Yes, Bucs fans, hope remains alive! The Bucs are not knocked out of a playoff run. Draft chatter is on hold.
And maybe, KitKat-eating Bucs coach Todd Bowles might have saved his job, for now. The Bucs upset the Cowboys on Thursday night football before the eyes of the nation.

This Bucs win may not mean a hill of beans a month from now, but Joe cannot remember a game in October that brought as much fun and joy to Joe as the Bucs on a short week, going down to Dallas and slapping around the Cowboys.

Joe remembers so many Bucs games when they went to Dallas and just got their rear ends whooped! So fun when everyone and their brother, including Joe, including Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit and the borderline worthless Kaylee Hartung didn’t have the words for the Bucs. They were so shocked.

Not kicking the fired goal to go up 3 scores was a firing offense on its own. Made absolutely no sense.

I don’t wish that on anyone, but at least someone else would have to coach our team instead of Todd the moron.
Another side note, I do wish Bowles and everyone good health. But he is a pretty fat boy, he should prob go on a diet at some point just for health purposes

For anyone who calls the Cowboys Americas Team, I say F*off. There are 32 teams, and 50 states in this country. Pretty sure 31 other teams and fans in this country would take issue with that term. Go Bucs for being Tampa’s team, which by the way is part of America!

Going for it on 4th and goal, up two scores and dominating TOP by more than double was absolutely the right choice. And I don’t think it was necessarily made by Bowles.

Let’s look at the logic to go for the TD there with 8 and a half minutes left or so. You would have to think that a 21 point lead with that little time left was so much more valuable than a 17 point lead, that you were willing to risk the sure 17 point lead and settle for a 14 point lead. Thus, you would have been basing your strategy on “what if” the other team scores 3 TDs in the last 8 and a half minutes….well, if we go for the TD here and get it, we go into overtime should that 3 TD scenario occur. Yes, this is the insanity behind the decision….you are playing based on the other team scoring three times in that little amount of time rather than playing with the confidence that your team can keep them from scoring three times in the last 8 minutes and change. Baffling.

W is the only stat I care about.
But let’s remember we are 1-4 and 3-11 in our last 14 games.
Bowles did all he could to lose the game but the Cowboys defense had other plans.

Not kicking the FG to go up 3 scores should get Bowles fired regardless of the outcome. But I want to go back to the end of the first half. It’s 3rd and 1. Sean Tucker has had success picking up short yardage earlier. Instead of taking some time and putting Tucker in, they go with a hurry up, forcing them to use whatever personnel was on the field from the last play (Gainwell?). Then because we hurried up, Wirfs takes a false start. Completely avoidable. A no gain play. Then we him haw around too long deciding if we want to kick a FG or not. Take the delay of game, turning a 61 yard FG into an unmakeable 66 yard FG. Then Cowboys get a FG, and instead of going into halftime 10-7 Bucs, it’s 10-7 Cowboys, a 6 point swing. Didn’t we make that exact same mistake at the end of the first half last week against the Packers?!?!?! How on earth can you take a delay of game penalty on the edge of field goal range in a tie game? Bowles should have been fired at halftime for that stunt!!!!! His game management is nowhere near professional level, simple as that.

There’s is zero explanation that would justify not kicking the field goal. You’re 0-4 and without question need a W. To make a decision like that can only be surmised as coaching incompetence. I’m happy the Bucs won. I have zero faith that this coaching staff is capable of making good football decisions. My lack of faith is based on historical evidence.

There is a lot of good and a little bit of bad about this game. But as much as I an a Bowles detractor, for the first time since the bye week it did NOT look like Bowles has lost this team.
As to Zac the hack. He called a great game but oline penalties are still ridiculous. They should be made to run wind sprints until they drop.

Trade baker to Minnesota now! 🤷🏾♂️ Daniels presence in the pocket is miles ahead of baker! He has command of the offense and we seen deep throws for once. When baker comes back he has literally one game to show he’s better than Daniels in my eyes. The offensive line played bad again tonight but Daniels found a way to win. Baker has no excuses let the qb controversy start!

Great game plan. Without penalties this would have been a blowout. Love Joe’s comments. Beating the Cowboy’s and Yankees on consecutive nights is ecstacy!

The silence ws deafening. I want to see us play Pittsburg now. We are far from being out of the celler. But great win.

Toilet Bowles should still get fired and hopefully he will be sooner or later this season or during the offseason. Him taking that 3 points off the board almost cost the Bucs another game they could have sealed going up by 17. Even lousy Lovie Smith would have had enough sense or either fear not to take the 3 and go up 17 and that’s saying something

Credit to Bowles and he should be proud of himself tonight. And regardless of the result and the analytics….i get why he went for it 4 and goal. He was trying to back up his offense and kind, make a statement by shutting out the game. If we’re 1-3 or 2-2 or even with a winning record he probably doesn’t make that call. He does his normal ‘play not to lose’ call. But for those players, he wanted them to punch in that ball and make a statement. I credit him for that
But this changes nothing. I would imagine we see a little bump in energy and juice, but we will finish with a top 10 pick this season.

Amazing how many fans don’t understand the game. Kicking the FG WOULD put the game away. It wasn’t aggressive. It was stupid. Maybe some of ya’ll will get it when Gruden explains it on his podcast.
