“Dear football gods, please make sure the Glazers know I don’t call high school lateral plays when needing a score from the Falcons 20 yard line, or fake punts in the second quarter.”
It appears the Bucs coaching staff would benefit from a PODS discount code after this season. Tampa Bay is on a 9-18 run and a lot is going wrong.
But what about the guy who buys the groceries? (more…)

Dirk Koetter says the Bucs are mired in a depressing pattern this season.
Make that 11 seasons.
Koetter was referring to Tampa Bay’s habit of falling far behind in the opening half, only to stage a comeback bid that falls short. We’ve seen that play out against the Steelers, Falcons, Bengals and Panthers while the Bucs dropped 5-of-6 after a 2-0 start.
The overarching pattern, however, is far more depressing. The playoff drought is almost certain to reach 11 years and another regime change appears likely.
This team has changed defensive coordinators and quarterbacks, yet the losing continues. (more…)
A quick look at the first halves of Dirk Koetter’s three seasons as head coach: 3-5, 2-6, 3-5.
Joe is not a big believer in coincidences. (more…)

Advice for Jameis
Father Dungy was on national radio this morning talking about the great disappointment he is certain that is being felt inside the walls of One Buc Palace. (more…)
It’s one thing for a starting QB to get benched for a journeyman quarterback when he’s having a garbage game.
It’s quite another thing for the journeyman to step in and light up the scoreboard on the road in just over one quarter of action and tie the score with seconds to play. (more…)

“What’s the market, Jason? You always want to know the market.”
Today, Jameis Winston hit rock bottom of his professional football career. (more…)

Warren Sapp weighs in.
Joe is not sure if it is just schtick or just two dudes being real but two former Bucs are not on the Vita Vea bandwagon. (more…)

“Monk, let Jameis sleep in today.”
In a game in which they were winning or tied for the majority of play against a Browns team that was terrible against the run before they arrived in Tampa, your beloved Buccaneers dropped back to pass 66 times and handed off just 22 times. (more…)
