More Tom Brady Magic

January 18th, 2022

“Aaron, want to see my jewelry stash?”

Sometimes Joe thinks he could type a week’s worth of posts about wild Tom Brady stats.

Now without getting a little too far ahead, Joe has no real concerns about the Packers, the No. 1 seed. Why? Well, drama queen Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is a choke artist.

That’s right. Think about it: Rodgers led the Packers to the Super Bowl to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the 2010 season. He hasn’t been back since.

How many MVPs has that guy won and how many times have the Packers been the No. 1 seed since 2010 and still they haven’t returned to the Super Bowl?

Check this stat out from the gang at CBS Sports. It puts it all in perspective.

Meanwhile, there is a guy from west-central Florida by way of Boston who always seems to find a way to win. And he has seven times as many rings as Rodgers and 10 times as many Super Bowl appearances.

No, Joe is not worried about the Packers. Instead, it is the rest of the NFC who should be worried about the Bucs and Brady.

Now, about those Rams…

My favorite is hearing Packer fans year after year after year complaining about their receivers and running backs and O line and lack of defense… Whatever!!
Year after year they win their division and have a pretty damn good team,
    there’s been one constant for 14 years….

  2. Steven007 Says:

I’m not worried about the Packers at all until we finish the Rams, and that’s assuming the Packers win their game this weekend. That said, Lambo at this time of year is no picnic. But all bet that our quarterback has played more cold weather games than their quarterback.

  3. Brandon Says:

Rodgers choking wasn’t the reason his team lost to us last season in the playoffs. Totally discounting Rodgers is a huge mistake… especially considering the storyline going on this year with him being unvaccinated… who better to show the failures of the US COVID protocol than someone that has bucked the system. If he hasn’t choked due to people wishing suspension, expulsion, and death upon him, he probably isn’t as likely to choke in the playoffs.

  4. Steven007 Says:

    *Lambeau

  5. Listnfrmafar Says:

Packers are favored by 5.5 over 49ers. If Boza can play I like 9ers chances. Karen Roger’s is a blow.

  6. zzbucs Says:

    @Steven007 10000% with you Sir….well said….One step at a a time….. Don´t order desert till you finish your first plate……

  7. Swampbuc Says:

The Niners just might knock off the Puckers. Bosa needs to be healthy. And Jimmy G needs to just give the ball to Deebo and throw it to Kittle.

  8. DingleBerry Says:

Took me way to long to put together that 6 of his postseason wins against NFC teams were the 6 Super Bowls he won with the Patriots lol.

I was like wait… He’s only played 4 post season games with us? Lmao my brain farted.

  9. alton d green Says:

what the hell?? is today January 18th.??? Do you guys know a coach from New England??????????? A reporter knows better that to even mention a game beyond the next one. “On to Cincinnati” hahaha The Bucs have a big mtn. to climb this weekend. I hope we can play without injuring the damn waterboy and/or the cheerleaders

  10. BA4President Says:

@Dingleberry I’m with you. The accomplishment is awesome, but that stat alone is a bit deceiving.

It makes it look like Brady earned those ten wins over a two year span.

  11. Jmarkbuc Says:

Whether it’s Lafleur who chokes or Kaaron doesn’t matter to me.

I hope the Niners step on his toes and beat the cheeseheads. Let’s keep the playoffs in Rayjay.

  12. Shecky Says:

It’s always something with Packer fans and Rodgers apologists; Mike McCarthy, the defense, some guy was injured, etc… Not joking when I say many would rather go around bragging about “how great Aaron is!” than to actually win a Super Bowl.

  13. HC Grover Says:

    Brady over 400
    D 2 turnovers
    Bucs run for over 100

    Bucs win.

  14. cmurda Says:

Packers better be worried about the 9ers. We obviously need to worry about the Rams. I’m not worried about any other team beyond that including if we win. This is the real Superbowl. just like last year it was the Saints win in the playoffs and in 2002 it was the Eagles. You just know that when your team passes those specific tests, they aren’t going to be stopped.

  15. Reddington Neck Shores Says:

Beware the Covid toe. I hope bosa knocks him so hard SF comes to champa bay to fight for the right to the superbowl

  16. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Cmurda

    You know it’s my SB!!

Beat the F’n Rams! Third times a charm. I would like 38-17 please.👀

  17. Perimeter Blocker Says:

    Rams>Packers

  18. BucsFanSince1976 Says:

Bucs are favored by 3 for good reason. Stafford will be under duress all game , and will have to throw it 50 times , which will lead to at least two turnovers or more.
Rams have one LESS day of rest and travel across the country. Betting against west coast underdogs traveling east over the last 5 years is an astonishing 66% win rate by betting against dogs heading east.
Is the league going to punish Aaron Donald for his reckless violent behavior in the 3rd Quarter? I believe that they definitely will-and his punishment could easily be a one game suspension. NFL wants Bucs back in Super Bowl.

  19. adam from ny Says:

aaron donald was a bad boy and must be punished accordingly…

he is not bigger than commissioner goodell

  20. cmurda Says:

    @BucsFanSince1976

You think the NFL would rather the Bucs in the SB instead of the ginormous market of LA?

Suspend Aaron Donald for a playoff game? No way. At most it will be a nasty fine. I don’t want that to happen. We beat them with their best or lose if it happens but I want no excuses.

  21. BucsFanSince1976 Says:

The whole northeast is Brady country-pretty ginormous. Donald is a repeat offender , reap what you sow.

  22. Jaymiss Pick6 Again Says:

Vegas favors Bucs over Rams by 3 right now….hmmmmm.

  23. fern Says:

    run the ball
    play action
    no turnovers
    Bury Stafford

    1) Look up Tre’ Johnson of Washington, who was involved in a fight in the 1999 playoffs, hit a ref, and played the next week vs. the Bucs. They suspended him for a regular season game the next season. I highly doubt they’ll do anything to Donald.
    2) The NFL wants the bigger market team to win, IMHO.

  25. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Fern

Catch the picks he throws to us.

  26. fern Says:

    Lenny tweeted he back Sunday!!!

  27. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Joe In Michigan

I posted this morning that we wouldn’t be able to overcome the shield’s desire to have the Rams in a LA SB….

Maybe, just maybe Brady juju is strong enough.

The officiating on Sunday will speak volumes.

  28. HomerSimpsonRocks Says:

Yeah. Rams game will be harder IMHO.

  29. DavidBigBucFan99 Says:

Fans are funny getting all uptight because someone speaks about a future game like they’re playing in it and will cause the Bucs to lose. Do you guys really think the coaches and players are really thinking about the Packers right now??? You best believe their entire focus is on the mountain they have been unable to climb over the last two seasons. The last Buc qb to do that was the ATM who helped hang 48 points on them and if they absolutely want to win need to hang that much on them this time because this Rams team with Cooper Kupp has hung a lot of points on our defense and even though we’ve blocked Donald well still can’t beat them. So relax a bit and enjoy Joe’s interesting stats about Brady and be happy you’re not playing because we’d surely lose then

  30. Tackleblockwin Says:

So little faith in so many Bucs fans lol. It should be a good game. As far as Packers vs 49ers… Rodgers will prob go uptempo to limit 49ers substituting and pass all over them. If the Pack is successful uptempo the 49ers will be gassed.

  31. Stone crab sam Says:

    ‘Drama queen Karen rodgers’
That’s all that needs to be said😎

  32. mg Says:

    That stat is astonishing.
14 years in Green Bush is no excuse.

  33. Mr Bean Says:

Brady Magic is correct. It is uncanny. Great QBs finish their career with one or two SB wins; even none (Marino). What TB12 did in his first year as a starter or last year after changing teams is unparalleled.

NE looked scared to ask Mac Jones to throw the ball until it was too late last weekend – Brady, on the other hand, in his first year was setting postseason records for consecutive completions. A guy who barely got picked in the sixth round.

There is no story like the Brady story, and so lucky to have him with the Bucs, win or lose; great run.

  34. Nickster82 Says:

    Packers won’t beat the niners.
Rams are who we should worry about. Defense is the key to this. Playoff defense is back and they need to keep it up. Line injuries are a real problem. That a strength of ours, as well as a strength for them pass rush. Confident in coaches and tb12 to game plan that. Go Bucs
Score quick and often. Let’s fire the cannons
    Run the ball- Lenny
Let’s get another home playoff game

  35. Goatwatcher Says:

Rogers TOTALLY choked against the Bucs last playoff. The turnovers he did nothing with, and then the defining choke–not running the ball into the end zone on third down and forcing a pass that had no chance. Brady, or my grandmother, could have rushed for that TD.

  36. Darin Says:

Someone photoshopped a beard onto Rory Culkin.

  37. unbelievable Says:

So many insane stats when it comes to Brady.

Soak it in Bucs fans. Soak it in.

    LFG!

  38. Ontario Mike Says:

Again, two words-PLAY ACTION. Watch any Bucs win like last week and TB12’s big plays involved play action to give him that split second extra to find the receiver with the best separation. If he stays on his feet this Sunday, we win.

  39. unbelievable Says:

Uh, you guys know that the home team being favored by 3 means Vegas thinks both teams are evenly matched… the 3 points is simply the “home field advantage”.

  40. Jay Says:

How does Brady have 10 NFC postseason wins? 1 this year and 4 last year, when else?

  41. Boo Radley Says:

Gonna half to put Gronk on the right end to double edge rusher with Wirfs and Wells hobbled. Then watch him release when Tom signals and picking up an easy 15 or more. Brady will not have time in the pocket until he wears down the rush. Then PA to his best target. Hurry up, no huddle offense if they are moving the ball. Tom Brady, better than any QB in history, knows how to improvise and make heroes out of back up receivers. If you ever have time, review the last half of his 2019 season with the Pats and how he carried his depleted offense into the playoffs (first round L to Titans).

  42. cmurda Says:

Superbowls Jay. 6 of them against NFC teams. It was 3 wins last year. 1 this year.

  43. bucs4life Says:

If we win and go to Green Bay with this current receiving corps against the Packer defense, we’re not winning that game. Especially with Jaire Alexander back. Cross your fingers, Joey.
