I don’t know why Zach Robinson doesn’t run more gap schemes on his runs. The offensive line cannot run these wide zone concepts.
Coen tried to run the mid zone concepts in 2024 with the same offensive line and they struggled. He switched it back to gap scheme and then their run game jumped!!!!
Why doesn’t Robinson realize this? He talks to Cohen. I’m sure every day. You would have thought Cohen would have probably told him that.

Gainwell needs to be out there in motion on these first drives every game to help his rookie QB. Whether he touches the ball or not, send him out with Bucky then motion he and Otton out wide to the boundary side creating a trips bunch to force the defense to show its cards on what moves the nickel, LBs and safeties. Then layer the rest of you game plan accordingly. When he says he wants someone to utilize his deep skill set this is what I think he means. That is a starting point. Send out a FB (Kieft or Sharpe)- does that get your opponent to go heavy with an extra LB?
