“They’ll Fight Early And The Bears Will Run Away With It Late”
November 6th, 2026
One reasoned and seasoned analyst sees the Bucs having no chance to win on Sunday night because they’re not a good team.
Tampa Bay will have to showcase every facet of its offense against the mighty Bears (6-2) in Chicago, says former Pro Bowl cornerback and Super Bowl champion Aqib Talib, and the Bucs simply don’t stack up.
“Ain’t going to be no 7 to 10-pass game; it’s going to be regular Baker [Mayfield]. We’re going to see regular Baker throwing that ball around,” Talib said today on Gridiron.
“Baker might light it up, man, but I just think in this part of the season right here, first or second week in November, when the good teams, they start to take off. They start to build them winning streaks.
“Them trash teams start to pack it, like man, we ain’t doing sh*t. We start to hang out a little bit more and enjoy the money that you’re making. You understand? The Bears are a good team coming off a big win. This is around the time where they’re going to put these wins together. You start to lock in around this time.”
Talib thinks the Bucs are still hungry and can win the NFC South at 8-9, but that “doesn’t mean they’re a good team.”
“[Chicago] will win this game 27-17 or 24-14, a nice easy 10-point win,” Talib said. “[The Bucs] will fight early and the Bears will run away with it late.”

This is probably an accurate assessment.

Good take overall from Talib. As fare as this week’s prediction, well, it is just a prediction. That’s why they play the game.
Tampa!
November 6th, 2026 at 2:07 pm
I hope the bears think the same thing about the Buccaneers! Trap game!
November 6th, 2026 at 2:08 pm
Unless our defense folds early, I don’t see us giving up the fight.
November 6th, 2026 at 2:11 pm
Bears have gotten better however Bucs have gotten better too I think the bears win because we have a terrible passing game
November 6th, 2026 at 2:15 pm
They are who we thought they were!! And we ain’t letting them off the hook! GO BUCS!!
November 6th, 2026 at 2:17 pm
It’s def reasonable.
If you can hold the bears to 24 points in their building that’s something. But the offense would have to score 25, and the only way we can do that is to run for 600 yards. Don’t see that happening.
November 6th, 2026 at 2:19 pm
Aqib Talib is my spirit animal. Bad teams like the Bucs lose in November.
Real teams with a competent HC and great QB win these games.
3-6 at the bye is an absolute guarantee. Pathetic.
And we know what happens after the bye, another long sustained losing streak.
Toilet Bowels will probably get extended with a raise. The Glazers are exactly that stupid.
November 6th, 2026 at 2:22 pm
Don’t abandon the run but don’t rely on it….we need turnovers to win this game….
November 6th, 2026 at 2:22 pm
I’m a Bucs fan but I’ve never been more sure of a Bears victory than any other game they’ve played this season. I see Baker getting sacked three times and throwing one interception and easily losing by ten. Hell, they just put up 34 on Seattle and they are a much better team than the Bucs. Sigh.
November 6th, 2026 at 2:24 pm
The Bucs are a really bad team, that has figured out how to win by playing to their Strengths
And they ain’t got many!
Our QB is trying to play without using the thumb on his damaged throwing hand.
Because he can’t use the thumb. He said in an interview this week, that he was told his thumb wouldn’t be normal until the off season.
We can’t play the undrafted Rookie- because after a couple games, the league saw he doesn’t have the arm strength for the NFL. Can’t throw out patterns.
That’s it for him
They can’t pass Block at all. Barton and Bredesen get thrown back like Ragdolls. Mauch is improving every week, but still weak.
Our WRs are the worst in the League. I really hope Hurst develops. He’s the only one showing skill. Godwin looks bad, and has a couple videos of him flat walking away from plays he should have been a part of. He’s horrible this year.
Ebuka hasn’t been seen since week 8 last year. MacMillian is still potential. Yeah, still.
Our defense can’t get any pressure on the QB, at all, unless they Blitz.
Lucky for them, we have a fantastic Secondary. They can hold up when we blitz.
That’s covering for an inferior DLine.
But WE CAN Run. And if we blitz, we can play surprisingly good defense.
That may beat the bottom half of the teams in the league. But it won’t hold up against the good ones.
Never thought I’d say it. Talib is right
November 6th, 2026 at 2:43 pm
Talib shoots straight. Oops. I mean, his brother.
November 6th, 2026 at 2:53 pm
I just don’t see a passing game in the Bucs. They either don’t have the receivers or the OC does not use them well. Either way I just don’t see a passing game. The Bears will shut down the run and force Baker to beat them with the Receivers. I hope I am wrong and I have hope. However wisdom says the aforementioned
November 6th, 2026 at 3:00 pm
If the Bears lose the Bucs won’t get any national attention it will all go to the Bears for not showing up
November 6th, 2026 at 3:10 pm
TBBF … ‘Don’t abandon the run but don’t rely on it….we need turnovers to win this game’.
Agree 100% TBBF, but our key is still playing great DEFENSE. IF we falter there, we’re toast.
One of the things that our running game did this past Sunday was to wear down the Falcons’ defense as the game marched on. And our defense also wore down the Falcons’ offense as the game marched on. Sloppy field conditions obviously impacted what they could do, but nonetheless, they were beaten down by the end of the game. That’s a lot different than in our earlier games when WE were the ones beaten down as the game marched on.
Remember the Browns game when we were AHEAD 16-6 more than halfway thru the 3rd qtr, but then lost 23-19 (Browns outscored us 2 TDs plus 1 FG to our 1 FG in the last 20 mins or so). Same in the Steelers game when Bucs were ahead 16-3 late in the 3rd qtr, but the Steelers outscored us 1 TD plus 3 FG to our 1 FG in the last 20 mins of regulation to tie it, then they won in OT. Two games right there that we fizzled in the last 20 mins. Just those 2 games are the difference between being 3-5 vs 5-3.
November 6th, 2026 at 3:14 pm
Yeah this is not going to be another smashmouth 200+ rushing yard game like the last 2 weeks.
Did ya’ll see how well Simmons played in his first game with the Bears?
Nevermind Bowles’ record in prime time games, or Baker’s record in prime time games, or the Bucs org in prime time games…
I would be absolutely shocked and floored if we got the W this week. If that happens, I will have full faith restored in this team, and even in Bowles somehow. But I just don’t see it.

Aquib Talib is a prick and unfair most of the time. In this case he’s partly right. They are good but the problem is they’re not good enough to seriously contend. What’s missing is a passing game that doesn’t threaten opposing defenses. If they develop that, they’ll take the next step to being a serious contender.
November 6th, 2026 at 4:15 pm
If only this team had WRs that showed up when it counted …. That will be the difference, it will come down to WRs holding on to the ball in critical situations. I hope they prove me wrong, but they have been absolute trash.
November 6th, 2026 at 4:15 pm
Someone who can’t speak in regular, standard, and correct English has,p no business being in media. If he iz not smart enough to know correct grammar and usage he is not smart enough to judge a football team.

Simple T speaking on what he knows best. Butt gerbils. You’re a sicko man.
November 6th, 2026 at 4:17 pm
I’m not sure why, it I think this game is really gonna out the Bucs defense on the map nationally!!!
As long as Baker doesn’t kill is with stupid fumbles and interceptions hanging his defense out to dry.
Bucs secondary is super aggressive this year and Anzalone & Twitter have really solidified the interior LB positions. You just aren’t seeing opposing players wide-ass open these last several games…..passing lanes are much tighter this year.
If the Bucs can physically insert their will with some F-U offense and play action off of it, there’s going to be some wide open throws for Baker.
Just keep leaning on the run game & impose your will Bucs!!! LFG!!
November 6th, 2026 at 4:18 pm
Anzalone & Trotter..
Ughhhhhh!!!
November 6th, 2026 at 4:18 pm
Have very good defense! Will travel..

Talib has matured a lot! Bears will not win this game.
November 6th, 2026 at 4:20 pm
Talib says…“Them trash teams start to pack it, like man, we ain’t doing sh*t. We start to hang out a little bit more and enjoy the money that you’re making.
It has been said that is what players did under Morris. Guess Talib was one of them. Wonder if he has visited his brother in prison?
November 6th, 2026 at 4:24 pm
Wonder what the odds are our offense is ranked higher than our defense by season’s end? Wonder what the odds are our passing offense is ranked top 5 in the league by season’s end?
I love our defensive improvement. But I saw the second halves of our Browns and Steelers games. I saw Dak drive 97 yards in a minute of the 4th quarter. This defense has to show me that late game performance.
Otten, Hurst, Tez, Godwin, might catch 20 passes for 300 yards and 4 touchdowns on Sunday night. Our passing game is fixing to go off.
When our offense completely goes off, and it is going to, we’re gonna look like the best team in the league. And we are.

Success at running,keepn the D fresh,Keeping Williams a spectator
November 6th, 2026 at 4:38 pm
No networks, not anyone anywhere predicts us to win; so going by this, why would the score even be close at all. People talking like it’s gonna be a complete shout-out. When you have basically the entire world saying the bears will win, they will wind up losing.
November 6th, 2026 at 5:22 pm
If it comes down to coaching, the Bucs are screwed. No way Bowles outcoaches Ben Johnson. No way possible!! I watched Simmons in his first game with Chicago. He is beast! He set the tone for that win over Seattle. Now he’s had another week to practice with his new team and get to know his players around him. 27-13 Bears or 34-10 Bears if the Bucs mail it in after the third quarter.
November 6th, 2026 at 5:30 pm
don’t sleep on this bucs D people…
the team has developed…morphed into a weird hybrid animal of it’s old self…
we just might go in there and make the bears deep thro@t our run game…
bowles might make z-rob “keep doing the same damn thing”
to a jaw dropping national audience…
and the bears are vastly overrated…they are not elite…just very good
November 6th, 2026 at 5:51 pm
What Talib said is what Lovie Smith meant when he said (paraphrasing) that real football starts in November all those years ago.
Talib would be an excellent analyst on TV if he would stop instigating fights that end up getting people murdered. I think he’s spot on.
November 6th, 2026 at 6:20 pm
I say we’re gonna win. The defense has matured and will not fade in the 4th like before. Our offense needs to except that we’re a dink and dunk team. Successful dink and dunk makes the run game better and the deep ball possible.
November 6th, 2026 at 6:21 pm
Baker will be eating turf all night and throwing behind the line all night
November 6th, 2026 at 6:22 pm
I want you see Godwin come alive with 10 catches for 120 yards. It’s in there waiting to cone out.
November 6th, 2026 at 6:27 pm
The Bears better get ready to get smacked in the mouth on a littles less than 6 days rest. Counter runs go away from Simmons so he wouldn’t naturally be a factor in stopping them. Which is beautiful. Wirfs and Mauch are gonna flatten some dudes. And Sharp.
November 6th, 2026 at 6:37 pm
I think it could go pretty much any direction. If the Bucs OL and D show up again, it should be a fun game to watch.
November 6th, 2026 at 7:31 pm
He’s not wrong
November 6th, 2026 at 8:04 pm
exactly…none of this running up the middle right at simmons…
the outside runs are elite in a game like this…
the tight ends need to put in work and eat…
maybe even ko kieft might be getting itchy to get in on some of that de-cleating action 🙂
and i said it last week…they gotta feed godwin heavily in the pass game, like years ago…he has to become that grizzly vet who knows what to do in the short to mid passing game, while protecting that football as he gets banged around…if he raises up and gets involved, the receiver room might come to life a little more…CG has to lead the way…he is the room leader and vet…and he is not getting traded…bucs aren’t getting rid of mike and chris within an 8 game span, while having become one of the worst receiving rooms in the league…it just wouldn’t make sense right now…
occasional shots to tez down the field…and if you can trust in hurst’s hands, give him a few too…the eggman needs to wake up now too
November 6th, 2026 at 8:49 pm
Talib must have skipped all his English classes in college. I guess he does his best yakking with a gun in his hand.
November 6th, 2026 at 10:06 pm
Might be a good time for ZRob to watch how Payton used Taysom Hill as a running, throwing, catching TE/QB and create a set of plays for Sharpe that just might score some “WTF was that!?” points against Chicago? When you’re 3-5 and playing a team that just knocked out the reigning SB champs a week earlier it’s basically a playoff game now…no need to hold any trickery back for later in the year.
November 6th, 2026 at 11:32 pm
WE HAD A GREAT PASSING GAME TILL ZAC SHOWED UP . THEN IT WENT TO CRAP ! HE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO USE ARE RECIEVERS !: AT ALL. OR PASSING PLAYS . GODWIN IS NOT BEING USED AS WELL AS HURST , TEZ , AND EBUKA .NOT GOING TO HAPPEN AGAINST THE BEARS WITHOUT A GOOD PASSING GAME . V8
