UPDATE: YaYa Diaby Has An MCL Sprain

November 2nd, 2026

MRI results are in.

[UPDATE: 12:38 p.m.] Yesterday, Joe spoke with Bucs outside linebacker YaYa Diaby, who, for a guy with a knee injury, looked reasonably well and seemed rather chipper.

Joe asked him if he expected to miss any time with the injury. YaYa told Joe, “I shouldn’t.”

But he will.

Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, YaYa has a “Grade 2 MCL sprain.” YaYa will miss time, Rapoport typed, but will returned “in a matter of weeks.”

Earlier today, Rapoport stated preliminary tests on YaYa suggest he suffered an MCL sprain in the first half of yesterday’s rock-grinding win over the Dixie Chicks. He’s scheduled to have an MRI to get more precise information.

Joe can say that usually a guy with a knee injury needs something to walk with soon after it happens. YaYa was not using any sort of apparatus like crutches or a cane. Joe also didn’t notice a limp.

And if you watch the postgame locker room celebration during KitKat-eating Bucs coach Todd Bowles’ postgame talk, YaYa is standing in the background behind A’Shawn Robinson wearing a huge smile.

Rest up Yaya, come back as healthy as possible.

Sit him against Chicago, plus bye week and he should be fine. Joe, do you know if we will get Jalen McMillan back after the Bye? Dear Lord we need him and Emeka

    David Walker GOT 0 SNAPS

DW didn’t appear in the Falcon’s game. Is he hurt or sick?

umm SlyPirate … you usually put up pretty good stuff on JBF but ..
    David Walker :
    25 of 53 (47%) of defense snaps
    16 (76%) of ST snaps

  6. can-we-get-rid-of-Licht-for-godsake? Says:

with Walker Nelson Muhammad Bain should be fine –
Diaby played only 7 (13%) of snaps in ATL and is not on ST

Lol sly was being. Smart ssa… but just like with yaya in his rookie year, when you start giving guys more snaps, less production is what usually follows.. happened with yaya, JTS, and hopefully Not walker.. people just need to let guys develop and not just say hey lets give these guys all the snaps
