Kenny Gainwell Picks Bucs Defensive Player Who Sticks Out

So why not go to the new guy to find out which defensive player is having a great camp? Kenny Gainwell likely doesn’t have a lot of close friends yet on the Bucs, so there may not be favoritism in his response.
After the night practice in the Glazer Shed on Tuesday, Gainwell was peppered with a question about what defensive player is giving him fits.
“I’m really loving what I’m seeing from YaYa [Diaby],” Gainwell said. “He grabbed me one time [Monday] and I was like, ‘Dang!’
“But I’m loving what I’m seeing from basically everybody – but YaYa stood out to me.”
Joe would love for YaYa to break out this year. Is that already taking place?
During a nasty hassle in the Glazer Shed when things got out of hand, Joe saw a helmet in the air. Don’t see that too often.
After practice, Joe asked players what happened. Joe thought someone Gronk-spiked a helmet. Instead, someone launched a helmet.
To Joe’s shock, a player said YaYa had rifled the helmet. YaYa is a pretty cool dude and somewhat of an easy-going guy. Joe didn’t think YaYa had it in him to toss a helmet.
So maybe YaYa is transforming? His best season was his rookie season. Time to take that next step.

With true and consistent pressure from the other side, it’s quite possible. Now we just need to fix the Vea situation and get back to focusing on coordinating the pressure.

Gotta say from what I am reading..David Walker is a guy to watch as well. He gets a sack every practice. Since he “red shirted” last year he feells like an bonus 2026 draft pick.

Yaya took a huge jump forward from his rookie season to his second season.

If you see a preseason with no fights during practice amongst the players-you are looking at a doomed team with no heart.

YaYa is in for a big year IF Kancey stays healthy and Bain brings it from the other side.

If YaYa connected on near sacks last year he would of had 20, He was close so many times. Hoping it works out for that entire Defensive Line. A no injury season could be one of the best teams in the NFL
