No-Excuses Matchup

December 18th, 2021

Take the “Saints” name off the game program. The Bucs are playing a team without both of its superstar offensive tackles and behind that makeshift offensive line will be a backup quarterback.

Joe doesn’t care that it’s the slimy Saints, or even if it was the Cardinals or Packers. This Bucs team should pound every team in the NFL, if it were facing a club down a QB and its tackles. Oh, and the Saints are minus their playcaller and head coach, Sean Payton, and the Bucs are at home.

There simply are no excuses for the Bucs to lose on Sunday, or even to struggle.

Todd Bowles is labeled a defensive mastermind. Well, then it’s time for Bowles to figure out the Saints, even if backup to the backup QB Trevor Siemian enters the game like he did on Halloween.

Joe also wants to see the Bucs’ special teams get up for the challenge of tomorrow night. New Orleans special teams have been elite for years and Joe firmly expects them to take major chances in this game to gain an edge.

Just win, Bucs. And you should win big.

Be nice to finally kick these guys when they’re down. On national T.V. to boot!

Tired of the Jeckle and Hyde games from the Bucs. It’s time for a complete game from start to finish. It bothers me that I can’t feel confident when the Bucs play backup QBs. We too often play down to the level of weaker teams. I’ve got relatives in Louisiana and Mississippi that support the Saints. Bury them please. This game should not be even close. Go Bucs

  3. Saints Gameplan Says:

Mark Ingram is back. So is Alvin Kamara. Their WR corp is decimated.
Taysom Hill under center. No Sean Payton

What does this tell you how they will approach this game? Too obvious!!!
Wild cat formation with Ingram & Kamara in the backfield. A lot of misdirectional run formation with three capable running threats including Hill. Many screens and exotic wheel routes. Maybe old run option plays as well.

Is Todd Bowles up for the task?

This is the Saints Super Bowl/Last Stand. I expect a physical game with Taysum Hill running a bit wild like Josh Allen did. I realize he’s not near the passer Allen is but running out of shotgun is effective for Hill.

Payton being out is pretty huge. Not having to see his punchable face/pursed lips is an added bonus.

Big game, Bucs…on a national stage. Knock The Taints into a complete rebuild with this one.

Heavy dose of run run run to play keep away from Tom Brady and our offense… sprinkled with occasional downfield throws.

The Saints D has prude and to be 11.5 underdogs after winning the last 6 regular season games I’m sure does not settle well. Not all but it seems like quite a few Bucs players take their foot off the gas when they are supposed to pumble a team and then it becomes a dog fight. Should be a blow out and Vegas is begging you to take the Saints.

Bucs win, but do not cover. Why? Because, like the Packers our special teams stink. Saints special teams are historically good. Love our Mr. Irrevelent Grant Stuard, and Ryan Succup, but the rest of ’em just plain suck. They have not blocked any kick in recent memory, and seemingly can not get downfield without a moronic block in the back penalty. Inexcusable. Kieth Armstrong should study some of former ST coach Rich Biascaccia tape. Barring improvement, KA shown be jettisoned. Tony Dungy was loyal to a fault concerning his staff, I hope Bruce Arians is just as blind. Bucs 41-35
    Go Bucs!

  8. Cobraboy Says:

Between Kamara and Hill, the Bucs will see 50 touches from those two.

I suspect the Saints will become angry & physical.

This game will be closer than the spread.

    ^^^is not just as blind.
I promise I will learn to proof before posting. 😣
    Go Bucs!

TBBF will be there so Bucs will win…..I’ll be the fan dressed in red in the south end zone….can’t miss me.

  11. JimBuc2 Says:

TBBF, good on ya man. Hope you get a ball to take home. Fan in the endzone wearing red? Really? Isn’t that a bit like the GI stationed in Asia asking “Have you seen my girl? She’s maybe 5’2″, and has silky black hair”
No, that is not racisist. Don’t even go there.
    Go Bucs!

  12. John Sinclear Says:

Just a grim reminder – Overall the Saints own the Bucs, win-wise, 38 – 21 in games played. This game has not yet been won!

  13. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

Even with so many starters out for the Saints, expect a tough game. Mickey Loomis knows how to draft talent, and Dennis Allen sure knows how to coach.
The Saints are basically playing us for their Season, because if they lose, their playoff chances are pretty much over.
I expect a tough game for us, with a victory. Another poster said that a victory for us tomorrow will send the Saints into full blown rebuild mode! But some feel the Saints are a good QB away from being contenders right now. If they still had Drew Brees, maybe they could hang with us in a shootout, but not with the QB they have now. Brady will score too many points for them to overcome, and they will lose.

    30-13 bucs

  15. Bucfan Says:

We need to come out fired up and ready to play and please, please DO NOT take your foot off of the pedal.

Lets destroy the Saints physically and mentally!!

  16. G.Marosi Says:

All I want for Xmas is a Buc’s blowout vs. my wife’s NFC South Championship Saints on SNF!

  17. stone crab sam Says:

We could be in big trouble here. The saints own the bucs in regular season, kinda like Brett Gardner once owned the rays; and the saints will be playing a back up QB. This isnt good for the home team. I kid you not.

  18. Marine Buc Says:

Bucs will win a close one 28-20.

Unfortunately the Saints defense is still effective enough to cause problems for the Bucs.
