Chucky was among those talking before last night’s Bucs-Panthers game about how America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, gets too amped up before games and it leads to bad starts.

Well, Jameis is going to be Jameis. “Real recognize real,” as he likes to say. And that’s just fine with Joe. Jameis can lead in whatever way it comes naturally to him, and then chill out when he gets in the huddle for the first time.

Lots of guys in the NFL flick switches — from calm to manbeast, or from pregame lunatic to calm and measured on the field.

Last night, Jameis was his usual eyes-bulging, fired-up pregame self. The JoeBucsFan.com cameral caught Jameis before kickoff.

I am not religious, but some of my football friends are. Some of them said that Sims getting placed on injured reserve was a gift to Tampa, from God Almighty.
Had he been healthy, we would have started Sims, and would not have won that game. Rogers won that game for us, by running all over Carolina, and catching clutch passes when we needed it. Yes, it was a team win, but w/o his running, we would not have won.
Ira Kaufman, myself, and several other posters here have been screaming for Tampa to use him more. Tonight, we got our wish! Is he as good as Doug Martin ? Not quite, but he is by far the best running back we have right now. With a running game, Jameis showed his stuff, and his connection with Mike Evans.
IMHO, Jameis really matured tonight, on National TV. We are undefeated in the division right now, with a win over the division leader. We never quit, and came together as a team tonight, with an impressive win, in hostile territory.
Koetter’s offense is a real bitch to stop, but it all depends on a running game.

Great performance by the defense and Mike Smith tonight. That was improvement, were are used to being shredded by Derrick Anderson and co.

2-3 is what I hoped for with these tough first 5 games. it’s all downhill from here. These next 2 weeks, the 49ers game should be a breeze and If we come out against the Raiders with that scared conservative offense we displayed tonight, don’t expect a win. The Raiders game needs to be a shootout cause they are agreesive on offense. Carr vs Winston.

Jameis needs to improve his accuracy big time going forward. Most of his incompletions in the last three weeks were reminiscent of Freeman. Missing wide open targets because of poor mechanics or simply terrible accuracy cannot happen when we are already so full of holes.
