A Perfect Example Of Terrible Coaching

Stubborn to the bitter end.
Good coaches roll with the punches. They don’t wait until halftime. They don’t wait until there is a dead-ball foul or a timeout. They adjust at worst on the next series or the very next play.
Byron Leftwich demonstrated today that not only is he a bad offensive coordinator, a bad-playcaller, but he’s incapable of recognizing the situation at hand and adjusting.
And that, boys and girls, is the very essence of coaching.
First, Leftwich did a great big “F’ You” to all Bucs fans to start the game when he called his favorite play, a play that time after time after time after time had failed this season: a run up the middle.
Leftwich was getting roasted last week, deservedly, for running too much and running up the middle in particular. So how did Leftwich demonstrate that he is a changed man? He ran up the middle on his first play!
But here is where Joe threw in the towel on Leftwich: When the Bucs did make changes, bringing in Nick Leverett at left guard midway through the first quarter and beginning to hand off to Rachaad White, the Bucs were actually getting good yardage up the middle.
Hey, maybe Leftwich woke up? Maybe he’s adjusting, trying new things and finding something that works? Progress!
Nope.
On a critical third-and-one in the third quarter, with Luke Goedeke back in at left guard, what does Leftwich do? He calls for Playoff Lenny up the middle. No gain.
You would think, with the Bucs into their seventh game of the season and never showing any ability to run up the middle with Goedeke at left guard and Playoff Lenny plunging into the line, that Leftwich might rub his chin and say to himself, “Maybe running Lenny up the middle is really a wasted play?”
Nope. Leftwich doesn’t learn. He doesn’t adjust. Meanwhile, the Bucs’ offense isn’t just burning, it is a five-alarm blaze.
Joe has no idea how much longer Leftwich will hold onto his job. But Joe isn’t naive, either. Unless there is a major infusion of talent before the trade deadline, or unless foot-rubbing Rob Gronkowski has a change of heart, this offense will not improve much as long as Leftwich is in charge.
After today, Joe’s done with Leftwich. Enough is enough.

No I don’t want Trask as our QB I want a young, innovative offensive coordinator and a qb that can pass and run. F the Arians philosophy it worked for two seasons but it’s quickly becoming obsolete.

The sad part is that Leftwich actually did try a bunch of new stuff today, at least in terms of the order of his playcalling. He’s just not any good, and has no feel.
Next week the Bucs need to let Brady run a hurry up offense, and completely cut Leftwich out of the game.

If you want Brady to stay in Tampa beyond this year, get Payton. That might be the only way it happens.

They predicted this, and a total team implosion to come.
That was the Carolina Panthers, a terrible team. WE have just made two of the worst teams in the NFL look like Super Bowl Teams these last two weeks!

I said last week to give Trask a chance and now it’s time, but they won’t. Brady is sucking because he’s scared playing behind a garbage O line that has given up. In the second half the defense gave up too. This is arguably the worst offense I’ve seen in forever. Every Buc offense in the last 20 years has been better than this. Time for TB12 to hang it up. It’s getting worse, not better and Gage totally sucks. This is sad and embarrassing.

Nahhh, this was not the coaching. This was all on the players guys. Missed blocking assignments, dropped balls , brady off on many passes, and defense that could not stop toilet paper. Go ahead and blame the coaches. If it makes you feel better. But Carolina balled. They beat us badly, and that bout sums it up. This game, losing the Panthers says it all…Not this year. No superbowl. Maybe not even playoffs.

I have criticized TB12 in the past, especially his atrocious first 3 quarters against the Rams in the NFC playoff game.
The Bucs losing is not solely dependent on TB12’s performance, but TB12 is not playing at the same level that he was the past two seasons, and that is one of the reasons why the Bucs are losing.
The Bucs are losing because Goedeke and Hainsey are a burning pile of elephant manure who’s horrendous OLINE play has effected the Bucs ability to run and pass the ball.
The Bucs are losing because the OC is not calling a successful game.
The Bucs are losing because the defensive line is getting dominated at the point of attack.
The Bucs are losing because their defense can’t get off of the field and stop teams from scoring, and their offense can’t sustain drives and score.
The Bucs are losing because Todd Bowles is the head coach and is ultimately responsible for everything.

That throw that Evans dropped looked like Brady threw a pretty good ball. When they went no huddle Brady looked pretty good.
If “Playoff” Lenny can get a yard on 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1 do you blame Brady?
Maybe if Chris Godwin had the speed he did when he came out of Penn State he’d wouldn’t have had to dive could have gotten past the corner and ran into the end zone.
Brady threw a high ball to Evans but it looked like Evans timed it wrong and didn’t jump at the right time. Ball went off his fingertips.
I agree that Brady is bailing out and checking down more than he has but the top weapons he has, Evans, Godwin and Fournette are not making big plays like in past seasons.

It all starts at the top and while the glazers aren’t the worst owners in the league, they aren’t good either. Since it’s wishful thinking to expect them to sell our team that’s lining their pockets and sucking so much out of our community with their ridiculously one sided stadium deal, I’ll settle for a clean sweep of the coaching staff after the year.

Byron deserves a lot of the blame. I get it, in fact I was one of the first to say he was a quack. But quite a bit also falls on Jason Licht. How tf do you replace Ali Marpet and Ryan Jensen with o linemen from our practice squad and expect Brady to put up MVP numbers??? Also, doesn’t the GM make coaching decisions? He elevated Bowles to HC and was totally fine with Byron replacing Bruce as the play caller. Seriously, is this guy on cocaine???!!!
