #1 pick in him despite an otherwise dominant night.
Todd also has more on the Le’Veon Bell Bombshell and how Bell’s backup and/or handcuff is probably the only guy you drafted in the late rounds or picked up on waivers who deserves consideration as a starter this week.
Remember, Todd answers all your fantasy football questions at ToddWrightFantasyFootball@gmail.com. However, please do not ask Todd to pick your starting lineup. That’s like asking Todd to pick between Kyana and Rane at Hooters on 4th Street in St. Pete, where we had our second successful — and first-ever daily fantasy — Hooters event of the season last night. Congrats to two owners from Todd’s “Foundation” fantasy league for finishing first and third, while CJ from the podcast leagues came in second. All received prizes for their efforts from Hooters and Todd Wright Tour golf and everyone in attendance, including Mike Cairns from Spectrum Sports 360 on Bay News 9, received plenty of quality attention from Hooters manager Tony M., who also plays in Todd’s GOLFF podcast league.

Update.
Joe isn’t sure what this means. [read more]

Interesting take on Fitz
One thing driving Joe nuts is the narrative that Ryan Fitzpatrick is the backup quarterback filling on Sunday.
No, through the 2018 training camp and preseason, months of prep for opening day, Fitzpatrick has been the clear starting QB. He’s been the guy from Day 1. [read more]

Ever since Drew Brees and Sean Payton joined forces in 2006, NFL defensive coordinators haven’t slept soundly heading into Saints week.
In the past 12 seasons, New Orleans has ranked sixth or better in total offense every year, including six No. 1 finishes. Seven times in that span the Saints boasted a Top 5 scoring attack. [read more]
