Rueben Bain Primed For Return (Official Injury Report)

October 6th, 2026

Miami Mauler rookie edge rusher Rueben Bain has only played in Weeks 1 and 2. He was incredibly overwhelming.

When Joe saw Bain against the Bengals on opening day, Joe quickly reacted that Bain must be hurt. He played in Week 2 and then his summer shoulder injury re-appeared as did a new groin issue. While the Bucs haven’t announced Bain will play on Thursday in Dallas, it seems he’ll be ready to go.

While the Bucs aren’t practicing this week (no NFL team does on a short week), the official injury report says he would be full-go if the Bucs were practicing.

Joe can’t wait to see Bain back on the field. He and the other young Bucs could be the only fun thing left in the 2026 campaign.

It will be awesome to see him get out there so out BS coach can tell him to go hug a O lineman or maybe drop into a zone so we can focus on coverage.

  20. Hodad Says:

I hope they’re not rushing him back trying to save their job’s? I don’t trust Bowles, or our training staff when it comes to player injuries. Mcmillan was good to go, one play he’s on I.R..

  21. Capt.Tim Says:

    “Incredibly overwhelming”?
    Sure he was!
And the “Offensive line is a top 5 line. A team strength”
And “Wide receiver Room might be a league best”.
And “Bucs should walk away with NFC South. They are Poised for a deep playoff run.

I can’t help but wonder what some people are looking at.
I see a really bad GM. He’s built a really bad team, and handed it to a horrible Coach. Despite finishing on a gut wrenching 10 game losing streak last season, our GM decided to upgrade . . . Nothing.
And the coach who guided them to that cataclysmic collapse changed . . .
    Nothing

Now our all pro QB is trapped behind a line that can’t pass block. Trying to throw to WRs who dont get open. Or to stone handed TEs.

Or, our talented Cornerbacks have to chase world class track stars forever. Because this team cannot rush the QB. Nothing. Just absolutely pathetic.
And our Linebackers cannot cover RBs or TEs.

I haven’t seen one second of “Incredibly overwhelming” from anyone.
Especially not the rookie Bain. Which is fine. He’s a rookie.

  22. Ryan Says:

Lakeland again layoff the heavy drugs

  25. Smoke Porterhouse Says:

He has as many sacks as Conrad Bain, and didn’t star in Different Strokes like the guy Conrad Dobler was named after.

  26. Hodad Says:

Lakeland has to be team AI bot. Bucs look great! Have a wonderful day!

  27. BucfaninMi Says:

    Kicker is out Thursday.

  28. ‘74 Bucs Fan Says:

Bain is doing fine doing “other things”. What is the problem? Coach ‘em up Bowles to accomplish all those other things besides touching the QB.

  29. ModHairKen Says:

    All hype, no results.

  30. Erik with Unique Modern Art Says:

    David Walker > Bain

  31. Tired Says:

Yawn. Maybe he’ll double his total tackles for the season and get another one.

  32. Fishhawkbuc Says:

Bain is an entitled thug. He is getting ragedolled by grown men in the NFL. Then claims to be injured, which take us back to entitlement.

  33. Nicholas Carlson Says:

Can we get a feed of just Bain, Walker, and Trotter?

  34. Steve V Says:

@Fishawk! ..WOW! tell us how you really feel!
    …Nice

  35. BucFanDave in The OC Says:
