Baker Mayfield, Mike Evans And The Bucs Defense

January 14th, 2024

“Really impressive connection.”

Joe understands there is a lot of EaglesHate out there. Understandable. But if you like X’s and O’s breakdowns and a different lens to view the Bucs, this video clip is excellent.

Yeah, you’ve got to go to PhiladelphiaEagles.com to see a superb X’s and O’s video breakdown of the Bucs highlighted by a couple of sessions from famed NFL Films X’s and O’s guy Greg Cosell.

It really is good stuff.

There, Cosell showed what works for the Tampa Bay passing game, and where the Eagles may try to focus their resources to stop Baker Mayfield.

“He’s been up and down at times,” Cosell said, as he used film to highlight his talking points. “Not only this year but throughout his career.

“But he has been very good on third down this year. And he has shown the ability to go through his progressions and read coverage.”

Cosell went on to say that the melding of Evans and Mayfield is strong.

“That’s a really impressive connection,” Cosell said. “It is funny. Evans is rarely talked about as one of the really great receivers in the league but he really is. … He’s a really, really tough player to defend,” Cosell said.

Overall, Cosell lauded Mayfield’s “rhythm” with Evans but pointed out a good pass rush always messes with rhythm — and that is when Mayfield goes haywire.

One video breakdown higjlighted how in the Week 3 matchup between the Eagles and Bucs, Darius Slay was able to mess up Mayfield’s timing.

How well has Mayfield played this season? One of the panelists, former Eagles receiver and current Eagles radio analyst Mike Quick, said “[He] is a huge reason this team is in the playoffs.”

As for the defense, all panelists, including Ike Reese, love the play of Lavonte David and Antoine Winfield. They also said Devin White is exceptional at times. But Reese pointed out he doesn’t believe White recognizes RPO plays quickly enough to be a factor in those types of calls.

The panel sounded unimpressed with the Bucs’ defensive line. They believe if the Eagles win, it will be because they can run the ball and get their big offensive lineman onto the Bucs’ linebackers in the second level.

Which is all this game will come down to. Baker had 6 good games this year, 6 really bad games, and 5 mediocre games. If the Bucs get one of the 35% of good games, then they got a chance. But if you get the other 65% of Baker starts, it won’t matter what the rest of the team does, short of the defense scoring multiple touchdowns.

The team has to have good Baker show-up, or they’re going to get blown out, and people are going to remember why the Bucs got here – because they won the NFC South, the worst division in professional sports.

But if the Bucs win, then the regular season doesn’t matter and it validates everything.

Personally I hope Baker looks good, and Winfield Jr fully transforms into Ronde Barber and gets two TDs as the Bucs win by 30. That would be amazing.

The slightest ounce of pressure on mayfield and he becomes mr panicky happy feet. Pretty simple game plan if you’re the iggles. Maybe if baker could see over the lines he’s be able to make a pass once in a blue moon.

  3. m milligan Says:

Disagree Rod, Wins and losses were all team efforts. No way you can point to one player to identify poor performances. Don’t recall anyone playing well in those efforts and can include coaching in those debacles as well.
Would hate to see Evans go down in this one. Played all year for new contract, would hate to see anything like that happen, (just worry about potential knee injury)
    GO BUCS

We haven’t seen a close playoff game this year. They’ve been extremely one-sided. I expect the same from the Eagles-Bucs.

Canales doesn’t game plan strength vs weaknesses and he doesn’t adjust quickly. He and the run game will get exposed. He’ll set up obviously passing downs that will get Baker hit. By the time the Bucs transition to a passing attack, Baker will have reaggravated his injuries limiting his effectiveness and resulting in TO and sacks.

    Eagles: 31-13

I’ll stick up for Baker here, because I want the Bucs to win this game.

But nearly all QBs struggle under pressure and of course the Eagles are going to try to get pressure, what team doesn’t. But the Bucs also know this, and should have the short tempo passing game ready. From listening to some pros who do Eagles podcasts, they’ve said the defense is really struggling stopping simple 5 and 8 yard out patterns, so if that is true, the Bucs should take advantage of it and not out think themselves. If that happens, and the Eagles then start playing up, that’s when you can go deep – and that’s where the issues are as Mayfield has been completely erratic, but if throw those passes they’ll at least have to defend them, which then in turn should again open up the short passes.

We know Baker is completely inconsistent and you have no idea what you’re going to get from week to week, but if we get good Baker, who knows…

Well, it’s also true the home team has been on the winning side of the blowout. So you do have that if you’re looking at trends.

Also, not that it means much to anyone else, but I don’t have the sense of dread I generally have before the Bucs lose a big game. So at least in that case, I don’t feel like the Bucs are doomed and should have a legit shot on MNF.

If Baker shows up and plays well, then yes, it will be a team effort to win.

If the Baker of the last two weeks shows up, then it doesn’t matter what the rest of the team does since Baker will lose the game single-handedly. That’s how the QB spot works, and why it’s literally called the most important position in all of professional sports.

Again, I don’t get the Baker Bois who claim their cult leader is the GOAT, speak of him in the same name as Brady, Mahomes, Brees, etc – and all they’ve done for weeks now is talk about how loses aren’t his fault. Not one of them have said anything about their alleged franchise QB being a lock under pressure and going out and getting the win. It’s almost like the cult doesn’t have real faith in their idol.

We haven’t scored an opening drive TD all year…..those drives are scripted….that should tell you all you need to know.
Let’s hope we win the toss & defer……
On those, our Defense has started soft and then toughened up.

We desperately need to get a lead early….if we can do that, we can win.

  11. Joshua porter Says:

Thus shouldn’t be that hard to beat the eagles if the offense shows up. Blitz , blitz ,then blitz some more eagles can’t defend it at all this year.

  12. m milligan Says:

Let’s hope Canales gets his sht together. D Slay back for Eagles, he’ll be assigned to Evans all night. Would think the Bucs would be the Home Favorite.
I suppose a losses against a San Francisco, Seattle at Home, Dallas, Cardinals with a coach familiar with the team, and two against a Giants team that can win or loss by 20 any given week is bad but can be understood. More so than a shutout of an eventual 2-15 team and scoring 9 points on a team that gave up 26 to a team that the Bucs shut down the week before.
Makes me wonder what team was Bipolar. Panthers or Bucs.

Well, with a home playoff game on the line, perhaps a new contract on the line, Baker went out and completely self destructed and lost the game vs the Saints, not giving the team a chance to win, playing his worst game of the season.

So, off the top of my head, there’s that – which you should remember considering it was only 2 weeks ago.

I would also add that Baker’s performance against Detroit was deplorable.

He missed at least 4 wide open throws of 25+ yards and it looked really bad.

We had no chance to ground and pound against the Lions and those missed throws was the difference.

No wonder why Mike Evans wanted out and Chris Godwin’s GF started to chirp on social media.

Baker Mayfield cannot throw the football longer than 12 yards with any velocity or accuracy. There is now 7 seasons worth of evidence available for all to see.

Now be nice and go make sweet love to your sister.

  27. Marine Buc Says:

    I agree.

Evans was spoiled by Tom Brady.

He wants to go play with a QB that can throw the ball farther than 12 yards.

  28. Mike Johnson Says:

Baker is banged up more than the team is letting on. And I don’t see a pass rush miraculously coming out of nowhere guys. Given time, The eagles QB can pinpoint. Might get ugly tomorrow night.

BTW another little fun fact for you is Mayfield has record on the longest pass attempt in NFL history. He threw from the his own 40 yard line and hit the goal post in back of the end zone. But in your moronic mind he does not have arm strength….

  30. m milligan Says:

Oh right Rod, All BM’s fault, ran the ball 10 times in the first half for what 5 yds,
Sacked twice, threw one interception on a 50/50 ball. Saints scoring at will.

I would also add that Baker’s performance against Detroit was deplorable.

    ——

Yeah, and there’s others, like the Indy game where he was awful and cost them the game – the first Falcons game where the defense kept making stops and the offense didn’t do anything.

The only game this year where Baker played well and the Bucs lost was at Houston.

The only games that the Bucs won where Baker played poorly, were both vs Carolina. Baker was terrible in both, and the defense bailed him out both times.

Baker was also terrible vs the Eagles the first time around, but that is a game where the Bucs were just outmatched and weren’t winning on that night, so I didn’t and wouldn’t blame Baker for that L.

Again, if good Baker shows up, the Bucs have a chance – and that was 35% of his starts. If you account for the idea that Baker has good games vs bad pass defenses, which is normally the case, that number goes up, maybe to 50/50. That’s not too bad of odds that we see a good game, perhaps that’s why I don’t have the feeling of imminent doom (keeping in mind I’m only saying the Bucs have a 50/50 shot at having a chance – not a 50/50 shot of winning).

    ———-

I wouldn’t even give that deal until we see how this game goes. If he plays well and get’s the W, I’d offer him 1-year – although for PR purposes it can be structured however he needs to soothes his ego, as long as the Bucs can get out of it after a year.

Of course Baker would only be considered after locking up Evans and Winfield first, and probably getting a new deal with Wirfs done. Personally I’d still try to get White back as well, and certainly David. Then, after that, I’d see what is left to offer Baker.

However, I don’t run the team, so it doesn’t really matter what I think. If Baker plays well and the Bucs win this, the public pressure to keep him will force the Bucs hand … but then again will it sell a single ticket? Probably not, and that is the bottom line. But win the game, then all these scenarios become relevant.

  39. Jeremy Goins Says:

I’m glad everyone is so optimistic 😄. Go BUCS screw your pessimistic attitudes. You all never change, all we can do is hope the game plan works and if it doesn’t they actually adjust in time to win it. I hate the eagles any long time fan should feel the same way

  40. HC Grover Says:

    Go Pack

  41. Rod Munch Says:

Joe in Michigan – What’s his completion percentage when you remove all the 1 yard passes to White on 3rd and long?

In fact, I saw some stat, that I can’t find at the moment, that showed that White on third down is one of the top receivers in football, but also the average depth of target to White was literally negative yards – meaning the passes weren’t even 1 yard deep, they were behind the line of scrimmage.

Baker’s accuracy on short passes is just fine, and he even does well under pressure with short passes. But the more you get away from the LOS, the worse he gets. Those are just the numbers, not opinion – but just watching the games with your eyes shows you those numbers are legit.

  42. m milligan Says:

    Touchdowns: 7th (28).
    Passing yards: 9th (4,044).
Passing yards under pressure: 2nd (1,043).
    Touchdown-to-interception ratio: 10th (2.8).

Blow it out ur arse Munch, more of ur BS Dr 4-13 and yes ur right, nobody listens or gives a sht what u think or say. Looks like BM beat your bye wk prediction as well and is now the CPOY

  45. Bobby M. Says:

Run game/RPOs will set up play action…..Bowles will be forced to not blitz, possibly sit in zone coverage, Hurts will have a field day. Bowles entire defensive philosophy is built on an offense scoring consistently so the defense can play aggressive….we don’t do that. The rain is likely the only advantage we have.

  47. David Says:

The Buccaneers have been fantastic against the run the last several weeks. So they can say what they want about the Bucs defensive line but, love him or hate him at head coach, Todd Bowles knows what he is doing as a DC.
I think you’re going to see the Bucs bring 5-6 all day long to plug running lanes and corral HURTS. I don’t believe they are afraid of their passing game and the Bucs DBs have been doing a lot better as of late because they’re playing more man.

Offense is simple- pass pass pass. They lost their pass rush and they can’t defend the pass. Don’t try to force the run all damn day.

  48. David Says:

Got root for the Packers and Rams so the Buccaneers can get another home game (and not have to go to San Fran yet)

Even though, if the Buccaneers don’t get hot and win it all, I’m rooting for the Bills second and Detroit third

  49. Trask To The Future Says:

    WHY WHY WHY?

Why can’t the Baker fan boys admit that most games this season Baker struggled to throw for 100 yards in the first half when production was so critical to a game early on?

So much of his 4,000 yards came in the 2nd half often against soft defenses protected a large lead against the Bucs.

It’s unbelievable how many fans don’t actually watch the games (apparently) and see what he really does in most games.

Its the same thing many of us diehard fans were saying how Davis & Dean were both highly overrated and didn’t pass the “eye test” when actually watching them on the field and not just getting caught up in some of their stats that made them look much better than they actually play.

  50. Steven007 Says:

Trask to the bench, and what is your point exactly? We are in the playoffs. Your girlfriend is not playing. You’re apparently a Bucs fan? If so, be glad we’re in the playoffs. Plenty time in the off season to chat about things that don’t matter at this time.

    18th in QBR
    20th in scoring
LAST in scoring by starting QBs who started all their games

Meanwhile, the Bucs were 7th in points against, which is why they’re in the playoffs – not because of the middling offense.

His 2023 stats are smoke and mirrors when 25% of his tds are done in games we had no chance in coming back like the Saints game where he got 240 yards passing when it was apparent we couldn’t come back since he stunk it up in the 1st half. His completion % is bloated with passes thrown 3-5 yards and the receiver ran 10,20,30 yards and his interceptions are lower because defenses have dropped at least 10 in their hands interceptions and that under pressure yardage is because he’s too scared and holds on to the ball too long at times so by the time he can throw it the defense has made it past our inferior interior. Fakerbois love them some Faker stats

You know I don’t care how many records Mayfield broke or where he’s rated in the league this year he still has been inconsistent and also been part reason for some of the 8 losses. He has also took over 3 or 4 games this year to get the Bucs the win. Bowles haven’t been that good as a HC with the Bucs but he didn’t get to be a 2 time HC with out some kind of coaching pedigree. I am not a GM or a football personnel person but I think Mayfield and Bowle has been 50 50 so I would like to see them back together 1 more year

  79. BAKERSBucs says Says:

  86. mark2001 Says:

Watching the Dallas game. Hope you guys get some real officiating, rather than the shameful display we have been seeing again and again this year. Phantom horse collar tackles among them today. Don’t know if these guys are blind, biased or in the bag. But the league better clean it up, or the most honest thing we may be seeing in the future is the Kelce and Swift relationship..

  87. BAKERSBucs says Says:

It’s funny but didn’t we dismantle packers at there home field but many said we had an easy schudule wtf r u talking about we started with vikings & with cousins I don’t consider them mediocre I consider many people putting post on this site as mediocre for sure!

  88. Marky Mark Says:

The data set is small but Baker played extremely well in NFL and Ncaa playoffs. I also think Karma is on his side. I don,t believe it was a coincidence that Houston blew out Cleveland yesterday. Texans suspended Watson after allegations surfaced. They paid him to NOT play and shopped him. They were not going to condone the actions of this predatory monster. Meanwhile the Browns mortgaged their future to harbor a predator. Baker has always been a moral person and Karma will reward him.

  89. m milligan Says:

Rod, that last TD would have fed ur day dream, Thats what always happens, I’m putting 100 dollars on Bucs being up by 25 at half. NOT
I don’t think Pokes can stop Pack, thats a great Oline. I’m sticking with Pack

  90. Rod Munch Says:

These halftime shows are so douchey…

Can’t they just play a blooper reel with a countdown clock of when the game returns?

  91. m milligan Says:

Same for next yr, Automatically play all division champs, Dallas, San Fran, Detroit, Buffalo
    Ain’t that a bitch

  92. DungyDance Says:

  93. m milligan Says:

Half the league is 500, We have to play all 10-11 win teams, 2 hm, 2 away

  94. Rod Munch Says:

milligan – To get the insane odds you need a multi-part bet, so you’d need something like the Bucs lead by 25 AND they’ve pitched a shutout AND scored a defensive TD. Anywho, you do that, let me know the odds, and I hope you win it if it means the Bucs destroy the Eagles.

  95. m milligan Says:

LMAO, geriatric squad, Jimmy had heart attack.

  96. m milligan Says:

The games the Bucs Played against GB and Houston (teams playing fantastic in the playoffs) is hopefully the Bucs team we get for money Monday , rest easy Buc fans even if the Bucs don’t pull it off, it can’t be worse than the Cowboys and Miami, haven’t who haven’t done anything thing of note this century.

  98. Rusty Shackleford Says:

Sometimes, it is harder to keep a 27-0 lead than it is to get a 27-0 lead.

  99. Rusty Shackleford Says:

  100. m milligan Says:

Indeed, Those teams have been playing well consistently, while we’re limping in. Effort in Saints game was pathetic.
    They can do it

  101. maccafan Says:

This site can be so pathetic with some of these posters. When Bucs got Mayfield, was there one person who said he was an elite QB? Most of you all and quite a few of the talking heads thought he might not win the starting job. He had some games where he did not play really well but overall, he put up very solid numbers. Threw for over 4,000 yards, 28 TD’s and 10 INT’s. The Bucs made playoffs with winning record and most people thought Saints would win the division. Posters say the “Baker Boys” make excuses when he plays bad, but they always come up with way to denigrate a good game by Baker. The midget comments are lame, shorter QB’s like Wilson, Murray and Brees have had success in the NFL. In addition, even very tall guys like Lawrence (6 ft 6in) gets passes batted down at times.

  102. Faspro Says:

    GB with a good stop…

  103. Rusty Shackleford Says:

  107. Tony Marks Says:

LOl for those of you who don’t know Mush’s tell is he posts furiously when he is anxious.

usually its after a game where he swore Mayfield was going to be replaced and Baker foiled him again. However this time its before a game because well he’s run out of time and season.

anyway stats I see on Mayfield 20+ yards

    1. Brock Purdy (SF) 72 completions

    2. Jared Gof 64

    3. C.J. Stroud 62

    4. Matthew Stafford 62

    5. Dak Prescott 61

    6. BAKER MAYFIELD 59

Different resources have slightly different numbers but according to Team Incompetent Hate Baker should be rock bottom since he can’t complete any passes over 15 yards

    Ooooooops

Like I said if they be typing they be lying. Claiming Baker can’t hit a player over 10, 12 or 15 yards is CLEARLY a lie. Why Lie ? well its what small minds do when they know they don’t have the goods.

    Seh La vie

    ——–

You’ve repeated that lie so many times, and you’re such a mental lightweight, I bet you believe it.

Anywho, I had the Bucs, originally 5-11, then changed it to 6-10 when AR-15 got hurt and I flipped the Indy loss to win. I also said the Bucs would be 3-1, then said they’d go on a long slide and be 4-7.

So I was literally 100% accurate after week 11, which is quite a fantastic record.

No go update your copy and paste script so you get it right.

  121. Tony Marks Says:

For full disclosure it should be pointed out theres a lot of room for interpretation on pass length – how much travels through the air, what is a pass completion vs attempt, are YACs after catch counted etc and some stats are not at all clear how they calculate things.

Still baker’s overall completion rate with deeper shots and short shots included would be much lower if what the liars were saying is true.

NFL MVP BAKER MAYFIELD IS GOING TO HUMILIATE THE PHILADELPHIA TOMORROW, AND COACH OF THE YEAR TODD BOWLES WILL HAVE THE DEFENSE READY TO PLAY! BUCS 55, EAGLES 10, IT WON’T EVEN BE CLOSE!

  133. m milligan Says:

  134. Faspro Says:

    Rams…

  135. orlbucfan Says:

It’s the 4th, and it’s Packers 48-16 over the Cowjerks in Dallas. So, guess who will win. Bucs will win, too. I hope a few people have gotten in Canales’ face, or threatened to drop him on his head!! Bucs won this one 45 years ago. Time to do it again. If I was 45 years younger, I would be there, weather permitting. C’mon, Tampa Bay!!

  136. Rod Munch Says:

    Some additional stats…

[Not sure who “PFR” is but this is a widely used stat. Widely used meaning almost anyone who does stats uses it — Joe] has a stat called passing success rate, describe as, ‘a pass is considered successful when it gains at least 40% of yards-to-go on 1st down, 60% of yards-to-go on 2nd down and 100% of yards-to-go on 3rd or 4th down’.

So again, it doesn’t give you credit for dumping off the ball on 3rd and long, which unnaturally boosts passer rating and competition percentage stats.

Looking at the top 20 QBs (by yards), Baker finished #17th, only ahead Russell Wilson, Sam Howell and Justin Fields in success rate.

Out of the top 32 QBs, Baker finished 21st.

  157. orlbucfan Says:

Well, the team owned by the descendants of the original Packer fans just won. 48-32. No reason why Bucs can’t mimic them. Didn’t the Bucs beat the Pack earlier this season? If the Bucs win, they will play Lions in Motown. Bucs are not Stupid Bowl ready—yet. Lions winning is fine with me cos they’ve never won a SB. Bucs have won 2.

  158. Rod Munch Says:

On the Cock, they were just saying look for Raheem Morris to possible be the guy they hire in Atlanta.

That would be something. He got screwed over by the Bucs, who clearly thought they had the new trendy guy in Chip Kelly when they fired him, and instead ended up with the Jersey Trash Greg Schiano.

I’d hate for Morris to end up in Atlanta since I want him to do well, but if he goes to Atlanta, I want him to be the first coach to ever go 0-17. Also seems like an odd match for a team with that beautiful sphincter topped building to not go and spend a ton of money on a big name.

    ——

That codn’t be because the narrative all season long from the fake Buc fans is that the bucs haven’t won against a contender.

Baker in particular sucked with his perfect passing rating against them so how could we have?

  162. orlbucfan Says:

Raheem Morris got screwed over by ownership big-time. When Chucky was canned, Raheem was promised the DC slot which he wanted. He was called in and told there was a change. He either had to take the HC position or get canned. POed a lot of fans off, too. I will always wish him well. Ownership? Humph!!

  163. Rod Munch Says:

Baker Bois and real Bucs fan, lets all just be happy we’re not the worthless garbage that makes up Detroit and their loser fans, who were so awful they made Barry Sanders retire rather than have to spend another dreadful winter in that crime ridden hell hole.

Nothing today will make me more happy than to see the SCAMS destroy the Lions as their idiot fans all act like they expected it happened, and weren’t morons who bought into their fraud team.

    .

Actually I think the Lions are good – but still, I can hope, I love seeing hometown fans, that are not Bucs fans, looking miserable on TV.

  164. Rod Munch Says:

What is with the filters the last couple of days, like half my posts are getting caught in them.

  165. Rod Munch Says:

orlbucfan — well, I wouldn’t say getting promoted to HC was the part where Morris got screwed over, he went from probably making like $120k a year to making over $2m a year.

He did a good job with the team, got a team without a lot of talent to what should have been the playoffs, only to have the NFL screw over the Bucs in that week 15 Lions game with the offensive PI call on Winslow – which put the Packers into the playoffs instead of the Bucs, which in turn lead to them winning the SB, which in turn lead to a decade of terrible commercials with Aaron Rodgers.

But if the Bucs don’t fire Morris, they don’t hire Schiano, and Freeman isn’t forced to turn to a life of drugs to deal with the Jersey Trash.

  166. orlbucfan Says:

Rod M, I hear you but Raheem wasn’t ready to be a HC back then. He trained as a secondary coach under Dungy. Somewhat similar to all this Canales/HC hot air.

  180. mark2001 Says:

Rod…just to make it clear… The last couple touchdowns and big passing yardage Dak had was in the last 10 minutes of the game, when the Packers had much of their first string Defense resting on the bench. Almost came close to snake biting the Packers. But they made the plays when they had to … though the second stringers didn’t step up.

  181. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Most of the league’s quarterbacks have not won superbowls because they suck are not good enough.

Teams that win and repeat? They have quality quarterbacks. There is no denying that.

A strictly game manager QB is not good enough…especially in today’s NFL.

This might be hard for many Bucs fans to imagine, but it IS possible to land a top NFL quarterback in the draft.

We just have not done it yet…and part of the reason is we have never had a head coach willing and able to develop one.

You don ‘t need a mobile QB so much as an accurate passer with arm strength. Mobility can be a plus, but really, only in the early years.

  182. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

As Joe loves to point out, Mayfield is better that Brady.

They might as well give us the Lombardi trophy now.

    Prepare the bust in Canton.

    Our troubles are over, Dude.

  193. mark2001 Says:

Packers are the youngest playoff team in 50 years. So I’d expect we will see them around the next couple of years. At this point, they are playing on house money.

  194. adam from ny Says:

how is pookie nakooky so good ??

  196. Bucs 95 Says:

Im guessing the site hasent posted in hours and is waiting for the lions and rams game too end so joe can write “bucs could host divisional round next week” or “bucs could play in detroit next week” 🤣🤣

  197. Bucs 95 Says:

Rams would be a nightmare matchup for tampa if they win and rams win tonight it would be a replay of the 2021 playoffs

Most of the league’s quarterbacks have not won superbowls because they suck are not good enough.

by that drop down stupid standard there are only 3 good quarterbacks that played through this season in the entire league

    Boy you guys are dumb.

  200. m milligan Says:

    EricNorseman, LMAO

  201. Rod Munch Says:

You had to stop the Lions either way… why in the world would you punt the ball.

What a gutless call from the coach.

  202. m milligan Says:

Thats a good coach, Bucs don’t play like that

  203. m milligan Says:

    Well
looks like we’re going to Pontiac
Ain’t that a bitch, now we have to beat cinderella, this is some kind of Rod Munch BS

  204. Rod Munch Says:

So if the Bucs win, they go to Detroit.

Have to actually win the game vs the Eagles before we worry about that too much – but I do like that match-up better than going to play the Cowboys or 49ers.

  205. Bucs 95 Says:

Yeah mcvay is thinking damn why did i punt it now and those wasted timeouts

  206. adam from ny Says:

potentially rematches vs eagles and lions…

but i’m not getting ahead of tomorrow nights game…

and then if we somehow get thru that, we either go to sf or gb comes to us…

    #AllRematches

  207. adam from ny Says:

    mcvay kinda screwed up………that foo

  208. Rod Munch Says:

You’re at what, the Lions 45 yard line or something? I don’t care if it’s 4th and 30, you go for it there since you have to stop the Lions either way. What a gutless call, and it makes no sense from an analytics, or common sense standpoint. You’re much better off just throwing a hail mary and hoping it gets intercepted or you get a PI or TD over punting there.

Man, what a gutless call. Way to ruin the game McVay.

  209. adam from ny Says:

rod you might be hung up on mcvay…

but i’m kinda obsessed with summer vixen broski 🙂

EricTheViking Says: “As Joe loves to point out, Mayfield is better than Brady.”

Joe will say anything to keep us from seeing what Kyle can do. Hence Baker’s career record of .465 is better than Tom’s measly career record of .753.

  211. bee bro Says:

Who said there was no close playoff games what about Lions 24 Rams 23? It’s so good to see how all the fans support our team WTH you sound like a bunch of carolina panther fans talking about their team. Good Luck to All our players.

  212. orlbucfan Says:

I was born in DC and cut my NFL fan teeth on the then Washington Redskins (Commanders has got to be the dumbest name in the multiverse). We hated the Dallas Cowboys from the get-go. I can not get over what a perfect game the Packer O coaches and players pulled off. They dissected the Cowjerks in TX. I loved every minute of it! And Bucs beat GB at Lambeau in the regular season? Say what? I know Bucs will beat Philly. Go Tampa Bay!!

  213. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Tony Marks Says
“by that drop down stupid standard there are only 3 good quarterbacks that played through this season in the entire league.
    Boy you guys are dumb.”

Not what I said, but really, there aren’t many more than 3 great QBs in the league right now…the rest are above average…but…

…bottom line…a QB who cannot win a ring is useless.

And only ignorant persons call others dumb because they have a different opinion. While you insult others to cover your ineptitude, the rest of us see a bit more clearly.

  214. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

orlbucfan, I was a skins fan until the Bucs started. I STILL hate the cowgirls.

  215. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

The personal insults is why none of us like you faker fanbois. This board was cool until you toxic females showed up with your man crush which is why it’s better to let him go back to the Browns where he and all you belong
