  1. NCbucfan Says:

If you want mediocre, Todd is your guy! Hoping he bucks the trend this year and takes us deep in the playoffs, but nothing about his history gives me confidence that will happen. Buck the trend Todd. Go Bucs!

  2. FortMyersDave Says:

Who can have confidence in Bowles as he is on a 2-8 run and has lacked the ability to make adjustments during games when it is obvious his defensive schemes are being exposed. Every Sunday, meh journeyman look like Canton candidates when they line up against Bowles’ D. This last Sunday it was aT E not known for making many catches, Gesicki. Who will it be for Cleveland, their TE Fannen, their RB, one of their new receives or will Watson look like Kurt Warner on the ’99 Rams. Plus the guy lacks killer instinct, he will play not to lose, not play to win. People wonder why Sunday’s game will not be a sellout? Well the number one reason is probably Bowles, the Glazers should have considered that when they refused to launch him.

  3. NCbucfan Says:

Bowles has a .452 career winning percentage as a HC. I’m not a crazy mathematician, but isn’t that slightly below average? So calling him mediocre is being generous.

  4. NCbucfan Says:

And just a fun fact. Mike Smith(every Bucs fan favorite D coorfinator)lol, had a .589 winning percentage as a HC. Just to put things in perspective.

  5. Knothead71 Says:

In one of the articles from yesterday @Joe asked if the Bucs looked like they were coached well last Sunday against the Bengals
I’ve been thinking about that question a lot.
When WAS the last time the Bucs looked well coached? Maybe week 5 or 6 last year?
I’ve vouced my opinion about Coach Bowles here many times over the last few years and I’m not shy about doing it again. My issue isn’t his personality, his complexion or any other such thing. My issue with Coach Bowles is, in my opinion he is not a good head coach.
I think he’s a better than average DC. But that’s his ceiling.
Disregard Anzalone’s performance last week. While he is a vet, he’s a new guy. We all know that’s a crap shoot. But how did we see such poor play out of Team Captains, pillars of the organization, guys that this team is built around?
There is a major problem at One Buc Palace and if the Glazers don’t get a handle on it right here quick this season is going to spiral out of control.
I hope I’m wrong. Nothing would make me happier that to have to apologize for my distrust in Bowles. “Just win, baby!”.

  6. Baker MayFumble Says:

17 weeks left until the Bucs hire a Limited Head Coach to “fix” baker mayfield because of his bloated contract

  7. Lakeland Says:

The way Todd Bowles keep the trash on the field
While quality players at the same positions sit the bench

I have to say Zero Confidence

  8. Lakeland Says:

Mike Smith was a better Head Coach than coordinator
That’s why it was dumb of Koetter to hire him as a DC
Smith made his mark as a LB coach with the Ravens
Then a DC with the Jacksonville Jaguars

Todd Bowles is a good DC
But he’s a poor Head Coach, Jim Schwartz Raheem Morris the same

  9. Drunk Bucs Fan Says:

The nicest thing I could think to do was vote Little Confidence because I think we will win tomorrow.

To be honest guys, you know I am a pom-pom guy but tomorrow scares the hell out of me.

  10. mj Says:

Raheem gets more out of his defenses than Todd does… hey at least he ‘talks’ to Bake about his turnovers, i mean that’s something

Todd: pros his players like him
    he’s calm at the helm

cons: his defense is over complicated and many times gets caught with it’s pants down and is consistently ranked bottom of the league
his teams play down to rookie qbs sub par competition they seem disorganized unprepared unable to overcome injuries, his clock management is better but hes still conservative, his offenses beside the coen year are stuck in the mud, his players are not playing up to their potential… that’s the worst sign… 2-10 with this roster?

  11. Bucfan593 Says:

It’s little confidence solely because he is too rigid to change and adapt to game or specific player situations.

  12. Hodad Says:

Bottom line is 75% of fans don’t seem to think Bowles will lead the Bucs any further than he has. That usually don’t bode well for ticket sells. We’ll see what kind of turnout we get tomorrow.

  13. Lefty_R Says:

No Confidence and should be fired immediately!!

  14. Lefty_R Says:

No Confidence and should be fired immediately!!

  15. TB05 Says:

The Bills fired Sean McDermott this offseason. Let that sink in.

  16. CosmoKramer Says:

I’m going to shock the world with this opinion. Zero confidence!!!

Win or lose tomorrow, I will be happy. Betting against Todd’s Swiss cheese scheme is very lucrative.

In that sense he never disappoints. Dumpster fires are easy to predict.

Watson could have a career day tomorrow. Ask Cousins and Ewers.

    Bowles knows losing.

  17. TB05 Says:

    We let Liam get away…

  18. NCbucfan Says:

And the hilarious Bowles supporters always go back to the SB and the”adjustment” Todd made. Well yeah, 3 of the Chiefs O lineman were out for god sake, and they call him a genius for that game.

  19. Vanessa Anne Says:

    @Drunk Bucs Fan

    Same here.

Scared to death and voted little confidence.

This game has all the makings of one we should easily win, but could somehow find a way to lose.

  20. Todd Watch 2026 Says:

Well over 70% of the fan base are not blind, the remaining 30ish need to take of their blinders

We can’t sell out a home opener against one of the worst teams in the league…the fan are screaming their answer to this joke of a coach

  21. BA’s Red Pen Says:

    • Little Confidence

  22. Dan the Bucs Fan Says:

Bucs win Sunday in a blow out! I do think the coach is gone is we lose Sunday. I also think he needs to be 5-4 at the bye or they might pull trigger during bye week. I think JL goes with Bowles. He pushed his chips to middle with Baker and V contract. It’s do or die in week 2 for this buccaneers era I think.

Just beat Cleveland split next two then everything will kind of settle in lot of early season pressure on everyone.

Baker revenge game? Give me my Bucs in a surprising low scoring game 20-10

  23. Drunk Bucs Fan Says:

@Vanessa, don’t get me wrong, I predict a double digit win. I’ve just been a fan too long not to know what’s possible

  24. SB~LV 🏈 Says:

    Missed the Poll cut off
    But I voted
    NC
    and!
    If you watch the YouTube
    Buccaneers Observer you’ll PUKE!
It’s beyond comprehension that this is a professional football team!
Get to the half way point when he lays out Todd’s
    Spot Defense
He is mocking Todds “Zone “ … I can’t even type the word but it starts with a D
TB should have been fired at the end of 2024 !
    🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

  25. NCbucfan Says:

Jaguars have won 9 straight regular season games. Who’s their HC again?

  26. NCbucfan Says:

Bucs are 2-7 their last 9 regular season games. Bucs life I guess!

  27. SB~LV 🏈 Says:

    UNACCEPTABLE!
    Watch the defensive film
It was purely accidental that they ever stopped the Bengals

  28. Obvious One Says:

    @Drunk Buc fan
    Respect…

You know, all of us that are utterly seeing red when it comes to this head coach, Just want US to win. THAT IS our bottom line..

It’s really no more of a mystery than that. We’re just no longer willing to blindly follow THAT blind man off the cliff. It’s really no more or less than that. We just refuse to pretend anymore and in Truth… I’m a pom pom guy as well.. I WANT TO WIN!

But I and certainly Most, can clearly see that we’re on the wrong path to wave pom poms from. It’s just makes us look like the idiots we Most Certainly Are if we continued to “blindly follow” to the Den of Depression.. No thanks.

With that said you put it nicely for All of us Including the GET RIDE OF THE ALBATROSS/ O sorry, Freudian slip there.. the head coach that requires someone or something OTHER THAN himself to win games.

    GO BUCS!

  29. Obvious One Says:

    NC Bucfan

The Jag off’s… Under Liam Coen’s guidance… THEY’RE KICKING ASS! And on their way to a Super Bowl

  30. NCbucfan Says:

@ Obvious One, Amen! Go Bucs!

  31. Vanessa Anne Says:

    @Drunk Bucs Fan

    Not at all.

    I’m also thinking we’ll win.

But yes, long history shows that there’s always one or two games a year that we should easily win and somehow lose.

I’m afraid tomorrow could be one of them.

  32. Obvious One Says:

And THAT IS the DYNASTY the “Goomba glazers” absolutely 100% THREW AWAY!

  33. SB~LV 🏈 Says:

    Folks!
    Watch the
Buccaneers Observer YouTube video focusing on the “defense “
Words simply cannot describe how BAD and CLUELESS the defense was on film.
The defense not a player or two.
    The WHOLE freaking scheme!
    It’s bad!

  34. NCbucfan Says:

How about the goal line Defense when the Bengals scored their first Offensive TD. Bengals were at like the 3 yard line and our DB(forget who it was) was like 6 yards off the TE. A Todd Bowles special. Even Moose Johnson called it out. I was friggin yelling at the TV like an idiot, but have no idea why I was surprised.

  35. SB~LV 🏈 Says:

On film it’s WORSE than you could possibly imagine!

I did get around to watching most of that hour-long film breakdown, SB. I concur – – it was BAD. This D needs to wake up in a hurry!!!!

  37. D-Rok Says:

    SB,

One thing that caught my eye in that film breakdown was that it seems Bowles had 1 of our DB’s in strict man, and the rest of the D in zone on most passing plays. It was interesting to see.

  38. SB~LV 🏈 Says:

Maybe Bowels “plan” is a good
Thing is that the players don’t seem to understand or be able to execute.
They had been working since May putting together

    _________

Watched most of it and the dude confirmed what most of us know.
    Garbage D “scheme.”
Loved the comment he made about us being a fair team and always making sure the other team has ample opportunities to move the ball against us.

That Todd, he’s a very generous guy.

  40. D-Rok Says:

I’m wondering if that is a modified Cover 1 scheme? Not sure, anybody know what it’s called when an outside CB is in man and the rest of the D is in zone?

Maybe I’m not informed on coverages adequately, but Google couldn’t figure it out, either.

  41. Joe Bob Pigskin Says:

He did better than I thought he would.

  42. Smoke Porterhouse Says:

I lost all faith in Bowles after the Atlanta game last year. I lost all faith in the Bucs ownership when they kept Bowles for another year.

  43. NCbucfan Says:

@ D-Rok, it was more of a hybrid cover 2 man that they played.

  44. D-Rok Says:

Thanks, NC! Off I go to learn more about hybrid cover 2 man… 🙂

  45. Pecker Says:

SB-LV is right. Watch that YouTube video breakdown. Yes it was one game, but, anyone think it will change? F Todd and his “spot” defense. OMG

  46. D-Rok Says:

Not sure if this is accurate, but here’s what AI regurgitated when asked what pass defense the Bucs played against the Bengals.

“Against the Bengals, the Buccaneers utilized a heavy mix of aggressive blitzing packages paired with single-high man coverage (Cover 1) and standard Cover 3 zone match to try to disrupt Joe Burrow.

However, the strategy struggled to get home. Joe Burrow systematically picked the pass defense apart by releasing the ball at an incredibly quick pace to counter the pressure, throwing for 254 yards and a touchdown while leading the Bengals to a 33-27 victory. Because Burrow got the ball out so fast, the Buccaneers’ pass rush generated only one single sack all afternoon.”

  47. NCbucfan Says:

Good research D-Rock, they def were able to exploit the middle, especially with Gesicki. Burrow got the ball out quick and Anzalone being out of position a few times didn’t help.

  48. MelvinJunior Says:

Why has this poll completely FLIPPED in like a week!? How was last week ANY different than the previous 4-YEARS!? I mean, did ya REALLY expect anything any different!? Now COME-ON, Mannnnn. Pffft… Ridiculous.

  49. MelvinJunior Says:

@ Dan The Bucs Fan Says: “I also think he needs to be 5-4 at the bye or they might pull trigger during bye week.”

Will never happen. I don’t care if they are 3-6 right before the trade-deadline. Since, they will convince themselves, that they STILL have “a chance” at this TRASH Division. They won’t move any of their assets, or ANYTHING. Not even for THIS ‘all-time’ LOADED Draft-Class. They’ll just sit on their hands, and stand pat like they always do. Because, they don’t know what the hell they’re doing, and are WEAK, SCARED, and LAZY.

  50. Eating L’s with Todd Says:

    69% little or no confidence

Buc fans are smarter than I thought

  51. BucsfaninOregon Says:

I don’t feel motivated to watch the You tube video. I see it every game. A professional breakdown will just depress and anger me more than I am.

last year I was sort of happy at the losses at the end because I thought it would be enough to get rid of TB. But….

  52. Davenport Says:

Anyone with any confidence in Bowles is lying to themselves. He should have been fired after last year – hopefully he’ll be gone in January.

  53. Buc1987 Says:

    No confidence.

  54. Pecker Says:

Two wins in the last 10 games. Pathetic. And of those two wins, neither was remotely enjoyable as a fan. Reflect back to those if you will, the Cards game sincerely felt like a loss leaving the stadium. The season finale vs CAR was an unmitigated crap fest.

  55. Bartow Buc Says:

A few wins swings the results of the poll back to the confidence range !!

    Go Bucs !!

    Another fun fact
    Chucky had a . 511 record – mediocre right?

  57. MadMax Says:

Um, Glazers, Jason, you seeing this right?

  58. Newbie Says:

No confidence. Thx you team glazer

  59. 80sBucsfan Says:

The schedule is difficult. 8-9/9-8 seems most likely. So…again…why is he here again? At this point…you are what your lifetime record says you are…mediocre.

WHat are we even doing talking about it for?

  60. Nick B Says:

I voted no confidence.I wonder why my vote wasn’t counted? I’m pretty sure that I’m not the only person that has no confidence in Todd.We need an investigation, hearings all that !!

  61. Ghost of McKay Says:

    Ditto toall posters….Ban Them

  62. Simeon4HOF Says:

Little rn. But none if we lose and some if we win
