“It Starts, 100 Percent, With Me”

October 7th, 2026

Offensive woes on him.

Look, Joe thinks KitKat-eating Bucs coach Todd Bowles has done a poor job since the Bucs’ bye week last week.

The Bucs are 2-11 in their last 13 games and haven’t covered one of them (last week’s game was a push), a modern NFL record. If that doesn’t scream “underperformance,” Joe doesn’t know what does.

And when you are 2-11, there’s no way to spin that. It’s bad. Very bad.

One thing Joe will defend Bowles on is Joe always reads comments on this here website and hears callers to WDAE radio that Bowles has no accountability.

Joe doesn’t understand that at all. He always says “We have to coach it better.” If that’s not taking accountability, then Joe doesn’t know what accountability is.

And he’s not wrong.

The sad thing for Bowles is — aside from his edge rush, which is going to doom him both on and off the field — is that his hand-picked offensive coordinator is dragging him down with him.

Zac Robinson has been truly awful, and the offense isn’t getting any better. Joe swears Robinson may be worse than ill-suited Marcus Arroyo in 2014 because Arroyo, outside of Vincent Jackson and rookie Mike Evans, had nothing to work with.

Robinson has talent all up and down the roster to work with.

The Bucs have scored, in four games, 27, 19, 16 and 14 points. That’s going the wrong way.

To Robinson’s credit, he came out yesterday in his weekly press conference and owned up to it. Wanna throw rocks at the Bucs, Robinson said, he’s the target for the offense.

“Yeah, it has not been good enough,” Robinson said. “It starts with me, 100 percent. …

“It’s been very tough for us to have a chance as an offense at the end of these games to close it out. That’s what you want, and that’s what our guys want – those moments. So, for us not to be able to close the game out on our terms has been tough. Again, it starts with me. …

“Certainly [it] has not been good enough. Again, it starts 100 percent with me.”

Well, you cannot use the excuse that guys didn’t get enough snaps in the worthless preseason — last week Joe asked Robinson if that was an issue and he said he didn’t believe it to be. The Bucs have four games under their belts.

But by the fourth week of the season, an offense should be on the upside when it comes to scoring, not the opposite. (Yes, Joe knows the Bucs now have an undrafted rookie quarterback at the wheel.)

Right now the Bucs should be entering tryouts for 2027. Watch and see who on offense may start freelancing or making business decisions. Those guys, once identified, should be shipped out next spring.

Zac! You’re doing great, man. We know it’s part of the long term plan. It’s hard to win in the NFL and it takes time when you work with a mastermind to implement his genius.

You go, Zac! You go, Zac!

  2. Tye Says:

Only the truly naive and most gullible are being duped to believe the Bucs are trying to be in with a udfa at QB…… Come on… 50 whatever years of football history…. Bucs and trying to win with a scab at QB….. It is at an embarrassing level to be a Bucs fan….

  3. Rocky Says:

Yeah as usual one of the Joes tries to find anything to defend Bowles. Forget the offense, just ask him once why it has been 5 years and players still cant communicate right, are never in the right position, or cant understand the defense? Why are edge rushers playing cb and cb covering some invisible receiver 5-10 yard from the line if scrimmage? This is the issue not that he chose the wrong OC. .

  4. Bartow Buc Says:

Let’s hope by some miracle our Bucs are ready for a win against the Cowboys on Prime Time !!

    Coach em up Zac !!

    Go Bucs !!

  5. Smoke Porterhouse Says:

Todd Bowles, Mr. Accountable! Now if he could only win a game.

  6. Bucslosecoverthestadium Says:

If the Bucs need to score to win they can’t. If the Bucs need a stop to win they can’t. That can keep it close but they can’t closet it out. Our someone will make 1 mistake to many to lose. Every play counts every second counts. This team cherishes nothing. No sense of urgency just this calm confidence that can’t win games. It’s a 3-28 Bucs life!

I remember when Koetter was forced to fire Smitty in the 2018 season. I could see Zac R going down the same path though in this situation, it could be Bowles cutting him loose after the Dallas game or during the bye to take the pressure off of himself.

Joe, I think you are mixing up real accountability rather than fake accountability. Fake accountability is when someone like Bowles, Dan Campbell or Baker Mayfield take responsibility for a failure but then continue to do the same thing over and over again instead of adapting. What makes Bowles even worse than Baker and Campbell is that the guy has been known to throw others under the bus such as Josh Grizzard. While Baker and Campbell are incredibly stubborn they have neve thrown players or coaches under the bus like Bowles has. He has been spewing the same stale message, loss after loss, changes have been made but the one common denominator is Bowles himself. Joe, in all due respect, Bowles should have been launched a long time ago and everyday he remains on this team, the longer it will take to get the rebuild underway. The Bucs will become, actually have become, Tennessee South and will remain that until Bowles is gone. He is worse than Lovie Smith in his arrogance and how much do you bet he will go to the dang injury card again when the Glazers call him in for his parting gifts and home version of the game. Hopefully, the Glazers will finally cut the cord.

This is the type of thing the media in Tampa does to insulate the powers that be in order for them to keep their access to the team.

The time to rub Todd’s belly and tell him that it is okay he ate the entire family sized box of KitKats is over.

It’s like we’re experiencing Groundhogs day all over again.

    I guess 2-11 isn’t enough for them. Let’s go for 2-21 or even 2-24.

Maybe that would shake them back into coherence.

  9. Leopold Stotch Says:

I think the reason why the no accountability is an issue is because he says “We” and not “I”. I get it he’s just one coach, and it’s a team, but when things are going bad it’s “I” and when things are going well, it’s “We” just like Trotter did before.

  10. Smoke Porterhouse Says:

It’s not what you say, anybody can lie, it’s what you do. We know Bowles is lying because nothing has changed.

  11. calling out the lies Says:

I qas very happy to watch Ira’s podcast where both joes called out Bowles and Zac. Ira pretty much agreed so they did not sugar coat it either. Watch it before calling them out. Today we call out the truth. It is past time to clean house

  12. Teacherman Says:

Egbuka came back to too soon.

He’s very slow bc of his toe.

Godwin aggravated his ankle again. He’s slowed down also

McMillan re-hurt his neck. Watch the replay.

    Tez Johnson is 160 pounds.

And Ted Hurst is à rookie.

Ànd Cade Otton is very small and not fast.

Gainwell can’t block on 3rd down.

And our interior offensive line sucks.

    Hence, our terrible offense.

  13. Fred McNeil Says:

Look, the defense is playing better if you ignore the pass rush, but I still honestly believe that had Daniels miraculously scored on 4/11 with the minute and a half that remained the defense would still have missed enough tackles and blown enough coverages for the Pack to score again. Vita Via sux at pass coverage.

  14. can-we-get-rid-of-Licht-now-please Says:

Zac Robinson : “Blah, blah, blah .. blah, blah.”
