Tom Brady Made The Pro Bowl

December 20th, 2021

Pro Bowler

It’s official!

The Bucs have at least one Pro Bowler, matching their total from glorious 2020 season.

And that guy is Tom Brady.

Even after last night’s clunker of a shutout loss to the slimy Saints, Brady still leads the NFL in passing yards (4,348) and touchdowns (36).  He also has the most completions of 20-plus yards in the NFC.

Brady is the first Bucs quarterback to earn a Pro Bowl berth since Jameis Winston was the 14th alternate after the 2015 season.

Do the Bucs have any other Pro Bowlers? That’s unclear. The official announcement will come Wednesday night. The NFL, for marketing purposes, put Brady’s name out there today along with Travis Kelce, Jonathan Taylor, Aaron Donald and Cooper Kupp.

Why the NFL announces a Pro Bowl team with three games remaining (and some teams with four) may be the most moronic thing going. But hey, that’s how a lot of fans feel about the Pro Bowl itself.

Hopefully, no Bucs will be seen at the Pro Bowl, held the week prior to the Super Bowl in Las Vegas.

That would mean the Bucs’ quest for back-to-back Super Bowl wins is toast.

Brady is certainly deserving of the Pro Bowl……He is truly the greatest QB of all time….
What many don’t understand it that he is fallible….he makes mistakes….and he made several last night contributing to the loss.
He didn’t have his usual luxury of ample time in the pocket and it showed.
