    Previews Colts – Jaguars?

The Colts are about as close to being your AVERAGE NFL TEAM as any team in the league. They sport a 6-6 record. They rank #17 in offense and #15 in defense. Their offense is very BALANCED (51% passing – 49% rushing) and depends on their strong OLine. Brissett appears to be an ‘average’ QB in today’s NFL in terms of sporting a 64% completion percentage, effectively managing the short passing game, and mixing in just enough deep stuff to keep defenses honest. Most significantly, he doesn’t make many ‘mistakes’ (6 INTs in 12 games & he’s only fumbled 5 times all season).

Colts defense doesn’t get a bunch of takeaways (14 in 12 games) but they seem to be quite effective. In their 6 wins they’ve given up an average of 17.2 PPG, while in their 6 losses they’ve given up 25.7 PPG average. Significantly, Colts have lost 4 of the last 5 games & are riding a 2-game losing streak. During that 5-game stretch, Colts have turned it over 11 times. They’ve quite beatable, but the Bucs will need a solid game from BOTH our offense & our defense to win it.

So if Brissett is average at 64% what does that make Winston at 60%?
