Agreed… though maybe idiot is too harsh. Maybe senile?

  7. Goatfarmer Says:

Ira can still kick most of your Pudenda laced behinds. Chill.

  8. Dew Says:

Hell no on moving on from Brady. You good with being scum again? NOT ME. Its been awesome getting all the attention & primetime games.

  9. Vancouver Buc Says:

So Brady lines up for the first offensive snap this season and has a look at his O-Line…no Big Red, no Cappa and no Marpet. He looks over to the side and there’s no Gronk. What he has is a Hainsey, Rookie Godike and rookie Otton. What the F*#k do u think is gonna happen with these replacements? Worst rushing attack in NFL history almost and then he has to get the ball out under 2.5 seconds otherwise he’ll be pasted on the turf. This was a lost season from the start because of this O Line and TE included. NO QB could succeed with this running game and O Line and play calling. People have short memories…Brady almost single handedly won the Rams last season in the playoffs before Bowels beautiful play call to lose the game. So within a matter of a few months Brady has gone from ballin out in that Rams game to being washed up? Not buying this Ira…Crappy O Line, banged up receivers, no running game and no speedy receivers. This and piss poor coaching f*#ked the Goat and the Buc Nation fans

  10. lambchop Says:

Move on from Brady because we have some shiny new toy to replace him? We’re only relevant because Tom came to Tampa Bay. It’s going to be an abysmal time trying to get FAs to come to Tampa again. The new destination in Florida is going to be Miami.

This was the most dysfunctional season post-Winston and it was in large part due to what happened before the season even started (BA’s abrupt abandonment and Tom’s divorce). Given a normal offseason, this playoff team could have performed better even with the nincompoop coaches we had.

For all the talk of not letting Byron go mid-season because we didn’t have a replacement for him, I find that hilarious given the Bucs have the biggest coaching staff in the league at the time and you literally have the God himself at QB who could run circles around any OC.

  11. sasquatch Says:

Lee ranting about Gage is classic dumbassery. The guy was hurt most of the year! Give me a break! He’s a good player. How was Licht to know Gage would be hurt? and seriously, that signing was widely praised when it happened because he was considered a perfect #3 to put with Evans and Godwin. Second guessing on a signing that only failed because of injury makes you sound like a clown.

  13. sasquatch Says:

Another classic bit of stupidity is blaming Bowles for busted QBs in NY. How have those players done since then? What evidence do you have that it was Todd who made them fail. Maybe they’re just not that good. Hackenburg, is he even in the league? Darnold, journeyman who can’t keep a starting job. Did Bowles actually screw him up? Really? Doubtful.

A good OC and QB coach, and drafting the right QB is how you succeed at the position.

  14. Joe Says:

Christian Hackenberg and Sam Darnold were coached up by guys Bowles hired. So is Joe supposed to somehow pin this on, oh dunno, Pete Carroll or Mike McCarthy?

So now Bowles is going to hire an offensive coordinator and you are going to bank a first round draft pick of a quarterback to develop into a 10-year+ starter on, what, blind hope that Bowles finally can hire a guy who knows how to develop QBs??? Now THAT is first rate stupidity!

Would you go to a dentist to have oral surgery performed by a guy that twice lost his license for malpractice??? So why should you expect someone who swung and missed twice on high draft picks to get it right the third time? Because he wears a red cap on gamedays???

  15. Goatfarmer Says:

Gage has potential to be almost as good as Godwin, just get and stay healthy. Same goes for Godwin, and Mikey.

It’s why to have very deep skill set depth.

  16. sasquatch Says:

Maybe those QBs just aren’t that good. Not every QB succeeds, even with decent coaching. What do you know about Todd’s QB coach in NY?

  17. Joe Says:

Yeah, you are right. Let’s go bring back Justin Evans. His only problem was that he was hurt. 🙄

  18. sasquatch Says:

    Confirmed. You are a clown.

  19. Goatfarmer Says:

Todd’s QB coach in NY at Jets? I can’t even tell his name because he was so bad he’s an unknown.

Of course as the head coach, Todd hired him, or at ,East didn’t replace him after he proved to suck.

In the end, the HC is responsible for all performance, production and results, in each phase of the game, season by season, and cumulatively. When your offenses suck as a head coach, you suck. It got Father Dungy fired.

It will get Bowles coaching career finished. Because…….he sucks.

  20. Joe Says:

    Confirmed. You are a clown.

Only a clown would argue something as fact with zero documentation or evidence to prove it. Your evidence a Bowles-hired coach can develop a rookie quarterback is… what exactly?

Come on, you know so much, what’s your evidence a Bowles-hired coach can and has developed a stud quarterback. Spill the beans man. Let’s hear it. Joe wants to bathe in your wisdom. Let us all know.

  21. sasquatch Says:

I didn’t say it definitely can or will happen. I just said your “evidence” for saying that a QB could not develop with Bowles as a head coach is thin, at best. You’re ranting and raving and your evidence is just yelling louder. Classic Trumper.

  22. sasquatch Says:

I didn’t say it definitely can or will happen. I just said your “evidence” for saying that a QB could not develop with Bowles as a head coach is thin, at best. You’re ranting and raving and your evidence is just yelling louder. Classic DonTheCon lover.

  23. sasquatch Says:

Maybe Hackenburg and Darnold were just bad draft picks. Ever consider that?

  24. Joe Says:

Maybe Hackenburg and Darnold were just bad draft picks. Ever consider that?

Sure. But Joe is a coaches guy. Good coaches get the most out of the players. (Bad coaches can really eff up a team.) Once is an accident. Twice is a pattern.

  25. Goatfarmer Says:

Another algorithm shoots down a vanilla post that had no negative anything. It simply stated that a head coach is accountable for everything. Results, through performance and production, are owned by the HC. What you measure and how you identify the defects, is subtle. Difficult. And even more difficult to fix.

Bowles in 5 years as a HC regresses every year, this arguably worse than his last year as a Jet.

One more year. If he doesn’t address measurements and corrective actions on identified defects, he will not succeed.

  26. Goatfarmer Says:

Fire Bloewzo now. But it will have to wait until after 5-12 (or worse) 2023.

  27. sasquatch Says:

I’ll just finish with this… If you are so certain that a QB can not develop under Bowles, why would you not be demanding he be fired? That’s a pretty crucial aspect to being an NFL head coach, and with Brady not likely to return and insufficient cap to buy a top of the line QB, we are looking at precisely the situation you say he can’t succeed in. I’m willing to give the man a chance for 2 reasons: (1) I don’t have a say in his employment status, and (b) I just get sick of being negative so I’d rather wipe the slate and see what’s possible. In addition, I’m far less inclined to hold his NYJ tenure against him given that their front office sucked. I want to be optimistic and I want the Bucs to find a young QB to compete with guys like Burrow and Allen.

The one coach I think never earned the benefit of the doubt is Lovie Smith. Not only was he incompetent, but he was arrogant about it too. How the Texans arrived at him as a head coach is a mystery nobody will ever explain, other than they just needed a warm body to occupy the job and could not find anyone else who would do it.

  28. The Anomaly Says:

Let’s start the ball rolling on getting Dungy out of the ring of honor

We can’t have that guy representing our community

  29. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I don’t see us getting a quality OC at all…though I would gladly take that guy the Cards (?) fired as Within C or HC. I think he averaged 44 points a game until 2022.

  30. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

As to Brady leaving…I would say that depends on 1) Who the new staff is, and 2) what improvements are made to the team.

This year was a disaster…but the main culprit was player health and distractions.

  31. AbucAway Says:

I agree with Ira on all points.

  32. steele Says:

VancouverBuc, I have said the same thing many times. No other QB present or past would succeed with the circumstances that Brady had to deal with this season.

The problem is, those circumstances remain in place, top down, seeping into the minds of everyone on the team. It’s still Bowles, and the culture that infects veterans and younger players is Bowles. Insert Bowles yes-men and add new Bowles-approved players, it will be the same. It’s even possible that it will be worse.

If Brady humbly sticks around, he would still have the same mess around him, and in front of him, and he will be another year older. I don’t see great raw material for the new OC, no matter who he is, and this poor OC will still be at the mercy of the larger problem of Bowles head coaching, and its negativity.

  33. MadMax Says:

Ok DEW, so you want to suck out loud in prime time in front of millions. Ok then.

Look, unless we can build a massive fortress of an O line for TB, its over for him here. Yes he might have one more good year left, but not with us. He’s too slow physically. Mentally probably the sharpest we’ll ever see. But the cap is killing us. And theres only one way to fix that. We’re going to have at least 3 awful years. It happens.

  34. adam from ny Says:

gage isn’t built to take hits the way godwin does…he’s just not

  35. adam from ny Says:

if brady does stick around he’s a buc until the end of his career

  36. adam from ny Says:

ira and cozmo are like george jetson and elroy on bromosas

  37. AbucAway Says:

I think Brady will make his play/retire announcement to coincide with his movies’ release day.
It’s a good year for Brady to retire and keep his brands image intact, for the most part. I think many folks are placing blame for this lackluster season on coaching, deservedly so, But i also believe Brady had his hand in this year’s offense and is partially responsible for it’s giant fail. He also wasn’t playing at the level we have come to expect. Injury or old man drop-off can be debated for the rest of time unless he comes back next year and removes any doubt.. one way or another

  38. SufferingSince76 Says:

Anomaly, I hope you’re being sarcastic.

  39. Razor Ramone Says:

    Boston Terriers are awesome dogs.

  40. mark2001 Says:

One of the truisms in Management I learned decades ago, is that when you are a new manager, and after a reasonable period of time, you think everyone else in an organization is a problem and needs to be fired… the chances are that you are pointing the finger or desire to fire in the wrong direction.

  41. mark2001 Says:

I thought we had Tom Moore and Arians on the payroll to help, among other things, develop a QB. The QB whisperer and such? But maybe not. Maybe it is Andy Reid.

  42. OrlandoBucFan Says:

Joe, on a different subject, when are you guys going to plan a watch party at the Big Storm in Orlando? There are a lot of Orlando Bucs Fans (well, only one me, but you get the point). I would push it out on social media here in Orlando. I’m sure you’d get a good audience and maybe a few new followers. Just a thought….though I am looking forward to the Ybor City location opening. That would cut about 20 minutes or so off my drive.

  43. TombsEN Says:

The coaching bit doesn’t tell the whole story, sure some bad coaches can screw up an organization, but some players are just bad players and no amount of “good” coaching can help that. Joe you would have a point about Bowles not being able to develop a qb if even one of those guys were able to have success with another team but the fact of the matter is that none of them were and 2 of them are out of the league. Honestly your argument about Bowles and qb’s is lazy and there is no guarantee that an “offensive” coach will be any better, see Denver.

  44. RumDude Says:

    Nope.

  45. TOMMY MORDUE Says:

IRA KAUFMAN IS A MORON !….TOM BRADY IS THE REASON WE CAME TOGETHER AS A TEAM ,WON A CHAMPIONSHIP & CONTINUED TO WIN AS MANY GAMES AS WE HAVE SINCE HE’S BEEN HERE…IF THE GLAZERS HAVE ANY FOOTBALL SENSE, THEY MUST REALIZE THIS..HE ELEVATES THE TEAM,HE HELPS BRING TALENT TO THE ORGANIZATION “HE’S A WINNER” & DOES NOT ACCEPT LOSING..JUST WHAT THE BUCCANEERS HAVE NEEDED FOR YEARS TILL HE 1ST SIGNED WITH US…RELOAD THE TEAM AROUND HIM..DON’T BE FOOLISH ENOUGH TO LET HIM NOT RETIRE AS A PLAYER UNLESS IT’S WHILE HE’S STILL A BUCCANEER..THEN TALK HIM INTO BEING OUR OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR/QUARTERBACK’S COACH & KEEP HIM WITH THE TEAM AS LONG AS POSSIBLE, OTHERWISE, YOU WILL FIND YOURSELVES WITH A MEDIOCRE TEAM FOR YEARS TO COME & LOSING OUT ON THE PLAYOFFS YEAR AFTER YEAR ONCE AGAIN..

  46. Thugster Says:

You fools got Rooney ruled, bowels sucks, ran jets into the ground but somehow he got another HC job, what a joke. TB is doomed for a decade
