“Tremendous Pride”

November 2nd, 2026

The Bucs had multiple goals yesterday against the Falcons.

One took center stage in the second half.

Closing out Atlanta and securing the shutout victory, 16-0.

Yes, the Bucs wanted the style points.

“Tremendous price,” cornerback Zyon McCollum responded when asked about the shutout. “Coaches are on us heavy throughout the second half. ‘It’s a zero-zero game no matter how much points get put on the board. That’s our mindset.’ That’s just how we see it.”

McCollum went on to say how the team has been “sharpening up on details” and now players understand their strengths and can play off each other better.

McCollum really has resurrected himself this season. He notched his second interception of the season and his ninth pass defensed, which ranks tied for fourth in the NFL. Fellow Bucs starting cornerback Jacob Parrish leads the league with 13 passes defensed.

And that’s how a killer instinct is born. The great teams know that taking your foot off the throat of the opponent is how you lose, and that goes for offense and defense. All facets have to maintain that philosophy throughout every game!

  2. DS Says:

The defense is just good especially the corners who is the db coach ? Bucs DBs have really been getting beat these days

  3. So Cal Bucs Fan Says:

Zero to zero mindset is what I tell my 6 to 7 year old flag football team.

Zero is what I tell myself my financial security is in life.

Zero knowing what tmw has in store.

This is a championship mindset and something all men should carry in life.

Keep praying, keep working hard and keep pushing because ZERO is promised.

  4. Fire The Cannons & Fire Todd Says:

I just hope these good defensive performances are not wasted with a pitiful offense.

As much as I love winning, I feel like their 3 wins have been smoke n mirrors. Bucs took advantage of two awful run defenses in Carolina and Dallas. Then yesterday Mother Nature helped by making passing difficult for ATL.

  5. Thomas Edrington Says:

Five year extension for Todd Bowles!!!!!!!!!!!!! (scary)

  6. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

We’ve got a combined 47 PBUs as a team and it ranks 3rd in the NFL right now.

Zyon & JP have 22 of those 47.

We’ve been getting some good play from the back end of this defense so far this season. Pass D hasn’t been so “putrid” this year has it?

the PLAYERS are doing a great job getting this team back on track – guys like Anzalone Parrish Irving Gainwell – the whole team as a unit – Jerry Jones appeared on TV yesterday unafraid to speak to the press about his own responsibility for the mess in Dallas – meanwhile Fleet Street and MI6 are dispatching reporters and agents across the Atlantic to search for clues in the murder of Manchester United – the suspects have fled the scene – I also noticed that Jason Licht came out of the closet yesterday and was sidling up to Bucky Irving on camera (or was it Gainwell?) to bask in some reflected glory – I think Licht is in this for more than the money – I think he likes being around men .. masculine, athletic men – he likes looking at them, being close to them , a real man’s man – in fact I have never seen him photographed with a woman

  8. Marine Buc Says:

Since this summer – my number one criticism of this defense was the DB depth and the starting DBs.

I did not trust ZM due to his lackluster performance in 2025.

I did not trust Ben-Mo due to his lackluster performance and injury history.

AWJ has under-performed his current contract.

I liked Jacob Parrish and T. Smith – and they continue to perform very well for us.

  9. can-we-get-rid-of-Licht-for-godsake? Says:

uhh Joe .. is it “price” or “pride” ? that typo makes for a confusing article – pride and price imply two different things – I assume it is “pride”

  10. Boyntonbucs561 Says:

The secondary has really cleaned up tackling also. We won how we won due to conditions but we are really starting to come together. Go Bucs

  11. #1bucsfan Says:

Never understood the hate this guy got. He was a 5th rd pick who worked his way up and worked to get paid. He had one bad season last year which shoot the whole team did and everyone hates the dude. So glad he’s shutting the haters up. Many of yall called him trash and that’s coming from fans who have never taken a snap in the nfl. 🤦‍♂️

  12. SB~LV 🏈 Says:

I saw Minefield slacking instead of cracking on several plays.
He is coasting, I would send him packing before the trade deadline

Fan manufactured talking points, based less off film or even gauging Zyon off his play relative to his peers and just being loud and wrong for the sake of talking crap.

  14. stpetebucsfan Says:

I find this amusing, it’s what I expected. Panic is just beginning to rear it’s ugly head.

Many here wish that Todd Bowles and now apparently Jason Licht get fired.

If this team reaches the playoffs and wins in the first round those two jobs are safe!

So imagine the angst with the Bowles/Licht haters! They’re “Bucs fans” but their hatred of Bowles puts them in the position of having to root against the Bucs.

“Five year extension for Todd Bowles!!!!!!!!!!!!! (scary)”

That’s doubtful even if Todd goes deep into the playoffs. I think what the Bowles haters really mean if the team wins they’ll honor Bowles remaining two years. I feel sorry for all the guys whose hatred of Bowles exceeds their love of the Bucs and they need the team to LOSE in order to get their new coach.

Glad I’m not in that quandary. Todd needs to win the Division and a first round playoff game. If he does that he deserves next year’s deal to be honored.

  15. Buddha Says:

The games against Chicago and Detroit will likely determine our coach’s future. What an odd tenure he has endured, never having an offensive coordinator for 2 years in succession.

  16. McBay Says:

Bears are vulnerable in the passing game to backs and TEs, apparently their LBs aren’t much in pass coverage. And upon further review, their run defense isn’t as dominant as stats lead one to believe.

Trust the process, enjoy the journey.

  17. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

A lot of people here have some crow to eat regarding Bowles’ defense.

Also, Alex Anzalone IS a good player. In your face ‘football experts’.

  18. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I honestly do not believe Todd will coach another year. I think he’ll retire after this season if he can end it on a high note.

So, as I’ve been saying: Let’s be entertained and see some winning on the way to that.

And, to those who say no to Tomlin…you are the same people who claimed Alex Anzalone is a bad player. Forgive me if I disagree again.

  19. Simple T Says:

“We’ve been getting some good play from the back end of this defense so far this season. Pass D hasn’t been so “putrid” this year has it?”

We sure have…. And it must make the trolls sick (and probably at least one of the joes)…… Turns out that Swiss cheese may be cheddar after all.

Waiting for Rod or another idiot to claim Todd listened to them and went heavy man to man and that’s what fixed the D 🤣

  20. Steve V Says:

Winning gets everyone on the bus ,the Magic Bus whoooohooo!

  21. Steve V Says:

Meaningful games in December here we come!!

  22. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

“Turns out that Swiss cheese may be cheddar after all.”

Both are acceptable burger toppers btw

  23. Defense Rules Says:

Bonzai … ‘A lot of people here have some crow to eat regarding Bowles’ defense. Also, Alex Anzalone IS a good player. In your face ‘football experts’.

I’m not at all sure what a ‘football expert’ is Bonzai; a friend of mine used to define an ‘expert’ as ‘someone from out of town’ (took me awhile to understand what he meant). I am pretty sure though that the Bucs’ defense wasn’t nearly as good in 2024 & 2025 as what we’re now seeing in 2026.

And I agree that Anzalone has become a good player for us, but he played bordered on terrible in his first few games here. I remember commenting back then that Alex is a product of 4-3 defenses, and he might be struggling with Bowles’ hybrid 3-4 defense (from an ILB perspective). Probably a lot different being 1-of-3 as opposed to being 1-of-2 and having to cover more ground. I think he’s figured it out.
