Tom Brady Wouldn’t Answer Two Simple Questions About His Retirement

February 6th, 2023

Joe has no hope of Tom Brady returning to the Bucs for the 2023 season, but today Brady sure seemed like a guy not 100 percent sure of whether his retirement will stick.

Joining Colin Cowherd for an interview on FS1, Brady was asked directly whether he’s 100 percent retired.

“Is there a 1 percent chance you could get talked back into playing?” Cowherd asked.

Brady paused and didn’t answer the question. Instead, he said he knows how he feels and then talked about his excitement for the future.

The next question? Brady was asked to describe the moment and where he was when he decided to retire.

He didn’t answer the question.

Brady only repeated that he retired last week and then started talking about new opportunities.

Man, Brady sure didn’t sound sure of himself when the focus was on his retirement. He did reveal he would start his job as a FOX game analyst during the 2024 season.

You can see video of the Brady interview below.

“The next question? Brady was asked to describe the moment and where he was when he decided to retire.”

He didn’t want to throw Bowles under the bus by telling the truth, ‘the moment Bruce Arians retired’.

  2. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Brady is a master at keeping the attention on Brady…..

    Brady retired for good…..no story.

Brady might come back……story…..as in this one..

  3. Bubby Says:

    He sounds done to me.

  4. Beej Says:

There’s every chance that if Brady answer those questions truthfully he would be hurting the feelings of his teammates and coaches

  5. zzbucs Says:

Agree Bubby, sounds gone to me!!

  6. beano Says:

“When one thing closes like football has for me.”

Sounds retired, Joe. Hire a lawyer and file for divorce from Brady.

Factually wrong again. Arians retired BEFORE Brady announced his return from retirement.

  8. Mikadeemas Says:

Thanks for that. I wouldn’t have seen it otherwise. Now let’s rebuild this mf’er. I’m with Ira 💯! GO BUCS!!

  9. YucsBall Says:

    so you’re saying there’s a chance?

if he comes back its with tampa.

  10. Joe Says:

Factually wrong again. Arians retired BEFORE Brady announced his return from retirement.

Might want to check your timeline again, Son of Trask.

  11. beano Says:

Chief Trask Hater Says: “Might want to check your timeline again, Son of Trask.”

Might want to check the media reports that Arians’ departure was a CONDITION of Brady’s return. In fact the notion that Brady returned AND THEN Arians decided to retire (“Oh no the GOAT is returning”) is laughable, believed only by bigly fans of Johnny Maziel and Jameis Winston. 😛

  12. mg Says:

That is one of the funniest corrections of all time, Joe.
    “Son of Trask” lmao.

The ad hominem is the last refuge of the feeble mind.

  14. SB~LV Says:

    Give the guy a break!
He is probably so tired of hearing the word retirement
He is gonna be 46 years old
    He is finished playing football
I want to see him with a giant cheeseburger in paradise in each hand doing commercials for men’s pants with elastic waistbands

  15. Joe Says:

Might want to check the media reports that Arians’ departure was a CONDITION of Brady’s return.

He didn’t step down until AFTER Brady came back and even asked Brady if he was OK with that.

Try claiming this is wrong and it’s your last post. Now go to your bedroom and drool at Trask poster.

  16. Bill in Seminole Says:

Am reading online that Brady told Cowherd that he would be joining Fox Sports for the 2024 season…which would make him available to play in 2023.

Is there a chance he could be lured back? Or does he just want a one-year hiatus?

  17. Oneilbuc Says:

Why do y’all insult people just because some of us want to see what the guy has ?? Lol 🤣🤣 But from the looks of things Joe you sound like the son of Brady on this site.

Oh boy, correcting someone else with verifiably false info. It’s just funny. Might wanna check your facts before making any future statements, Traskman. 🤣🤣🤣

  19. Redeemer Says:

I seriously doubt he wants to be Brett Farve minus the pee pee pics. He’s done, but I thought he was last time.
Joe, don’t be that way. We all know what happened. Brady tried to shoot his way outta here. Timelines be damned. It’s called plausible deniability so everyone involved could save face. Most of these reports you folks gravitate towards miraculously fit around a point of view. They don’t necessarily reflect the truth. We may never know. Its my assertion G. Wanted Miami. The bucs wouldn’t trade him and forced him to play here or nowhere.

  20. Pewter Power Says:

He’s a national TV he knew those questions were coming. He’s doing the gronk thing and milk the exposure as long as possible

  21. Joe Says:

But from the looks of things Joe you sound like the son of Brady on this site.

Joe has stated this before. Joe had the fortune of getting to watch multiple practices with Kyle Trask at quarterback. Trask actually regressed last summer as training camp progressed. That’s not good.

Trask may someday be an excellent quarterback. Joe hopes he is for the Bucs, just like Joe hopes a cute blonde seeking warmth and comfort knocks on Joe’s front door during a rainstorm. (Remember, Joe applauded the drafting of Trask. Go ahead and search Joe’s free archives.)

Everything Joe has seen from Trask signals the Bucs are tanking if he’s starting this fall. Joe isn’t saying Trask cannot be a quality NFL starter. All Joe has to go by is what Joe saw. Evidence. Hope, wishful thinking and prayer aren’t evidence.

And God forbid Joe is fond of the greatest quarterback of all time. What next, Joe should start loathing Derrick Brooks, Warren Sapp, John Lynch, Lee Roy Selmon, Lavonte David, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin?

If you think Trask will lead the Bucs to the Super Bowl based on fantasy, that’s fine. Joe cannot do that.

  22. beano Says:

“Son of Brady” LMFAO so true he can’t let him go.

  23. stpetebucfan Says:

OK I’m luvin it. Joe is firing some great snark…some guys here must enjoy living in “the shade”. LMAO

Again on a human level I’m relieved Brady is retired. Imagine if he had done this right after the SB win like Peyton did with the Broncos. It would have been the absolute fantasy that Hollywood script writers would not write because it wasn’t believable. Old dude sours on his team, joins a new team and brings his amigo with him and they combine to help lead the Bucs to a SB. It would have been a storybook ending!!!

BTW I love reading this stuff…”Might want to check the media reports” If this was a political discussion they’d be going nuckin futs over somebody suggesting that the “lamestream media” reports anything but fake news.

I guess it’s the old saw of shooting the mssenger when you don’t like the message. If the message is agreeable then they’re credible. LMAO

  24. beano Says:

[Calling Joe a liar (twice today) is “Crime Against Joe.” Out you go, though Joe may pull an Elon Musk and review this action when the regular season kicks off. Maybe. – Joe.]

  25. Nicholas Carlson Says:

He actually sounds pretty sure to me

  26. NEfan Says:

beanblo, at least Joe isn’t making up shat to prove your little fantasy about you and oneilsuckyall doing a Trasktrain all the way to the SB. Choo Choo.

  27. Oneilbuc Says:

Joe. Brady was trash this year and you and the rest of fan boys made BL the scapegoat and if Brady comes back we still ain’t winning a Superbowl. Joe you been anti Kyle Trask the day he was drafted so how can anyone believe what you saw in Trask because of your narratives against Trask. You still haven’t seen him with the starters. Joe get over it Brady ain’t coming back.

  28. Oneilbuc Says:

NEfakefan. What are doing here you ain’t no bucs fan?? Go back to New England oh that’s right you wasn’t real with that team 🤣🤣!!

  29. tbbucs3 Says:

Joe had been praising Brady all season for garbage time yards and check downs to Lenny all while leading a bottom 5 offense in the leauge….the reality is that when your putting up 17 PPG the dropoff between the 2022 version of Brady and Blaine Gabbert and company wouldn’t have been much of a difference.

…..the most misleading stat thrown around on this website is that Brady played well because he threw for lots of yards….last time I checked the Bucs lead the leauge in pass attempts by a mile so most QBs would racked up yards in this offense.

  30. NEfan Says:

Ttsucs, the most misleading stat is the D is top 10. The guy hasn’t answered the questions because if Tua goes down guess who comes out of retirement.

  31. Vancouver Buc Says:

    Come on GOAT…one Last Dance!

  32. Roc Says:

    Brady is done

Dang sure won’t come back with Bowles here

  33. mark2001 Says:

Just read the Jenna Lane article about Sam Darnold as Brady’s possible replacement. Remember…Bowles was involved in drafting Darnold. Oh boy….

  34. Beeej Says:

Be on lookout for new Brady-hating Trask lover to show up

  35. SRQ Bucs Fan Says:

    Hope is not a strategy

  36. stpetebucfan Says:

“Hope is not a strategy” Neither is pessimism.

  37. mark2001 Says:

True St. Pete. Dealing with reality is a strategy. And we have a lot of reality to deal with… much of it not very positive lately.

  38. unbelievable Says:

He sounds pretty done to me.

  39. steele Says:

The long-winded positivity political speech complete with humanistic feeling and current (heart symbol) jargon that doesn’t answer questions directly. Of course.
Nobody is going to get anything different publicly.

Privately, as Brady Sr. reported it: “I’m sick of getting hit.”

If anyone intrepid were to harrass poor Brady to illuminate, it would be about this. Was he sick of taking hits specifically because of Bowlee, Leftwich and the OL this season? Or generally tired of the physical toll of the game? Naturally he’ll the latter.

  40. Oneilbuc Says:

Beeej. It not about being a Trask fan it’s about being a real bucs fan . The only players you cared about was Brady. And you tell the truth about Brady than y’all call it hate . Brady is 45 years old it’s time to move on from a washed up quarterback. Any one who wants him back at 46 years old don’t really care if the bucs win they’re just Brady fan boys. It’s crazy how you call people Trask fans just because we won’t to see what has . He was drafted in the second round and played well in college . But I see you a Joe Disciple and you believe his narratives . You know what’s funny Joe never talked about Trask practicing with the starters have you noticed that? Joe got you brain wash and he know it lol 🤣🤣🤣!!

  41. NE Paul Says:

I would love to see Tommy back for 1 more rodeo with the 49ers. This season was not the ending you would want for him. I realize a lot of folks in Tampa would be upset to see that happen but if he really does have one more ring to collect it ain’t with the 2023 bucs.

  42. NEfan Says:

Oneilsuckyall you write the same crap every post. Relax puppy he’s gone, get used to the bottom LOSER!!!
