Offense Coming Together

October 27th, 2020

Odd couple, but it works.

Remember this summer when those who covered or monitored the Belicheats would wring their hands wondering how park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting Bucs quarterback Tom Brady would work with Bucco Bruce Arians?

Arians was a “keep firing” coach who wanted his quarterbacks to heave the ball 25 yards downfield on every play, wheres Brady was more like an evildoer who killed people by the papercut?

Well, Brady has not only fit with Arians, but caffeinated ex-punter Pat McAfee believes Brady has made Arians’ offense not only more diverse but lethal.

McAfee makes a helluva point in the video clip below from his show, “The Pat McAfee Show,” seen on YouTube and heard on SiriusXM Radio. Brady playing for Arians has demonstrated he really can throw deep. He’s not just a dink-and-dunk artist.

Joe remembers big summer talking point was Brady (short passes) and Arians (no risk it; no biscuit) were like oil and water. Some didn’t think it would be a good fit.

As it has turned out, Brady may have been the best thing for Arians’ offense.

You can see McAfee’s full take in the video below.

Jersey Clean = winning. And right now he has a pretty clean jersey. Dirty Jersey 50-50 Very simple at this point with all the moving parts functioning well. Again clean jersey + Legit D= Measuring stick in the NFC. GO BUCS!!!!

  3. 813bucboi Says:

BUCS offense is the best we’ve seen in years….

BL is the best OC in the NFC…2nd best in the NFL…..Bowles is the best DC in the NFL….BRADY is the GOAT….

    lets keep stacking Ws…..

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  4. Casual Observer Says:

Brady is so experienced. He has seen everything possible on the football field. And he is super smart, including handling the psychology of both players and coaches. He is a winner in every aspect of the game.

  5. SB Says:

    But………But……. But…………… He is lucky!

  6. Tampabaybucfan Says:

For me the stellar play from our Oline has made the difference…..no sacks, one QB hit in the last 2 games……awesome!!!

  7. August 1976 Buc Says:

A very cruel reminder to set emotion aside. Chris will be out again for the 7th time in last 11 games. The best ability is always first and foremost availability, second is talent. AB is a definite need. Get well Chris. GO BUCS!!!!!

  8. Buc1987 Says:

Brady can stay a Buc for as long as he desires.

  9. 813bucboi Says:

    NDOG

STOP LICKING BETWEEN YOUR LEGS MUTT!!!!

    come out and face JBF!!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!!!

  10. Brianbucs Says:

Isn’t it amazing how much better your offense plays and how many more games you win when you dont have a QB who consistently and continually turns the ball over and costs you games?

  11. Bucsfan81 Says:

Lmao this guy from the video thinks it’s 2010 and Legatette Blount is still on the Bucs…

  12. Bucsfanman Says:

    Only a pea-brain would’ve thought this wouldn’t work out!
20-year vet HOF quarterback with a lethal arsenal of targets? Why? Why would you bet against it?!

  13. Shecky Says:

Well, he is 43. My only concern with Brady is will he be as sharp as he is now come Week 16, 17 and especially from that point going forward. Wouldn’t be the first time a “tail off” like that took place with an older QB.

  14. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

If Arians didn’t conform to Brady then he probably wouldn’t have come here. He wouldn’t be using the TEs and would truly be old stale biscuit!

  15. delson Says:

Park violating? Remind me where crotch grabbing jameis is. Oh 3rd string on the saints bench?

  16. Cobraboy Says:

Lagarett Blount? Have I missed something?

  18. PSL Bob Says:

Bucsfanman, this is what everyone was saying pre season. But, for most Bucs fans, the mind was really thinking, this is the way it should work out, but then again, this is the Bucs. We’re conditioned to expect things to go wrong. So, when it works out the way it should have, expect euphoria! And that’s where we are today. Nationally, the bandwagon already seems to be full. Yet who out there in Bucs Town still doesn’t have their fingers crossed?

  19. RSJCheapSeats Says:

A guy who has gone to NINE Super Bowls helped the BUCS O?

    Shocking, just shocking.

Remember when people made excuses for Winston because QB’s threw picks in the first year under Arians?

Brady has thrown 1 in the last 5 games.

    I

  20. Day1BucsFan Says:

The most important question is who do we pick with the 32nd pick in the draft….Seriously – I didn’t see much pressure from the d-line vs a backup O-line of the Raiders who didn’t practice. Shaq Barrett isn’t getting the same money next year.

  21. SB Says:

    Cobraboy is right.

  22. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

I must admit I was worried about the Arians/Brady marriage too, because I was concerned their Ego’s would clash.
But this has not been the case, at all!

  23. JustBucNwin Says:

Play calling is still suspect as hell! Hope we get more creative and move our receivers around (Evans) to get mismatches.

  24. BDub Says:

It finally feels good to be a Bucs fan again. Period. How long have we waited for this kind season? Years. How many letdowns have we suffered by this point in the season? Many. Enjoy this. I can finally wear my Bucs gear out of the house without feeling like an idiot.

    GO GET EM BUCS!!!

    ………………

But……..But…….But……….That is only because this yr Tom Brady is the Luckiest QB Ever!
And with Jameis, there was wind, bad WR routes, um, weak ROJO running the ball, ……um ………um torn meniscus………..um ………um

  27. REDZONE BA Says:

Brady’s ball placement is ridiculously amazing. He is the TIDE that is lifting all Bucs to better execution, no doubt. I admit when I am wrong. I thought for sure he would flounder in BA’s long developing long-ball offense. What I am seeing though, is a combo of NE offense peppered with long throws when the situation is right. Running game is the key factor for overall success, whether Rojo or Fournette. All cylinders are humming. Playoff % is high especially with remaining schedule at end of year. Crazy!

  28. REDZONE BA Says:

Just looked at remaining schedule. Expect 13-3 regular season record. Chiefs win in a SB preview game. Den of D moniker get retired.

Saints have internal issues (Michael Thomas head case)
JW beat Rams on road, so Brady wins at home? Yep.
Vikings have Kirk Cousins – enough said.
    Falcons – tanking for Trevor

    Road –
Giants > Like NY night life, have conceded the season
Panthers > Challenge, but Bucs are McCaffrey kryptonite
    Lions > please…See Matt Patricia
